Mind Control Alternate Fx

Mind Control needs some alternate FX. While I think the spirals work well for some character concepts, I think some new alternate FX might be much more interesting. 
 

For example, some of the Fx from the Awakened or the MoM trial could be reused.

Eh. I'm personally fine with them, generally, but won't turn down options. Options are part of what make things fun and make your character "yours."

Last I heard (and this might not be the case anymore) working on a new FX theme for an existing powerset is almost as much effort as making a completely new powerset, since the majority of the work is the visual side of things.

 

So its likely the effort may instead be focused on creating another Powerset entirely, but it depends on how willing the team are in dedicating time to customisation over content.

I did have this idea for a Psionic Control set based on the Awakened and MoM trail, along with a few other new psionic sets earlier in the thread too.
 

So if its true that the devs might be prioritising visuals for new powersets over old ones, this is what it could look like.

Your best bet is to ask Modders to help you out there. We are putting together tools to mod visual effects and it seems there are a few visual effects modders working to bring some cool stuff to the game. You'll find it in the tools, utilities and downloads section of the forums. We have tons of Sound Mods and QoL Mods, now we are working on Visual Effects as well.
