EggKookoo
I love my Stalker(s). I really do. But also, I love my costumes. I mean, that's a major part of this game, right? You spend a considerable amount of time creating the perfect costume. Then you slap it on a Stalker and no one ever gets to see it. Including you! Would it be possible to implement a feature where I, as a Stalker, could continue to see myself at full opacity when Hide is active? I'm not suggesting a change in the Hide mechanic at all, and in all likelihood it makes sense to still make everyone else see me faded (or not at all for PvP). I just mean on my own screen, running around... I mean... I look cool, right?

Solarverse
I see myself plenty in combat...and when I am not in combat, just hanging out, I turn hide off. Since you can already turn off hide, I honestly can't see the Devs incorporating any time and money in to this. Seems to be a waste for them to implement something you already have complete control of. EggKookoo
You don't have complete control over it. You can't see yourself while using Hide.
Nezix
OMG yes. Please please give us this option.
EggKookoo
If the UI is an obstacle, it could just be a slash command. Like /hide_opacity 0 to turn off opacity (and use 1 to turn it back on).
Legree
No objection to this, though I'd never use it. I need that visual reminder that I'm actually Hidden. The first time I ran a new Stalker through Atlas Park I forgot for three levels that I wasn't on a Scrapper. Not to mention running up to the Boss to get into the perfect position to strike... only Hide hasn't actually kicked in after I finished off the last group and I don't realise that until they aggro. We've all done that, right?
EggKookoo
Right, ideally it would be great to have a completely different Hide indicator. Like biostem suggest, some kind of hovering icon. Or maybe a special indicator beneath your feet. Or even some level of transparency but just not so strong. But all of those sound like varying levels of work. Or course it's possible Hide's opacity is somehow baked in (and given some things I've heard about CoH's code, that wouldn't shock me). In which case it's all a lot of work and therefore pretty unlikely.
Nezix
I would be happy with having the Hidden text under my bars. The opacity is such a disappointment - why not just limit it to PVP
Williwaw
It'd be nice to have less transparency, like what you get with Steamy Mist or the old Panther Stealth power, rather than being completely invisible. Just because the character is completely invisible to other characters doesn't mean they should be completely invisible to players.

Just because the character is completely invisible to other characters doesn't mean they should be completely invisible to players. Just one caveat .... I'm not a PvPer myself, but in PvP? Stalkers really do need to rely on being actually invisible to other players, at least mostly, and at least some of the time. So in PvP zones, I think the current graphics would have to remain the same. Global Handle: @PaxArcana ... Home servers on Live: Freedom & Virtue ... So in PvP zones, I think the current graphics would have to remain the same. Just to be clear, I'm not asking for any change to the Hide mechanic. At the very least, you would need to be invisible to hostiles just as you are now (PvE and PvP). I'm asking for the option to make a Stalker visible to its own player when Hide is active. Secondarily, it would be nice to make your Stalker visible to other friendly players, and even to friendly NPCs (thinking mostly of escort missions here). That last borders on a mechanical change but IMHO it's how the power should have worked from the start.
