Hyperstrike update please

Hyperstrike has had no posts for 4 months.  then two in the last few hours.  one that indicated he has had a stroke in Tanker Tuesdays thread.  The posts are troubling.  Does anyone have info on what is going on?

It's been made public news elsewhere, so I feel confident that I can share this.

 

Hyperstrike had a stroke a few months back, in late November, I think.  He's still in the process of recovering both in his life and his ability to play the game and be present on the forums.  He definitely wants to.

 

He's mostly posted simple messages of how things are and some requests for help on the Closed Beta forums.  I can see he's struggling but progressing.  He's in the process of getting back on the Closed Beta Shard Vanguard.

 

Hopefully things will continue to improve for him.

 

And I see Hyperstrike is posting a bit on these forums now.

We've been made aware of the situation, and hope he's able to find some help.

Unfortunately, we don't/can't allow people to post their real life contact info (for safety and privacy reasons), so we've had to moderate the posts where he did so. It may seem callous to respond to a cry for help in that manner, but we've advised him to seek medical assistance if he's having an emergency.

We ask that everyone respect this player's privacy. However, I'll leave this thread open so that people can offer words of encouragement and support.

Hyperstrike, if you read this, we're pulling for you. If you need some real-time assistance with matters pertaining to the game, I recommend DMing/calling a trusted friend through Discord.

I have just talked to someone in regular contact with him/his family. Hyper is safe, he is being cared for. That's all I can say as his family has requested privacy.
