What secondary do you recommend with Demons?

Wanting to make a new MM and haven't tried Demons yet. 

 

Wondering if anyone has suggestions on the best secondary to go with it, and bonus points if you have builds to share.

You really cannot go wrong with Demons.  They pretty much can go with any thing.  Personally I had the most fun with demon/cold (surprisingly durable) or demons/trick Arrow.  That said you have 1,000 spots per server.  Try them all and find one you like.  They're all devilishly good 👹

Fully agreed with trying out any secondary that sounds fun to you; you never know what will click!

 

That said, both suggestions from evetsleep are great, and I'll also tack on Demons/Storm, Demons/Traps, Demons/Sonic, Demons/Nature. Truly, they work with pretty much everything. Demons/Storm is my favorite so far--absolute end hog, but my god does she shred through things. I don't run heals on her either; if the demons die, I resummon them.

Hmmm, ok - good to know. If anyone has a demon / ? build they're particularly proud of would love to see one.

i have a demon/thermal MM, Fast Food Manager, whipping his employees to work harder! but demons synergises well with thermal since the thermal shields reinforce the mid tier demon's ember shield and the demon's resistances stack easily. so you can get high resistances early on for your demons, and eventually cap some resistance at 90%. it's a fun combo. 🙂

That should be a really good combo. If you slot the Panacea proc in Suppress Pain, it will have a chance to proc on all allies within the area of effect.

 

Demons/Electric is another combo that is very tough.

I will always recommend Demons/Dark. See my guide stickied to the top of this forum is you like 🙂.

 

But as mentioned above, demons go great with anything so theme and looks are always important!

 

Edit: I saw you went with Pain, solid choice! I have one as a Hellraiser themed cenobite!

[Crysis]

HUGE callout for Demon/Storm.  Lots of -RES against enemies, and if you build for +Recharge, your Storm powers are really amazing +Damage all by themselves.  Very thematic as well.  I've long since retired mine but it was once one of the highest DPS builds you could make in the MM AT.  Still very sturdy and very, very high DPS as well.  

 

Ignore Hurricane, Thunder Clap and pretty much  anything in your secondary but Gale, FR, Steamy Mist, Tornado and LS.  Proc out Gale, Tornado and LS with FF+Recharge procs.  Very easy to run double Tornado and LS all the time.  Grab Mace PP and Web Envelope for an AOE hold, although FR often provides enough knockdown you won't need it.  With Teleport's Fold Space I'd def try to work that in these days as well.

Do you by chance have a Mids for that combo as it sounds interesting? If not that's fine as you've provided enough already that I think with time I could figure it out for myself. Still very new to the game so I'm constantly looking at builds people share to help find what works, what works, well, and what doesn't work.

My favorites are Demons/Nature, Demons/Elec, and Demons/Thermal. All incredibly strong defensively.

It’s likely dated now but I still pull her out of mothballs for the occasional ITF or other iTrial stuff and she’s just as potent as she used to be.
