While DFB does not need much help I was thinking of other rewards for other trials and triallike things

Drowning in Blood, SSB, etc

5-25 merits with 18hr lockout.  no diminishing returns

3~ bars of patrol exp instantly granted with 18hr lockout.  no diminishing returns.

or maybe do that variance thing based on level like with what you did with exploration badges.

Drowning in Blood offers you a choice of temp powers good through lvl 30. (It's also supposed to give 2 merits but not sure if that's still bugged.) Summer Blockbuster offers you a choice of an Overwhelming Force IO or 8 merits. Terra Volta/Tree of Thorns offers a choice of merits or a respec. Eden and Abandoned Sewer give you a Hydra or Titan enhancement plus merits. Cathedral of Pain gives you a temp power good for a week. (Don't recall if it gives merits too or it's a choice.) The current rewards are more than adequate.

... well, we'd have a new contender for "most skipped reward."

Honestly, we've got reward selections elsewhere that also need a good looking at. (SSAs offering... an SO? Siren's Call bounty rewards just sucking in general?) A pass on everything would be useful.

It would replace the choice of SO being the most skipped.   The reward tables on SSAs need some work since you can lock out rewards if you do the red side, but not the blue.  (It's been awhile since I found that, but somewhere I posted a thread on that)

Its 29.  they go away at 30.  I had this idea to play a character only once a week or so for WSTs so i can keep START Boosters + Shivian bonuses and was very upset when I leveled up to 30 and they went away

So you wouldnt run it twice/join just because/helping someone elses group and get a little something?

I wouldn't consider a few bars of patrol XP a reward, any more than I would working a 12 hour day and being given a warm can of Dr.Storebrand Cola one. Thought that was pretty clear.

What does stating a reward isn't worth selecting have to do with whether or not someone will run something multiple times to help others or just because their friends want to do it? My stance on Patrol XP as reward is a given. Or at least I expect it to be so by this point in time. More sources of something I wish never existed and wish that I had the option to disable from my own experience? No thanks.

I'm guessing this would be a bad time to pitch a trial reward called "Mentoring" that gives someone else a bar of Patrol XP?

I'll occasionally take the "Choose Nothing" option if there's no reward I care about (of my remaining choices, if on diminished returns).  It'd be nice if the HC Devs got tallys on that choice so they have an idea of what trials need better reward tables.

I actually find myself doing that a lot... normally because the reward table is offering an inspiration or something else I don't have room for, don't need, or don't care about.

Edit: Though I should also point out if we have the option/ability to, I won't give others Patrol XP either unless they specifically tell me they would like me to do so.

We both should know that any suggestion would go through the devs testing and such.  while 3 bars is what i suggest they would do their own thing.

Now, please keep in mind I am looking for more carrots on a stick to get people to do things.  3 bars of patrol is by far not set in stone by any means.

and from personal experience, i am loving the whole Patrol Exp granted from Exploration badges at all levels.

See, I hate that that was changed. I can't see it having been some ridiculously exploitive or overpowered reward to get a little XP for finding exploration badges - and it was a useful reward no matter when you went hunting for explore badges. It feels like a reward was taken *away.*

And honestly, any amount of patrol XP as a reward would feel like a wasted award to me. I'd rather have a level 10 generic knockback recipe. At least that I could make a tiny bit of INF from (and I don't care about INF all that much.) If the game were as punishing as it was back in the early, early issues where people could spend full levels in debt and it had an actual impact, I might feel different, but it's pretty much always just been "meh."

I don't think I'd support anything that forces something else on another player. And if they get an "Accept? y/n" well... what happens if they say no? Given you can't apparently speed the recharge of a rejected/failed rez, I'd assume it would just be gone.
