I'll try to be there next week with Horrere - Sonic/Cold Corruptor.

And I goofed when I mentioned incarnate inspirations earlier today.  I think the team lead had stocked up on large team inspirations.  The major thing I remember from my runs from this is that the loss of set bonuses is definitely noticeable, so inspirations - team/dual/etc. - really help balance things a bit. Also, for those who have the cash, amplifiers/boosters from the ST.A.R.T. vendor really help.  This is the sort of thing where throwing everything you have saved up as temps. is sort of necessary.

Solid advice, I'll add you to the roster.

Sign-Up for Sunday, July 21st - 'The Various Badges' Badge Run

  1. @Glacier Peak

Sign me up for this one under my global @Midnyte, and of course I'll be cycling through the characters who have the mission. Some may be under my second account, @Parallel Midnyte. In the meantime, I'm going to get a solid list of the characters, post it here mainly to have a numerical count, and make sure they are all parked at the mission door and otherwise ready to roll. Another thing to point out is that this is solely for the badge and not necessarily XP, because most of these characters have progressed far beyond Roy Cooling so these are many many levels old.😊

For those of you who want to make the Worthy Opponent Indom Badge Run easier and have time/inf on their hands, I recommend doing the following:

  • Change Alignment to Vigilante so that you get Positron when you use the Ranged Signature Summon
  • Base Empowerment Temp powers have a 90-minute timer, I recommend the +recharge time
  • The S.T.A.R.T. vendor offers three types of 2-hour long Amplifier temporary powers - buy them before the TF starts (or if you have them in your Character Items, use them as needed). Also pick up Envenomed Daggers to help with the -regen and Back Up Radio for additional dmg from pet.
  • Speaking of Pet, snag either the Tank or the Ranged Signature Summon from the S.T.A.R.T. vendor
  • Grab a Shivan Shard temporary power from Bloody Bay
  • Warburg Nukes! Optional but nice to have in final mission
  • Build Snowbeast: optional but can be useful

That said, we still have room for about three more players if anyone still wants to sign up for Sunday. If not, I will recruit once in-game on Sunday.

Well done all! Aside from me dying a few times, everyone else was fantastic. Big shout out to those who showed up and answered the call when we were short a few. Solid tanking, great pulls by @FrauleinMental and the teleports were on point the whole time. I thought it was going to take us two hours, but it was only 45 minutes!

Sunday, July 7th - Worthy Opponent: This run will consist of completing the Lord Recluse Strike Force using the Old School Challenge setting. This setting disables Incarnate powers, Enhancement Set Bonuses and Super Inspirations. It also reverts Mission 4's Vindicators fight to have all five heroes returned to their original level of 54, and Mission 5's Freedom Phalanx fight to have all eight heroes returned to their original level of 54. Due to this added difficulty, I will run it at -1 Mission Difficulty setting. No special Archetype or builds are required for this run, bring whomever you would like the badge on! Defeats will be likely and we will be going at a leisurely pace, so expect it to take 2-3 hours. We will meet in Ouroboros, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting people. (Thanks for suggesting this @ZorkNemesis!)

Looks like we've only got two signed up for this weekend's Indom Badge Run. If we don't get at least 6 signed up, I will likely cancel this week's iteration due to lack of participation. If you need the Freezer Burn badge though, this is the right place to sign up!

That would be a shame to have to cancel, but understandable. I'm sure there are plenty of badgers around who would join but simply don't read the forum. Where is our marketing committee when we need them? 😁

Glacier Peak, I don't have this list finished yet but am working on it, for our planning purposes tomorrow. I thought I'd be working on it more this week but have had an out-of-town friend visiting and it was a whirlwind of IRL socializing. Ready for some down time in the "City" this weekend! 😄

It's that time of the week again - time for the weekly Indom Badge Runs! We've got some space this week and we're not doing anything too difficult either. Feel free to sign up for one, two, or all three as you need.

[1100 PT / 1200 MT / 1300 CT / 1400 ET] Sunday, July 21st - 'The Various Badges' Badge Run: This badge run will consist of running various badge missions/defeat requirements for three specific badges. The first is the No One Left Behind badge which is difficult when solo, but with a team should be much easier! The second is Call of the Void, because it's an awesome badge and will be easy to snag on a team. The third is a trickier badge, 4 of the 6 we will defeat in the Abandon Sewers, then the other two we will snag through the Positron Task Force(s). Defeats will not be likely and we will be going at a leisurely pace, so expect it to take 2 hours max. We will meet in Ouroboros, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting people. (Thanks for suggesting this @Midnyte!)

Badges:

  • File:Badge i19 hero storyarcoptional.png No One Left Behind: Rescue all of the injured Rogue PPD in The Only Way mission for Roy Cooling. (Thanks for saving 5 instances of this badge run @Midnyte)
  • File:Defeat VoidHunter.png Call of the Void: Defeat 100 Void Hunters. (Vigilante mission "Cloud of Odorous Smoke set to -1/8 Mission Difficulty Setting).
  • File:badge_vahzilok_bosses.pngEpidemiologist: Defeat the notable leaders of Vahzilok - Pathogen, Malady, Salamander, Newt, Cortex, Grey Matter, Dr. Vahzilok, Doc Buzzsaw & Dr. Meinst.

Sign-Up for Sunday, July 21st - 'The Various Badges' Badge Run:

  1. @Glacier Peak Glacier Peak - Ice/Cold Corruptor
  2. @Midnyte
  3. @Parallel Midnyte
  4. @Cece - Offbeat - Mind/Kinetic Controller

Oh and I will also add that the following week is currently open to any ideas or Badges that folks want to go after. I can rerun the Arena All Star Accolade badge run for folks who need those tricky arena match badges too (it seemed to be the most popular Indom Badge run we've done, happy to run again if other characters need it).

Spoiler

PvP Badges: Tournament Victor and Pentad Victor take the most time, so we will be doing these first and once everyone has those two, we will proceed to the other three Arena badges. If you want to switch badgers after each attempt, you are more than welcome as needed. We will meet inside the Pocket D Arena area, I'll be there 15 minutes early to start inviting people. ***I'm locking the player count at 8 for this run to ensure I can respect the two hour time estimate for players who sign up.***

I had to miss the pvp runs so would be glad to do those again sometime. I also have other ideas, such as Pyromaniac from Mr. G, another timed one, but that one I've gotten pretty good at being successful the first attempt. Also the two defeat badges from mayhem missions, Vandal and Impounder, I've learned to get those from Mr. G's mission "Cause Mayhem in Brickstown" and now I don't even bother with mayhem missions anymore. Just some ideas off the top of my head. Although, running that with my two accounts inside the mission, there might be an issue with only the active character getting credit for the defeats, but I'm still testing it.

  • Designated Winner stays in match after timer finishes countdown, all others quit out once timer concludes.
  • Occasionally, players advance to the next match but have no one to fight. It’s okay! The rounds will continue and the designated winner will still receive the badge at the end of the tournament.
  • Lastly, after the 1st and 2nd rounds, at least 1 person (the Designated Winner) should see the following text announcement: "Round 2 begins in 2 minutes"
