Trike Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I’ve always liked your Cyberman design. Super evocative of that style. I just watched Shin Ultraman on YouTube last night, so that whole aesthetic was on my mind. Those are the same experiments I did with the screenie of Badger Boy running from Eochai upthread. Letting Krea go wild is nightmare fuel, honestly. I’m surprised it didn’t smooth out the jaggies between the black and white on the chest. That’s one thing it usually fixes. I wonder if it was interpreting the chest as metal, therefore reflecting the background.
Kai Moon Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Okay, let me explain. About a year ago, I was completely blocked for costume ideas for one of my alts. Normally, I struggle for a few weeks, maybe a few months. But for this alt, I'd already been stuck for over a year. I couldn't even think of a decent text-to-image generation prompt. So I decided to go even lazier. I asked ChatGPT to write a text-to-image generation prompt for a morally ambiguous, young adult, male comic book mutant with cold powers. It spat out a decent prompt, referring to icy whites and blues and a cloak and some other style tokens. I then fed that prompt into Stable Diffusion. Finally, I picked an image I liked, and recreated it in game. So this is, in essence, an AI-generated costume. 2
Kai Moon Posted April 7 Posted April 7 And now for the reverse - an AI image of a costume I designed. I had fun generating this. I did a lot of research on this costume - if you can call binge watching Zack Pinsent and Bernadette Banner and okay fine a little Bridgerton "research". So I knew specific keywords to recreate the look in Stable Diffusion consistently. Think "1830s", "equestrian", "tailcoat", "cravat", "sideburns". The AI was definitely on the same wavelength as me, and I didn't even have to inpaint. I did have to wrestle it out of a historic 1830s fashion plate style, and into a modern digital comic book art style, though. 2

Trike Posted April 8 Posted April 8 One of my (many) pulp heroes, the rocket-powered Bullette. As we know, Krea LOOOVES wrinkles, so much so that it put them in her helmet. I kind of dig the weird art deco thing it did with her hat but it's not the character, so I tried to get it to calm down. This is the best I could get. So then I took the prompt over to Bing and it said, "Hold my beer." 😁 Those are the tips of the iceberg. This one, though, isn't exactly right, but it's in the ballpark. Or at least the parking lot of the ballpark. Why it gave her green hair is a mystery. If only the helmet were right, this would be a contender, weird backpack and all. It's still pretty pulpy, though. 5
Braddack Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) i redid my Mastermind to realy have that African Flair. Edited April 8 by Braddack 1
Corlagon Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Technobasher joins the team! Some or most of the pictures that Fooocus gave me do look cool when taken by themselves. However, for some reason it ignored the "visor" part until I wrote, more specifically, "visor over eyes", and I generally failed to bring across the whole idea that major parts of her body had been replaced with cybernetics. Most blatantly, it always ignored the "assymetrical arms" part (I'm only now realizing I misspelled that), except when it inexplicably gave her a gun. The "realistic" presets made her look like somebody from a low-budget movie, although that might have been intentional as I only realized in hindsight. I also missed the fact that a few of the numerous "Styles" Fooocus comes with include a few for cybernetics, although they would simply have added some redundancy to the prompt. Oh well, I gotta try again eventually. 6

Mr. Apocalypse Posted April 9 Posted April 9 (edited) This is one of my favorite Toons Anubis Prime: staff/dark/soul scrapper I ran this through KREA, and extracted the text prompt and plugged it into Co-piolt with a few tweaks to clarify a few details and this is some of the results, I did not propmt anything with text from within the bio. I had to add this image, I was working on another image in co-pilot, and somehow it ignored my last image and added part of the prompt from another image and this was one of the results. I want this. I want a model of it, I want the actual suit. I would LARP 24/7 in it, and I dont do that stuff!. It is quite possibly the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! Edited April 9 by Mr. Apocalypse added another image 7

Trike Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I’m enjoying doing “history of” pictures showing the development of fictional technology over time. Mecha Evolution: https://www.deviantart.com/dashmccool/art/Mecha-Evolution-1037191060 Walking Tank Evolution: https://www.deviantart.com/dashmccool/art/Mecha-Tank-Evolution-1037200069 So I have been trying for weeks to do a similar “history of power armor”, taking the design from steampunk to nanotechnology but I kept getting stuck at the in-between stage where they have exoskeletons that are like the ones we have now that just surround the body, evolving into the powerloader from Aliens. For some reason it kept getting hung up on the “skeleton” part of “exoskeleton”, giving me endless versions of this: Which are cool, but also a little creepy. I got literally dozens of things like that. I tried dumb ideas like “similar to miniature girders” and stuff. Those were so silly I didn’t bother to download them, except for one that was so out-there compared to what I was asking for it made me laugh: Why it took a prompt that read, “a worker wears an exoskeleton that surrounds their body like miniature girders of a building” and turned it into the robot skeleton of a chimpanzee is baffling. Then I had the brainstorm of using the word “framework” combined with “held onto the body with straps and belts”. Finally! Exactly what I wanted. The moral of the story is to keep plugging away, maybe your brain will eventually kick out the right combination of words to make what you want. Now I just have to pick one or two to use. 3

Trike Posted April 9 Posted April 9 2 minutes ago, Mr. Apocalypse said: If only it didn't take me a week to come up with that bio. A writer I am not!! lol Quality takes time! Sometimes for my bios I do dumb one-liners (Hercules Jr.) but sometimes I do a deep dive into history and give it a CoH spin, which is frequent. I mean, I spent an entire afternoon just looking up old-timey phones exchanges (like “Pennsylvania 6-5000” from the Glenn Miller song) for Monster Detective before I settled on “Montrose 6-3000”. Montrose because it sounds like monster, the 6 for the Miller song (my dad’s favorite musician), 3000 for Avengers Endgame (“I love you 3,000.”) For something people just blow right past when reading his bio. 😂 1
Dynamo-Joe Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Remember my Space Pirate from earlier? Captain Azure Dupree? Well I had a version of her over in Champions Online. Krea actually brings the CO version more in-line with the COH version and gets rid of the more "cartoony" aspects of the art! (And yes - she has a cybernetic right arm. So does the COH version, though it's less obvious in the main costume. She also has one near fully cybernetic leg and the other is augmented heavily to keep up with the other and to balance her properly. She nearly died in the attack on her ship that caused her to go Pirate. She's about 40% Cyborg.) 4

You are so right. There NEEDS TO BE A MODEL of this! Maybe somehow translate it into various pieces that can be 3D printed separately and make the statue that way? Or is it even possible to print the entire thing in one go? Then you have to figure out how to PAINT the thing... That would be an amazing project if it could be done! 1
