Rudra Posted April 30 Posted April 30 (edited) So, I can delete various temp powers from my power list if I don't want them and I routinely do. However, the Experienced power does not let me delete it. I can remove it from my power tray, but it cannot be deleted from my powers list. My request is to let players be able to delete the power from their character if they want. Edit: Oh, and the Holiday Cheer power as well. Selfish characters, scrooge characters, and similar wouldn't be using it anyway, so let players be able to delete that as well. Edited April 30 by Rudra
biostem Posted April 30 Posted April 30 (edited) I wonder if that was done to prevent people from deleting it by accident, and therefore save the devs/GMs from having to handle requests to have it restored... EDIT: What about an option to simply "hide" unwanted powers - they'd still exist on your character, they just wouldn't be visible, unless you opt to "unhide" them... Edited April 30 by biostem

EDIT: What about an option to simply "hide" unwanted powers - they'd still exist on your character, they just wouldn't be visible, unless you opt to "unhide" them... I would prefer deletion. You have to right click a power from the powers list to select to delete it, whereas from the power tray you only get the choice to remove it from the tray. If they refuse to provide a deletion option though, then yeah, at least being able to hide it on the powers list would be nice. As long as it doesn't re-populate to the power tray during respecs. 1
Haijinx Posted May 1 Posted May 1 You can probably use this up easily. Since all patrol xp past the level is lost. Just keep using it till it's out of charges, and instead of 2.5 levels of patrol xp, you'll get <=1

I'm sure @Rudra can speak for themselves, but I believe it's the "please stop helping" kind of mindset, where they do not want any outside assistance, whether it be free XP or anything else...

I look at my power list every time I get a new temp power that doesn't make sense for that character to have and every time I open up the powers window to either check combat attributes or work on incarnate powers, and every time I respec a character for any reason. So not a very helpful trick. Sorry.

Well, yeah, for using the Experienced power. However, it is also not retaining powers that accumulate on my characters that I did not pick and don't fit with the character. I can delete every temp power my characters get other than Experienced and Holiday Cheer. So I can clear out my power window to just those temps those characters would keep/use, except for those two. Why? If a player wants to use them, they will use them. Players should be free to just be able to de-clutter their power window. 2

You can't really spam it if you have multiple charges. 1 Currently playing on Indomitable as @Zork Nemesis; was a Protector native on live.

I suppose you could turn off xp for a couple of hours to compensate

I opened an extra tray on one of my characters to catch the anniversary temp powers as they dropped, and discovered that it was already full of powers that had gotten splatted there during the character's previous respec -- some regular powers, some P2W powers, and a bunch of temp powers, filling that tray and the next one.
TheMoneyMaker Posted May 4 Posted May 4 i think if they make it deletable they should also give you xp debt for deleting it

(Probably not an easy programming job, but would make Rudra happy) Hell yes it would. However, as I said on my 3rd thread for that, I've stopped asking. The changing of explore badges to award patrol xp made it plenty obvious the devs are extremely fond of patrol xp. All I am asking for is the ability to delete temp powers from the power tray that the character will never use like every other temp power.
