I mean NPCs like Lady Jane in the "Meet with Lady Jane" mission - you rescue her and then escort her to her goal.  I've done this one a bunch.  It was always a challenge to keep her alive, but the last few times she's quickly aggro'ed / chased something across the map and died.  I can't even get her past the first few rooms anymore.

Another recent -- "The Dark Host" in First Ward.  This one has you escort Blind Makwa and 3 other NPCs from their starting spot to a Spirit Ward.  But last time I got the same thing - They all aggro an ambush that respawns near the start and dash over there.  They certainly aren't chasing anything - they are running to a distant spawn.  Again - know this mission and this seems new.  And similar.

So I'm wondering - has something changed?

Were you running Tactics? Or anything else that increases perception for people around you?

I ask because it's always been the case that +perception powers increase the aggro radius of friendly NPCs, like Lady Jane and Fusionette.

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own.

I forget who taught me that Lady Jane is much less suicidal if you skip rescuing her until you've cleared the rest of the map.

It works well, but I haven't tried the trick on others like Blind Makwa.

I always do it that way, often going to my base to use the empowerment station to make a Grant Invisibility buff to sneak past her guards to finf the chest and clear back to her; the salvage is cheaper than the pain of having to rescue her from her idiotic 'aggro on everything' attitude.

It works well...

Yeah, that's how I run it.  The trick though, is slipping past her without catching her attention.  Not terribly hard, but a real pain when you goof up.

Now if only I can figure out how to keep Twin Shot and the Shining Stars from orbiting me like some crazed, drunken fruit fly swarm.
