Just for the sake of organization, readability, and having mercy on those who suffer OCD, I'd love to see it possible to move enhancements around within the powers they are bound to.

+1

I don't know how feasible this would actually be given the drag and drop nature of the enhancement screen, but I have been known to wince at a misaligned enhancement so I'd welcome this.

Unslotters?

There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

It isnt purely visual.

When exemplared or on an ORO mission the order of the enhancers matters.

Something to keep in mind when respecing.

If that’s true, that would be a deal breaker...what’s the source on that Zep?  And be careful...I’m still watching you and waiting for your Fake Nemesis plot to be exposed :)

The functionality of Exemplaring can not take into account when you slotted powers, nor can we dictate which Enhancements to keep if we were to reduce the number of slots you have.

Because of this, we have implemented a system with Exemplaring that reduces the overall effectiveness of your Enhancements based on the level you Exemplared to. This is meant to loosely simulate the fact that you would have fewer Enhancements at any given level.

In addition, this reduction in power does not take into account the "power jumps" that occur for regular players when they hit 12 to 15 and 22 to 25 (as they move from TO to DO to SO Enhancements). Instead it is a smooth curve across the levels. This was done on purpose so that there wasn't "ideal Exemplar-to Levels". For example we didn't want people saying "Exemplaring to 22 is WAY better than exemplaring to 21!" Which would have been the case had we not put in the smooth curve.

Is it an exact science? No, and it was never meant to be. Exemplaring was an extension of the Sidekicking system (which does not increase Enhancement strengths by the way). We realized we would need to reduce Enhancements or else Exemplared characters would simply outshine their Aspirants because they would be better slotted.

So does that settle it? There's no mechanics in place that this would hurt?

That just leaves technical limitations, I'm not sure how accessible the code for this game is, and I know there's higher priority things to worry about.

It seems like it would be a simple change, but I don't have the source so I can't say.

I suspect it would actually be pretty difficult. There's no prior precedent for limiting the movement of an enhancement or swapping two enhancements. The hackiest way I could see doing it is treating it as a respec of only one power at a time, with its own enhancement tray, and no idea if that's even possible.

If they can get to it, it'd be nice, but I'd not hold my breath.

What? The game doesn't record what level you assign slots at -- had that data been available, it would have been reflected in the Sentinel+ extractor that archived characters out of Live before the shutdown. From looking at combat attribute data on live, if you had a power you picked at level 4 that you assigned slots to at level 50, it had those slots even if you exemped down to 4.

Zumberge pulled a Positron quote from live on how exemplaring and Oro works, it doesn't look at specific enhancements at all...it just their effectiveness in relation to the level...

If that was never changed then I guess it doesn't really matter.
