Sonic Melee Powerset

I notice there's Sonic Manipulation as a secondary for Blasters and Sonic Assault for Dominator's secondary. So why not have Sonic Melee for melee Archetypes? It can have the same -Res effect as all the other Sonic powers. I would love to have a new melee powerset for melee Archetypes and melee players like myself. That would be nice.

The melee attacks in Sonic Manipulation don't do -Res. They have a Chance to Hold. The ranged attacks have -Res.

this is a great idea!

it doesn't need to have -res @Wavicle to be disseminated to other sets

even if it did have -res as its gimmick, since sonic is mostly smashing damage

its heavily resisted and the damage per power can be lowered to compensate 

maybe we can get time/water/poison sets in the future too!

... one of the attacks just has to be shouting in the other person's face, a la ... most drill sergeants. >.>

I would hope a sonic melee set would come with at least one ranged power for a screaming/shout animation.  🙂

Pretty sure even the Melee attacks in Sonic Manipulation use screaming/shouting animations.

Have looked at the Dominator set, as I'm happy with my ILL/ENERGY and not the biggest Dom fan.  However, I'd hope for some punches and kicks.

a few alternate sonic attacks have your character shoot them out of your fists 

it kinda looks like havok from xforce or xfactor (i cant remember I'm old)
