I think that's entirely down to Traps just being a better set overall (prior to incarnates anyways) than Storm. It's much more endurance friendly and FFG is a game changer due to the mez reisstance you just dont have in /Storm. It makes those late 30s through mid 40s levels much much smoother for /Traps. because /storm won't have powers slotted well enough to even run all the defensive toggles to try to avoid avoid mezzes (at least not without just standing around doing nothing lol) through soft capping S/L/E. Thugs is quite a bit more powerful overall than Bots. What I did is went Range defense cap and then mid way with AOE and Melee and then let Hurricane To Hit Debuff cover the rest of the defense cap. End result I am defense capped all over the place. The problem I think is the mix of pets. The arsonist just dies all the time, then followed by the Bruiser. It is hard to reign the pets in as they seem to go all over the place. EDIT - After playing him a bit more.. For me I realize that I need to push ahead of the pets to sort of get the aggro. I sort of try to split the mobs as well. basically keep the pets on a mob ( usually purple con) that is behind me while I push the mobs in front around with Gale. But basically I try to keep the pets behind me fighting mobs that sneak past me. This way they don't push that much ahead. Especially if I target a runner like a council wolf.. Thunder Strike is useless so needs to be replaced. Static Discharge is sort of big on endurance. I am probably going to replace Thunder Strike with Electrifying Fences. Agreed, I definitely have to take the alpha with bodyguard mode. Usually I open with dropping freezing rain, hopefully the mezzes miss, and then tornado and then Gale to put them back on their backsides. Mystic Ward plus me taking the alpha is actually pretty helpful keeping the arsonist alive until the s$%^ really hits the fan. One thing I've noticed is tornado only proccs the lady grey when it gets initially dropped if its right on some mobs (same with the FF +recharge). The smashing proc from Explosive strike does proc throughout the duration but very very rarely, reminds me of damage procs in caltrops, rains, dmg auras so I figured I'd be better enhancing dmg/recharge/end and set bonsues. Also experimenting with Defense enhancements in the enforcers, trying to see how close I can get the henchmen to softcap before incarnates My current build Spoiler This Villain build was built using Mids Reborn 3.0.6.0https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build! thugsstorm: Level 50 Natural MastermindPrimary Power Set: ThugsSecondary Power Set: Storm SummoningPower Pool: SpeedPower Pool: FightingPower Pool: LeadershipPower Pool: SorceryAncillary Pool: Mace Mastery Villain Profile:Level 1: Call Thugs (A) Superior Mark of Supremacy - That is the over all issue with Masterminds.. It is difficult to go full tilt with them. Meaning some Blaster, Scrapper, Brute, ETC builds you can't click powers fast enough to have them on que sometimes. You almost wish they could recharge faster.. BUT on Masterminds you just can't do that.. You literally have to pace yourself or you hear the endurance warning with in a few seconds. It's like yes I know this power is up but I need to just wait a second more to ding some extra endurance. Or Oh this power is up but I know it will kill my endurance, so I need to use this power instead. BURNOUT on a Mastermind ? You better have Ageless ready or several Blue Inspirations.. Afraid not once I delete the character I get rid of everything. What level do you exemp down to? Do you attune your IO's, use purples, and PVP IO's? I typically run low lvl TF/SF and just have my stuff attuned. Yes, it is a good build for lower lvls, with the ice shields covering def and the demons ember res shield, plus, the demon heal. A good debuff at lvl 1 with Infrigidate -def/-dmg, and shields at 2 and 10 help with def. I had demon/cold/chill had medicine pool just in case for the heal, was capped on res/def, that's all I remember. 1 https://www.twitch.tv/boomie373 The Revenants twitch channel, come watch us face plant, talk smack, and attempt to be world class villains.
Fr0stbyte101 Posted October 27, 2021 Posted October 27, 2021 Yeah, I'll probably be using attuned. I've seen the Mastermind Mondays running all the way down to Posi 1, but they do WSTs also so the flexibility of attuned IOs would be a help. Not trying to min/max perse but just help take out the hardtargets. That's usually what I aim for with most of my toons considering how quickly most groups of mobs are melted anyway. I'll probably respec to take medicine pool early. I'll get on and tinker in mids when I'm not at work. Thanks for the input!
