Ultimo Posted Friday at 10:45 PM Posted Friday at 10:45 PM So, right now, there's two animations for stealth. First, you're translucent when stealthed, but appear in a slightly less translucent state when engaging in battle. Second, you're completely invisible, but appear in a translucent state when engaging in battle. My suggestion/request is, can we change how the engaged in battle state looks? Either add additional animations, or just change the existing ones, so that once we engage in battle, we lose ALL translucency? As it is, in the first state, you're translucent, or you're translucent. It's really hard to know when your stealth has reengaged, and it's kind of out of character for stealthiness (in truth, I much prefer the way other games represent stealth, by making the character appear to be in deep shadow). Another minor issue is knowing where your character IS when invisible. Perhaps a slight glowing outline around the character when invisible, just so we know where we're positioned?

I'm pretty sure I've used every stealth power in the game, and I've never seen my characters go completely invisible. Only enemies go completely invisible that I am aware of, and only until they are detected. What stealth power(s) are you using that makes you completely invisible?

As a stopgap, you can rotate the camera or character and the pivot point of your FOV is where you're standing.

Scroll down to "Stealth Radius (PvE)" and right click, then select "Monitor Stealth Radius (PvE)" which will add it to your Attribute Monitor. Whenever that value is equal to or greater than 60, you're "stealthed." Snipers and drones can see through until about 130, I think. Not 100% sure the exact number. At 30-35 you can move past most groups quickly without drawing too much attention but they will see you up close. 1 hour ago, Ultimo said: Another minor issue is knowing where your character IS when invisible. Besides the aforementioned pivoting your camera, you can also turn on your own name in options and use that as a visual guide. 2

It's a costume option for stealth powers (Concealment pool, and at least Field Op for Blaster secondary, probably others as well - haven't tested/looked). You can choose: Original (normal translucency) Bright (add color to it) Dark (the dark theme as with most alternate options for powers that can be colored as well) Invisible Bright (practically complete translucency and you can barely see your character like KOA or Spec Ops Longbow) Invisible Dark (practically complete translucency but with the dark theme)

Blaster's Field Operative power has Original, Color Tintable, and No Fade as options. That's it. Just logged on my Assault Rifle/Devices Blaster to verify. And while I'm grateful for bringing to my attention that Stealth has that option, I can still see my character with the invisible option. So I'm going to guess it varies from player to player and computer to computer. Though by the same token, couldn't the player simply choose to not be invisible while using stealth if (s)he/they has problems keeping track of his/her/their character? (Though I'm fine with a lose all transparency option while in combat, I don't understand why someone would use an option that seems to cause him/her/them problems.) Edit: Ahahah! I get it. If I don't move around while using the invisible option, my character does indeed disappear. My character reappears (dimly) when I move. Thanks. I understand now. Lower values, you can't pause near anyone. Some mobs have bonus per, such as Family with drones, Praetorian resistance, some sky raider and clockwork bosses give bonus perception, but if you have over 90', you're effectively invisible. (Not sure when Giant Monsters don't see you) Snipers, Drones, and Rularuu Eyeballs ignore stealth.

You can definitely be invisible with stealth, though it's an option. This screen shot is Invisible bright, though if I have my shields up, I get an outline.

Because I can see your character just fine. Though I did fail to see my character when I stepped away from the computer and then came back. Until I hit to move forward and then the character was visible again. And my test character was only running Stealth for the test. Edit: So you know I'm not lying, that character is female wearing spandex top and bottom. Colors are blue and yellow, though the yellow looks slightly green like its lime colored. Character has a standard cape with mirrored lightning bolts as detail and is wearing a blue mask. The character is facing away from the viewer and has blue gloves. Similarly, the boots are also blue, with the same yellow/yellow-green color for detail. Edited Saturday at 02:59 AM by Rudra

Right, I forgot Field Op has a no fade option because its default "Original" setting practically near invis. But the point was.... it's all handled in the costume editor. 🙂 And I personally prefer the standard partial translucency and not being completely invisible - I worked hard on my costumes and I wanna see them! ....partially, at least. 😄 But as for the OP, I'm not sure anything is needed here, but I can't also come up with an argument against it either. Perhaps since this is all handled through the costume editor, another option of "outline" or whatever could be added. But "meh" - I'm indifferent either way. 1

This is kinda what OP is talking about though. You turn stealth on, and you have the option of being very translucent and less translucent, or you have the option for almost completely invisible and less translucent. There's no "translucent out of combat and opaque in combat" option except for Stalker Hide. Like you said, I worked hard on my costume, I want to see it! As it is, using stealth this is as opaque as I get. 1 1
