Bung, my main Darkness/Stone Dom, lives on the head of the statue next to Maria Jenkins. That is where she logs out, does her market stuff, and sleeps. Once someone was trespassing when I logged in and they were AFK. So I read their fortune and summoned all my pets and they fell off my balcony.

Oh we're talking where our characters actually live in-game.

Obus Erectus, my main, lives on DJ Zero's speaker in Pocket D.  I Foot Stomp to indicate dominance over my territory.

With it as easy as it is, we should just give everyone a Click power to instantly win a map and grant a level up.

    Slippery slide arguments are fun!

The next thing would be to nerf COH Homecoming into Windows 94 Minesweeper because the game is generally, too much fun.

I need a sense of progression and fulfillment.

As i understand it that's a technical limitation. The build swap isn't capable of remembering active cooldowns or of differentiating between one power or category of powers and another, it can only set everything to recharged or on cooldown for the full duration.

Back when there was a 15 minute cooldown on swapping builds and you had to do it at a trainer having everything recharged made sense, but once it was made available via slash command and the cooldown removed, having it recharge everything would be too abusable for free recharges of long cooldown powers. Old school perma elude, just /selectbuild every three minutes. Thus it puts everything on cooldown.

This was my understanding as well when /change build was added to the game.

I play stupid games for the intent to give it away like a come find me game. I make it easy and not hide so they can just friend me and find me. I'll broadcast asking someone to guess the number I'm thinking of and then I just give inf to the first 2 or 3 people that simply say a number. I've given away a lot of purple drops, too. I'll buy an ATO, give it to someone and tell them something like, "I found this in the back of the AH. Don't tell anyone." It's fun seeing the reactions. At the end of the day, I made back more than I gave away.

That's a nice way to do it 😃

    1) Sell everything you find of any value.

    2) Sell rare salvage when found for a nice little burst of inf.

    3) Only my first toon struggled on HC. Since then every toon starts getting tricked out early by my collection of attuned sets Ive built up.

    4) And boom, your now free to play the game and not spend time crafting, sorting, and can just have fun.

    1) No wonder nobody buys my body anymore ...... 😢😔

    2) Have at thee sir!  Here comes judgement from elitism!!  500-600k inf is a burst of soggy ramen noodles by level 50 fire farm standards.  By e-bill standards, 500 million+ inf collected from AH is a nice burst of inf.

    3) Should you need hand me downs, just ask the UFC Charity For Chastity sub comittee. The UFC hosts Charity for Chastity events collecting hand-me-down IOs collected from the top 1% of the Ultra-Elite CoX players.  Community at its finest!

    4) You know what's fun?  Clicking "Collect" from /AH and seeing the top of my inf hit the 2 billion cap by accident.  Hitting the tip *shiveeeeer* feels soooooooo good.  Yessssssss.....

So, I just started playing yesterday I just picked a server and jumped in. I think I’m on blue side of everlasting. After playing a few hours I noticed that atlas park is pretty empty and no One is grouping or teaming sub level 30. At lease that’s what I got from the chat. I asked about super groups and tried to talk to the few I saw running by. No one really payed any attention or responded. I’m looking for a good community and trying to make some friend to level/play with. Dose it get better at higher levels? Should I switch servers? I’m located in Germany, but only speak English so the EU server didn’t look promising. Any suggestions? Or is the game kind of dieing out again?

    Answering your Questions

Dose it get better at higher levels?

Yes it gets much better.  High level content such as Incarnate trials, Peregrine Island missions, even AE farms are constantly being run.  As are whatever weekly TFs that give you additional merits.  Everyone's running these

Level 1 - 15: Everyone is doing Death From Below (DFB)

Level 15 - 20+: Everyone is doing Drowning In Blood (DIB)

Level 25+: Go to /LFG channel and either Start a TF yourself or join one already forming.  Asking "Level 33 blaster LFG" will never get you any groups

Level 50: Go to /LFG channel and join PI missions, Maria Jenkins Arc, or high level TF

Level 50+: Go to /LFG channel and join Incarnate Trials.  These trials gather in Ouroboros

All levels: Start the TF of the week yourself, or join one already forming.  Asking "Level 50 Brute LF weekly TF" will never get you any groups

    Should I switch servers?

The highest population sever is Excelsior, blue side.   Red side is only 30% of the players.  You can switch between Blue <--> Red instantly via Null the Gull (change alignment) in Pocket D.

Excelsior playerbase focuses on PVE.  Other servers (I forget their names) focus on RP or PVP

I’m located in Germany, but only speak English so the EU server didn’t look promising. Any suggestions?

It might lag since you are across the globe.  I don't have experience so it may or may not be true.  IIRC the EU servers are not located in EU, but are called "EU" so that everyone playing plays at the same time zone.  Excelsior server runs on the Eastern Standard Time schedule.   Most people play after working hours and on weekends.

    Reunion is hosted in Germany.

Or is the game kind of dieing out again?

Go to Excelsior server and see the 99999 people in Atlas Park, Ouroboros, or Pocket D before raids.

I am @Obus Form on excelsior server.

    Happy hunting 😃

I can't believe it's taken me so long to see the value of Amplifiers from P2W at all levels.  It's a good inf sink that doesn't just move value from liquidity to non-liquid assets (like packs, which tend to actually increase total FMV of your in-game portfolio).

Bonus - I can actually make builds with a "free" 5% def and 7% resist and arguably never take Clarion again (my standard for squishes).

    That's a good mention.  Ty.

Indeed, once I discovered that 5% def, I started going to 40% on some brutes and dirtily bought my way to softcap.

    Edit:

I think you can also buy up to Mag 3 (or was it mag 4?) mezz protection.  @Hedgefund forgot though, can you stack these buff to 6 hours, or just 1 hour?

Your situation sounds similar to mine. I'm also a main-aholic with wealth (not too crazy, but maybe 3 billion spread over a few toons).

It that's something you like to do, take on puzzles to solve, you might try the route I took in creating new Alts, but not for the purpose of Alt-itis, but the challenge of creating the best build possible

Below is a detailed infographic of the spectrum of COH players:

    MinMax-itis <-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> Alt-itis

You have MinMax-itis.  This condition appears in about 20% of all CoX players.  Worry not kind sir @Bopper, in my PhD MD MBA JD PEng and 19 lunch-time-certificate expert opinion, tis but a natural by-product of Big Brain Power (BBP) and Life-Winning-Itis.   Both of these secondary conditions attract mates of your desire.

I spent about 200 hours into Mid's to min/max Defender Kin/Sonic -res +buff builds, only to 50/IO it, then shelve it after not seeing damage numbers.  Can you suggest a MinMax Controller build and a reason to actually play controllers?

In the old days, we had to worry about emails (and attachments) being purged after some length of time.  Do we not have that concern now?

My understanding is emails never expire now.

<goes to pull inf emails onto unused toons til we get a definite answer>

yeah, i could make more, but since i don't really need inf anymore except to give away I'm not about to actively seek it ('actively' being in this case afk farming while i do other things).

edit: went to do ^^^ and i have an inf email from 1/18. so if there is still a purge it's no longer the 60 days mentioned on paragonwiki. wiki also says there was a countdown system patched in to the original no warning purge. Guessing no countdown + email over 60 days = no purging on HC, but would still like to know officially.

The purge doesn't occur for emails, only for /AH auctions.  But then by issue 12, /AH no longer steals your unclaimed auctions as long as your character has logged in within 60 days.

IIRC, emails never expire unless sent to an account that no longer exists (essentially, the email is sent into oblivion).

The bigger question, as someone with serious alt-itis, is how do you guys make so much money? Like, 1 billion per week? Are you making it by like fire farming or are you playing the AH and stepping on a bunch of little guys to keep the prices up and your profits large or... selling yourself in pocket d?

    Before money question:

Before answering the money question, at least for me and if you allow a personal sharing, I'm a mainoholic power-gaming efficiency-only player.  I'm like this in real life (international piano performance, pharmaceutical industry, etc).  I want freedom, so I need Power.  In this game Power = Game Mechanics + Effective build + Influence + Actual Game Play (accolades, raid knowledge to lead, some charisma, etc) + a Great Guild.  Gaining in-game influence was a necessary by-product of that desire.

    Money question:

AFK farming sometimes, /AH flipping rarely, /AH converting always.  It's 2.5 hours a night clicking "CONVERT CONVERT CONVERT!!!!" than actual gaming --> Sheer boredom --> Sometimes I fall asleep on my chair.  If I could pay someone in-game influence to click for me, I would lol.

    Money question (real answer):

DJ Zero pays top dollar for my body.  I'm going to need surgery....again
