For players to see minimum effects from these types of powers Don't think it's possible. Since they're not *your* powers. Closest I think *would* be possible is an "auto-delete incoming buffs." Basically the same as right clicking and disabling them. About the only thing I can think of is modding the game to remove the graphics from *your* client. (Have it in COHModder or some such.) And no, "Changing to little fire orbs minimal" is not "a must." It's *your preference.* Edited September 28 by Greycat (typo) Kheldian Lore and Backstory Guide 2.0: HC edition Out to EAT : A look at Epic ATs - what is, could have been, and never was Want 20 merits? I know; there are lots of people that just accept the default configuration for power customization. For myself, I always go in and tweak the colors for Ice and Cold to look more frigid (and somewhat more transparent in the process), just like I customize the powers for any character with a Radiation powerset to remove the utterly-wrong green color (which became the popularly-believed color of radiation because of its association with the color of the phosphor in radium-paint illuminated dials), replacing it with the proper blue color of Cherenkov glow. Similarly, I'll often adjust the colors for fire effects, using the black-body color distribution to shift the effects toward the blue end of the spectrum to represent hotter flames (I also joke about how, in Star Wars, you can see that the Imperial laser blasts are more powerful than the Rebellion laser blasts, because the Imperial blasts are green, while the Rebel ones are red). 1

Tangent, and I apologize for it, but are you sure? I remember the Imperials firing red shots. And checking A New Hope, both the stormtroopers and the ship defenders were firing red bolts. Edit: I forgot the fighters have the rebel fighters firing red and the Imperial fighters firing green. Sorry. Edited September 28 by Rudra

The star destroyers and TIE fighters were firing green blasts, the Rebel ships red blasts. The hand weapons are a different category; I think that it's "Legends" now, but there was a lore explanation that there were different grades of tibanna gas for blasters, and you got different bolt colors from different grades of gas, and the Empire didn't want to pay for all of its troops to fire the more expensive ammo when they were all expendable anyway.

That is still canon. That's why the Mandalorian blasters in the CG series are yellow. (Edit: Rather, it wasn't strictly different grades of tibanna gas, though that was part of it, but also different gasses that could be used to power the weapons' bolts. I believe with Mandalorian weapons using the rarest, and most effective/efficient, gas available.) Edited September 28 by Rudra

I would like to be able to force those buffs into Minimal Fx mode (or complete invisibility) on my character. I would very much like an option to disable all buff VFX cast upon my characters. Power customization was a lovely and wonderful addition, but it does have its drawbacks in that you can become completely buried under layer upon layer upon layer upon layer of VFX and colors to the point where it becomes difficult to see what is going on in a team setting. Ice shields in specific are one of the more awful and annoying examples because even toggling VFX off does not remove them as it does with other VFX. P.S. Handy VFX toggle macro for those who might need it /macro_image "DayJob_AoEBlind" "Toggle VFX" "++noparticles"
