Ultimo Posted May 9 Posted May 9 So, I have a Blaster who is using Atomic Manipulation. The first two powers have an interaction where, if you put one of the powers on an enemy already affected by another of them (eg. Electron Shackles and Positron Shell), it will initiate a combined effect called Gamma Ray (I'm not entirely sure what that effect does). The issue is that I can't seem to recolour the Gamma Ray effect, which appears as a puff of green smoke (or some such, the usual radiation effect). The powers themselves are coloured pale blue and gold, so the green puff is decidedly out of place. Is there some way I don't know of that will let me recolour that puff to match the powers themselves? If not, may I suggest that such effects be made tintable, like the rest of the power set.

Oh come on Snarky, you love the rainbow. 🌈. @Ultimo there's quite a few power interactions like that that would be nice to color (dark extraction for instance). 1

TIL someth!ng new. Edited May 10 by Captain Valiant
Scarlet Shocker Posted May 10 Posted May 10 poor poor @Snarky We know a song about that, don't we boys and girls? 1 If going to space for 11 minutes makes you an astronaut, then I'm probably an expert gynaecologist.

And the decision by the Cryptic devs to perpetuate the popular misperception that the color of radiation is green, which came from the green color of radium-illuminated dials and indicators. The radium paint used for this is a combination of a radium salt and a phosphor that glows when stimulated by the radiation from the radium; it's the phosphor that glows green, not the radium. But because the gamma effect is coded with the same incorrect radiation color, and is buried in the code where it's not accessible via power customization, we're stuck with the wrong color for it even if we've recolored all of a character's radiation powers. 1

That's why most of my rad characters (Like Dr. Cherenkov) have all effects a nice BLUE.
