Lightning Storm -regen

Could -regen be added to Lightning Storm.  Storm is one of my favorite power sets but I think it is still lacking for big fights.

 

Since the attacks from Lighting Storm cannot be directed and are random, this is not a big issue with large numbers of enemies.  But, when you are finally down to the last big boss, such as an AV or monster, then the -regen would be effective.  

 

It still would not be even close to Cold, Dark, Rad, or Thermal even for real -regen.  I think it would be nice bonus to the tier 9 power.

My pylon testing data indicated that Storm is already capable of keeping up in hard 1v1 fights with some of the sets that do -regen due to all of its added damage and -res.

Maybe added to Cat 5, but as Arcane notes, Storm does a decent job of melting targets.   Probably due to it's mix of attack types.

I certainly wouldn’t complain about buffing Storm, but it doesn’t need it, it’s a top tier set. One which is already capable of soloing +4 AVs.

One of the very first threads I saw on the Live forums about soloing AVs was a Storm/Sonic defender.  No regen there though a good bit of -resist.  I wouldn't complain, as Psyonico put it, but Storm is plenty capable of dishing it out.

Just as a note that's Storm Blast, the OP is talking about Storm Summoning.

That is storm blast.

The only boost lightning storm needs is making it mobile so you can drag it around

Storm is super good when played well tbh 💛 I tend to have a Storm/storm defender on my 4 star runs and omg does she melt!

Do they skip Tornado or something I guess? Storm Summoning was infamously labeled an “active detriment” (lowest tier possible) to 4 star teams in Loc’s early guide. I would have never dreamed of trying to join one with any of my Storms. 
 

I guess it does become easier to justify carry slots when you’re running with overpowered changelings that simultaneously fill a Tanker and a Blaster spot with just one character, but still. I’d be interested to see a build screenshot.

Nope they spam that bad boy, a lot of the "meta" around 4 star has been blown out of proportion imo as I run them every weekday with having things like multiple Arachnos soldiers on the defence role, defenders as damage, controllers/masterminds as healers etc

I mean you’re still running 6 support, so I’d say the general sense of the 4 star meta is still there, but great to hear!

I run with 3 people who can provide 22% def buff (Which includes arachnos soldier)
1 main healer like a nature or EA etc
1 kin for all the ID and boosts

And that is it in extent of "support" which I wouldn't exactly class as running 6 support as the "meta" term goes
