Gobbledigook
I would try to help but the whole build is just wrong and i am not trying to be mean. No defence barely in granite. A knockback/knockdown in irradiate ground??? To many sets boosting stats you don't need in Granite. My suggestion is look through previous posts for some builds or google them. Best i can offer sorry.

It provides great mitigation and is amusing to see the entire group around you all fall down together. As to your comment of barely no defense in granite, there is plenty, especially for fire which you must have missed the comment that this was a build for fire farming. As too your comment about too many boosting sets not needed in granite, one's life is not always spent in granite. I did mention this was a first pass and yes looking at other builds is always good, but other than that you could have just said nothing as opposed to bumping your post count. cohRock
Thank you, @Unknown AT . I am the "Glowie Me" you made this example build for. @Gobbledegook , he made this build for me in game. My tank was about to hit 50 and we had been discussing various sets. We share the Radiation Melee attack set, but he was on a Fire brute. We were actually in a Fire farm. Glowie died a couple times when not paying attention to the battle. He correctly ascertained that my fire defense was not what it could be. (Granite with two defense IOs gives him over 28% defense to everything except psi and toxic.) AT seemed to freeze at a calm point for 10 or so minutes. Next thing I know, he told me that he had a first pass at a build, and here it is. 🙂 One thing I find funny is that AT thought I want a "fire farmer build". Glowie is a stone tank -- he can be an "everything but psi" farmer. Granite form gives him 78% resistance to all but psi, and the auto set Stone Skin caps smash/lethal resistance at 90. He has already brought fire/cold resist up to about 80.5 with the one set he does have now, 4 of Gift of Ancients. I'll be replicating that in two more defense powers, bringing fire/cold resist to 85, and greatly mitigating the slow effects of Granite and Rooted. I'm considering the other ideas, but in the context of my first character on Live being a stone/stone tank. Thank you, AT for taking the time to do this. Nemu
It doesn't take much to cap your resists and typed defenses in granite if you slot granite with both defense and resist enhancements, all you need is weave. That leaves room for a lot of options and most people will build for recharge to offset the -recharge in granite. I went a different way and brought up your slow resist, have you ever been hit with -recharge while in granite? I also made it so you can be effective outside of granite too for normal team content. It's not a cheap build but greatness has a price, and it's pretty pricey. You are right I didn't see the small print at the very bottom of your post sorry, it should've been made much clearer really. But no need to be so defensive, I wasn't trying to be mean I just wanted you to go and do some more research as I didn't think it was a good build and I still don't think it is. If you want a KD proc for extra mitigation that you don't need then do it for the fun factor but there are far better options. Anyway good luck with the build 😀. fitzsimmons
Meh, I wouldn't fire farm in granite. You get a -dmg and -rech penalty while in granite. It's unclear to me if Glowie wants to fire farm with it. I'd recommend against it. You can but it won't be that effective. Instead, build something that can survive everything. Regarding the build, your resists are way over cap and AE enemies aren't going to debuff your resistance, If you want to have fun with a granite beating stuff up (while wearing granite) then I suggest a run speed build. I have a lot of fun with my granite/ss tank who runs 39.85 in granite (without rooted) while using the base empowerment buff. His only hole is psi but he's softcapped everywhere else as well as resistance and HP capped. Zero end issues as well. He's good for any content and just runs down mobs. Here's my build (after Bopper improved it drastically). If you like it, adapt it to work with whatever primary you want.
