Incarnate Shards and Threads

I suggest there be something new to use them on, I've collected literally thousands of them and ran out of things to create with them. 

 

What's something we can use them on when you have an overabundance of them?

Not what you are looking for, I know, but you can convert shards to threads and use threads to buy super inspirations. If you don't want those, you can sell them on the AH for more inf' for your alts or to buy other things like temp powers and pets.

I mean, super inspirations are great and all, but when you have literally thousands of shards and threads, it doesn't really solve the problem.

 

Heck, I'll take a "You win Incarnates!" Badge that costs like 3,000 threads as a true way to dump them.

Reward Merits aren't going to happen.  You used to be able to convert Emps to reward merits and that got taken away.

Was there ever a reason given as to why? Aside from Super Inspirations, is there anything else that threads/shards can be used on that I'm missing?

Super Inspirations can be converted to cold hard cash so pretty misleading to act like those are worthless.

Yes, short version: People were farming their 50s for the vet emp merits and converting to reward merits at a pretty high rate via farms.

long version: search the old threads when it happened.
