Did the recent patch narrow the gap a bit? The recent patch nerfed Tankers, so Brutes seem like they probably in almost all circumstances now do more damage than Tankers did (where before that wasn't true if you leveraged Tanker target caps).

Oh, I'm not trying to force a round peg in a square hole, but I want to play ALL of the AT's, and find something I enjoy in each of them... trying to keep an open mind to the recent changes. At the moment, I'm thinking that SS/Bio might make a fun combo that's not available as a Scrapper. You could try those combos and see how you like them. Endurance is an issue with EM/INV until you can dip into your Epic powers (I take Energy Mastery pool to deal with that), though- YMMV. Both toons reliably solo most content at +4/8, though. 1

And likewise I am trying for one of each AT on both blue and red sides. Wish me luck as I have a Dom who might actually make it to 50. 1
skoryy Posted Tuesday at 05:25 PM Posted Tuesday at 05:25 PM (edited) I started a Savage/Regen yesterday, and I'm taking him up the slow path. I did test his final build on Brainstorm, though, and he has a lot of fun potential. Update: I tidied his build up with some help from @Spaghetti Betty's SS/Regen and that fun potential just shot up. I have a couple Regen Brutes, the SO/HO only one can run into problems with the lack of slow protection, but the MA/Regen one does well. Especially after the regen upgrade. And yea, @Spaghetti Betty's builds are a great start. (I modify a bit since she plays way more coordinated than I'm capable of. 😉 )
