Had this idea lately imagine how my blaster arrow would look cool with glowing claws. Since they already have martial powers, maybe something like that but with claws.

And my idea for macros is a easy way to share it. Like we pull one button made by a macro to the chat and we get the code to send to other ppl.

I'm not understanding. You want your Blaster's arrows to have claws? Or you want a /Claws Combat for Blasters? And what purpose would the macro serve? What code do you want to send to other people?

followup is annoying enough to keep up

but if you can eject your spines for projectiles:

caltrops, narrow cone, ranged immobilize

whirlwind animation claw burst

or pierce [organ] for a hold

or a .67 mag knockback shockwave using Flashfires animation

eyefling single target -tohit

In the list of crimes Stalker Claws has, changing FU isn't the worst.

Never said it was. However, I am against taking away powers from players that are using them and enjoying them because other players aren't. And Follow Up is a power that is taken and used. Hells, it gets recommended to me and everyone else in chat every time the subject of making a Claws character comes up.

They did it for DB, Kin, and Savage as well. I'm just saying that tends to be the move in this scenario.

Claws Combat for Blasters. And I though instead I have to search for a code to send the macro to another char of mine, I just get the macro in my power bar and pull it to the chat, or to email, and the code will show there.

Then you needed to should have made that a separate suggestion thread. I've been sitting here trying to figure out what macro you wanted to send what code for Blasters to have a claws secondary.

Well, I though that I made explicity that was talking about 2 subjets in the topic. But I'll do that next time.

I don't think we have to worry as much about the cottage rule in this case because Claws Combat neither exists nor is in the same category as its parent (manipulation vs melee). People might complain if it were removed but they'd be trying to justify "taking away" a power they never had access to.

 

(I have no opinion on whether or not it should be removed. As long as it serves blasters well.)

For a new set, I don't care how the devs build it as long as it is fun and works. I misread the Follow Up post, because I read it as taking Follow Up away from Scrappers. Shifted from new Blaster secondary to yet another thread to take existing things away from players enjoying them. Sorry.

Follow Up is explicitly better than Build Up -- it stacks higher, you'll only lose it if you forget to press the button on-recharge, and it's on all the time. It's a flat upgrade to melee sets that have it. It ramps-up to a constant 90+% damage buff at three stacks, as opposed to Build Up being instantly 80% but then having a downtime while it recharges.

 

That being said, Blasters specifically probably should never have a Follow Up. They're already one of the strongest archetypes, and I don't think a Blaster, specifically, would even want the ramp-up instead of the downtime, because then it's no longer something they can hit for a big buff before they nuke a spawn.

Unless you want to preemptively strike with a powerful attack, (like from stealth, for instance, which is why stalkers eschewed it for BU).  That being said, as a maintain whilst in the midst of combat, FU all the way!
