Lions have "lick wounds" listed in the character planner. But, I don't yet have enough experience to know if the lions use this only on themselves, use it on themselves and wolves, or use it on themselves and wolves, plus the MM as well. I also don't know it it's a potent healing power or not all that helpful.

Any insights others have to offer would be helpful and appreciated.

its ok, upfront heal + regen

they only lick themselves.

lions at level 6 upgrade

and one other wolf at 32.  cant remember if its tier1 alpha or tier3 dire

I run beast/thermal (current) and beast/ff (retired).  its much more noticeable on a set without player heals.  on the FF I never had to worry about the lions that much and aid other was more than enough to keep them healed in most situations

Thank you for your response.

I went ahead and added aid other / aid self into a beast build I've put together, based on your feedback. It seems clear that it's a higher priority than taking movement skills.

Having a cone heal can be particularly helpful for the all-melee beast minions. That makes good sense.

I'm trying out another path, exploring beast / sonic / mace.

Resists are as follows:

T1 resists to smash / lethal / cold: 17ish % (IIRC)

Resist all from unique IOs: 35%

Sonic shields and dispersion bubble, boosted by resilience alpha: 47% resist to all but psionic

Barrier destiny incarnate, 5% resist all is the floor for added resists for the 2 minute duration (IIRC)

When these resists are added together with fortify pack and defense IOs, and backed up with aid other / self, the beast minions should be quite tanky in most situations.

If you like a fast playstyle, beasts are a good pairing for /kin as kin likes to be in melee anyway, and the beasts are pretty tanky on their own. Transfusion does need a to-hit check, but it's a pretty powerful heal you can get off to top off your pets, especially if you're directing them to your target where you're going to fire off the heal.

Nature is the most obvious and thematic pairing and sure to do well with its various heals, absorbs, and debuffs.

Thermal sounds like an interesting pair with beasts that I think I'm going to try at some point. 😛

I primarily play on Everlasting, but you may occasionally find me on Indom. 🙂

Notable Characters: Apocolyptica - Demons/Storm MM; Lurking Monster - Human-Form WS; Environmentabot - Bots/Nature MM; Miss Fade - Ill/Traps Controller; Sister Apocalypse - Beast/Dark MM; Dr. Elaina Wrath - Plant/Rad Controller (Join the House of Wrath, and spread the word of science!); Ruff Ruff Boom - AR/Devices Blaster

It'd also allow you to make the dad joke of how you love hot dogs.
