Do you really need Energy Mastery as a dark/dark ? I run a Tanker with this combo and I never have end problems, What I did was cut Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom out and the end problems are completely solved. Considering how little work those powers do it's not a huge loss. Mag 2 stun and fear will only ever affect minions anyways.
I am interested in knowing how good Touch of Fear is though, my build was before this power got buffed and I am very hesitant to redo my whole set up to incorporate it in. My build has Pyre Mastery for Fireball to use as my go to aoe power to supplement Shadow Maul

I have a ton of accuracy in my build.  The rolling constant effect of Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom, in combination with being mostly stealthed 100% time (Cloak of Darkness) provides the mitigation needed when I jump in for endless alphas.  This build does not have Defense Debuff Resistance, and honestly not a high amount of built up defense.  Instead it depends on Fear, Stun, to-hit Debuffs, and Stealth.  This layered mitigation, (fueled by a ton of accuracy) is extremely effective.

 

I need to talk to a good builder about how much of Energy Mastery and Recharge I need though.  My build goals have not changed, but I do want to tighten up the build.  I suspect I can slightly back off global recharge, but prob not be able to drop Energy Mastery.  But maybe.

 

Touch of Fear is meh.  It stacks nicely with cloak of fear on ST.  I will be using it in the build.  On high recharge this build is a PBAoE monster.  Not only do I have the stun, fear, and damage auras, I have Shadow maul and Touch of fear doing okay AoE.  AND I have Soul Drain, Dark Consumption and Dark regeneration cycling all the time.  It is a ghetto AoE chain, but it works.  And it works well.

I respeced my tanker last night to try out touch of fear and I really like it. It in addition to Fireball make for a really nice AoE chain. Start out with Soul Drain then I can spam ToF, SM and Fireball pretty much non stop. I use Dark Consumption when needed and only ever use Dark Regen when I get low on HP (which is very rarely) 

 

I really doubt you need Focused Accuracy that much you have a bunch of purple sets with +15% accuracy and a sprinkling of other accuracy set bonuses. It's most likely overkill.
As for Global Recharge, typically the goal is to get perma hasten and stop stacking it after that. On your incarnate build you are 30 seconds over the perma hasten threshold so it's safe to assume that you can back off some global recharge

Nice.  I like Touch of Fear as well.  I use Dark Regeneration as part of my AoE, it is ALWAYS up lol.  

 

THe point about Hasten and Global Recharge is good.  However I am using the new guy as a Badger.  So I will be doing tons of low level content.  Incarnate bonuses only kick in at 50, er, right? I honestly dont know.

 

THe Overkill on Accuracy is probably a good point.  However Oppressive Gloom and Cloak of Fear both have crap base accuracy.  And I run this guy heavy at Incarnate with peeps that love 50+4.  So to make the magic happen I overkill the accuracy.  Which of course feeds the Soul Drain hopper and gets the roller coaster zipping too.  Also, I love thatit mules Rectified Reticle proc.  I can see you, you cannot see me.  Maybe the toon has Meh Defenses, but it is a ghetto controller wrapped up on a Brute warchassis.

Can't really argue there if that's how you like to play it, just keep in mind that you are pretty much wasting 3 power picks for nothing. Focused accuracy's end drain is covered by Superior Conditionning and Physical Perfection.

So if you didn't have that 0.48end/sec drain in your build that isn't doing much anyways you probably wouldn't need the other 2 powers to feed it, letting you use a EPP that will up your damage output like Fireball or Ball Lightning so you can then replace Dark Regen in your AoE chain with one of those and only use Dark Regen when needed. Even slotted for damage like you have it, Dark Regen barely does 25% of the damage Fireball or Ball Lightning does.

Your build would be fairly easy to modify to incorporate one of these 2 into them and if you get Armageddon in there you can even get the 15% accuracy set bonus. Focused accuracy gives 20% and takes 2 other powers to keep up VS a 15% bonus in an enhancement set on a power that brings something useful to the table

this is very good advice.  i am implementing this into my new 50 build.  Although I will be using the Soul Masteryt attacks.  Because, sucker for theme here.

Yeah Fireball, Ball Lightning and Dark Obliteration are pretty much interchangeable. I went fire on mine because it hits a bit harder (~18% harder) and just tinted it black. Though DO has less power requirements so that frees up a slot and you can pick up Taunt which can be useful sometimes to bring ranged enemies into melee.

Finally 50'd! working 50 hours this week, workouts, life...

 

This is the build I went with.  The good news is I did not have to strip the other Dark/Dark.  I had to buy one set of Purples, well 5 pieces.  The set I had in the base was attuned, and I need the raw.

 

I still need to boost the purps, because it takes so much time lol.  But I Incarnated and ran two missions.  A little End Hungry, but man does it do damage.

lol.  Yeah, I still havent taken the time to do it.  After I 50d (Thursday night?  Friday?) I spent the rest of my gaming time Incarnating.  Now tier 4 on all 6 powers (I got real lucky on drops...so many VRs I have two notices of the well left over I did not need to use, one from the weekly, one from the badge)

 

Now I am spending the week (working sigh, so just here and there) knocking out Accolade Powers.

 

This weekend I will start seriously knocking out the 35-50 content.  THen next weekend I will do Christmas madness.

not to sound stupid but when you say boosting a purple are you talking about turning it in to a superior version?

NEVER attune a purple.  It is 1) a waste.   Purples are by nature attuned.  They are a 50 only set with set bonuses that attune down to one.  2) if you attune them you cannot boost them.  So, only buy them in the crafted enhancer section off AH, unattuned.  
 

+5 most purple sets is overkill and gets very little back once ED beats it down.  Having said that over half my slotted purples are +5 boosted.  Because….
