Night of Dragons Posted May 4 Posted May 4 I was looking over the psychic powers in the game and realized there is very little for telekinetic powers. Lotta psi sets but they're mostly mental effects with a couple 'throw things around' type powers. Would it be possible to get some powersets that focus more on telekinetic powers over telepathic powers at some point? Imagine it would probably have a lot of knockdown, knockback, and throws. Lol. Maybe a power similar to Propel in there. 4 1
CrusaderDroid Posted May 5 Posted May 5 So realistically you'll just get told "play Gravity Control", and Gravity Control gets you most of the way there already. That said, a Telekinetic Blast T9 power that is dropping half a parking garage worth of cars on top of an area is hilarious, and I think there's a way to make it work that's meaningfully different from the existing psi sets. At the very least, the animations would be flashy, and flashy animations are like half the reason to play a set. Having a bunch of knockback is pretty bad though. You'll just end up being compared to Energy Blast - bad spot to be in, not just because knockback in general is bad for teams with melee but because getting in a direct comparison makes it easier for one to overshadow the other. If we aren't interested in making new gimmick effects, we could have every power apply varying magnitudes of holds or immobilizes - such that eventually you'll trap an enemy under a pile of debris. That seems pretty fun to try out. 1 Aspiring game designer and minotaur main. Anyone can tear something down. The true talent is building it back up again, better than before. GhostlyLion Posted May 6 Posted May 6 I'd appreciate a telekinetic powerset as well. I recently made a more telekinetic focused psychic by using Gravity Control and recoloring them psychic pink, but the various wormhole/teleportation powers in Gravity definitely don't fit the concept. 1 1
biostem Posted May 8 Posted May 8 The question is, would this set consist of your character just launching objects of different sizes at enemies, or are you looking more for the "throw around enemies" type of telekinesis?
Night of Dragons Posted May 8 Author Posted May 8 More the latter, though with some of the former. Lol. That's why I mentioned Propel as a possible idea. Chuck some random objects around (bonus points of it can be matched to the tileset you're on, but that's a huge ask) but also throw mobs around. Maybe a damage but with some cc elements as well. Like a knockup, a knockdown, a knockback, a hold, etc. A couple telekinetic punches or bolts. A final power that creates a storm of flying/spinning objects? I dunno. Mostly wanted to pitch the idea. I was a bit disappointed to see that the few TK powers are kinda afterthoughts to more psionic Telepathy type powers. 2

Pink Gravity Control + Combat-only Battle Fury head aura, maybe throw in the attacks from Force of Will (cause they do psi damage and KD), and you're a classic comic book telekinetic. Night of Dragons Posted May 9 Author Posted May 9 I do have a Gravity Controller, but it really doesn't feel like TK to me. Lol. Not sure if it's the mechanics or the animation/particles, but it feels way too much like cosmic space powers to fit into the telekinesis vibe. Least for me. I do see the point that it's currently the closest option. ^_^

TK does not have to be KB could be stick to walls or ceilings, hold foes in place, redirect shots, objects or even foes into one another TK could also include force fields Edited May 15 by Saiyajinzoningen 1 2 Its easy to criticize a suggestion but can you suggest an alternative?
