I could've sworn I read somewhere that 100% resistances to type damage helps with debuff protection...or some benefit to having them at 100%, but danged if I can find that thread. My search skills may not be firing on all cylinders this early, but does anyone know what I am talking about?? Maybe point me in the right direction...please? I don't know maybe I dreamed it...

It's not a dream.

Damage Resistance works as its own debuff resist stat.

So if your tanker its at say 100(+) SLFCEN resist, then even though you're only getting 90 Dam Res, you're still getting 100% debuff resist on those stats.

OK so 100% S/L resistance is 100% resistance to S/L res debuff? Very nice! Thanks loads!

Yes, except in the case of unresistible resistance debuffs.

These are very incredibly rare.  One if the Longbow Wardens has it (there seems to be a Longbow Warden with nearly every weird power) and I am not sure what else.  But I would not sweat the edge cases.  100% will save you from cascading failure in Dr Aeon, and depending on what you run that crap is common!

The Crey Paragon Protectors and Longbow Wardens with radiation powers have an unresistible version of Enervating Field. There used to be several foes with an unresistible version of Tar Patch but it looks like that got fixed.

The Tar Patch thing is because the player version of Tar Patch was also completely unresistable for many many years.  It was uniquely powerful vs tankier enemy groups and MoG/Unstoppable-using enemies.  Dark Miasma is a defensively focused powerset so this extreme boost to offense made the set just unrelentingly powerful... it makes sense that enemy Tar Patch worked the same way.

Treating everyone fairly is great; unfair discrimination is badwrong!

I do not believe the false notion that "your ignorance is just as good as my knowledge."

This is true, but I personally find it to be well less than a big deal.

Let's say you are a tank with 90% resistance to everything, which seems about normal in Homecoming.  You get hit by five opponents that have a -10% resistance debuff for 10 seconds.  Each of them is 90% resisted so you end up with 85% resistance to everything for ten seconds.  Honestly, I don't see the value play of trying to get to 100% in order to take 5% less damage when fighting debuffing enemies.
