Just looking for some of the best Tank builds for running ITF specifically. this is what i was able to come up with

I’m away from the computer so can’t see or post builds, but have a look at The Tank Gods thread. There’s a lot of discussion, then at some point it morphs into a soloing the ITF thread, with a typical difficulty in the thread being +4x8 no temporary powers, no inspirations, no deaths, enemies buffed. Some runs were also player debuffed and/or further restrictions. Some runs were for time. I think some builds were posted. I posted my SD/MA that did it. If you’re just looking for the hardcore ITF builds, probably start at the end and work back, but I remember it being an interesting thread start to end. I suppose one thing to consider is that the best Tanker builds for soloing the ITF on extreme settings won’t necessarily be the best Tanker build for running it with others. Still, it’s probably a great starting point.

You don't need to build specifically for the ITF. My 'squishy' Fire Armor tanks the ITF all the time. Straight on, face first.

Fire/cold/dark corr was always my favorite character for itf. Cold shields provide team with a defensive buffer against def debuffs, sleet and heat loss shred the avs, benumb is great for cutting healing in the final fight. Dark mastery provides negative damage resists for nictus and an always saturated soul drain damage buff. Fire/kin corr and fire blasters a secondary pick.

 

You didnt mention if your intent was a solo itf purpose or for teaming, so my suggestions would be team oriented. It is rare when building a team for itf that you dont have a melee archetype apply that can provide taunting for the avs so typically the more damage you can provide for a team the faster your run will be. A tanker is generally superfluous levels of mitigation for such a tf, and a scrapper tank can sometimes be more beneficial. As sovera said, a fiery aura tanker/brute is plenty of mitigation for itf, and the increased damage output is often more valuable than any increase in mitigation.
