Posi 1 and we zerged everything

I was lucky enough tonight to be on one helluva team for both Posi's, but the way we melted everything in our path through all the usual crazy parts of Posi 1 was something I haven't seen...maybe ever? I mean, the Vahz ambushes almost had you feeling bad for them as they marched into their doom. We cleared around the City Hall door and proceeded to demolish everything before it got out the door good. We go inside and decimate the two groups of COT. Someone asks "rush or pull?", we stand around for a moment then someone says "rush" and we do...and I swear I heard one of the shadow clones call out for it's mother. We swarmed them and just utterly destroyed them. It. Was. Beautiful.

It's a group like that which makes me want to completely clear the city hall plaza as well as the inside of city hall.  It probably wouldn't take long.

I love groups like that.  people playing together, characters getting stronger, almost a dungeon crawl feel.

I'm also guessing there were no players with Marine or Traps; those two powersets tend to break the clone fight something fierce.

Actually, we had one person with Marine Affinity. I just think we hit them so hard and fast that the shadow clone was struggling to just be a heal bot.

The biggest issue would be having MMs on the team as the Shadow MM get all of the pets.

Leader was a Demons MM.  When I say this was utterly bizarre in how we just crushed them, I mean it was mind boggling.  We had a MM, a marine Defender, a ss/invul tank, an ice dominator, a sentinel, an Arachnos Soldier, I think a Blaster and my Brute.

Any Posi steam rolls has involved high level characters. What characters they were mattered little.

Only high level, I believe, was the tank. The rest of us were mid 20s or lower.

I was going to say I think I was on your team but then say the comp. I had a similar experience yesterday also with leveling characters and including a marine. We actually had a number of toons with support sets. It was murder.

I think I've only ever had trouble with Posi 1 when the difficulty was set at +2 or more.  Maybe also the team has too many sub-15 level characters who are then -1 to the +2 content.  At that level, it makes a huge difference.

 

I had a similar team setup with a couple Marines and an MM but at +2 and the simulacra team, could zero my level 50, fully IOd and purpled, Rad Tanker's health in about six seconds flat.  THROUGH inspirations.  We rocked literally every other part of the TF up to that point like it was easy mode, despite being +2.  It was like hitting a brick wall at the end.

A high level Tanker on lower level content can feel like cheat code. You can see this in any +4 Frostfire run. Mid 20s is still extra powers, slotting, and inspir slots.

 

The game is old. There are simply going to be times when vets of the game get together and blow through content. I believe it will be less and less rare, but certainly there will be times where a team will get together with newer players far less slotted, experienced, or over leveled for the content and struggle in the same situation. I think within the past couple of months I got on a PUG Yin which went through it in 18 minutes. I haven't come close since.

And yet, it was still awe inspiring to all of us on the team. 🤷‍♂️

Haha that reminds me, couple days ago I got on an all Blaster Yin TF - 17 minutes. It was glorious carnage. When you've got multiple people with some sort of alpha strike ready every spawn, the enemy doesn't get to deal much damage.

And did a hour plus long Posi 1 this week. It's always amazing to me how many times a lead will point out to not go to the door early, but to clear out around the stairs and yet, someone goes to the stairs.
