At a certain point, and I think many of us hit this point a long time ago, we find ourselves in a “post-needs” society.  There’s nothing I can spend inf on anymore.  So it just becomes a habit of frugality, or a personal challenge to get from point A to point B in as efficient or elegant a way as possible.  Sure I could buy something NOW for 25mm, but I’d much rather buy something similar overnight at 17mm and spend 1-4mm making it into the thing I wanted all along.  It’s a disease...

Yeah, I agree on frugality for IOs.

Crafting, I'm still at need now prices (btw, rare salvage down to 425k, and uncommon down to 12.5k).

To re-ignite /AH fever, I made a goal to fund the weekly guild event with 1 billion inf prize money minimum.  Am currently 1/2 way there ish.... it's a lot of human hours spent clicking "CONVERT CONVERT CONVERT!!!" to hit 1 billion profit/week instead of actually enjoying the game itself.

I’m going to be honest. Most of the time I solo, especially on a scrapper. I’d love to be able to do it all (jack of all trades type) who can solo AVs or do higher end group content. If I had to choose, I would go with the group content, though.

That said, what other options might you suggest? (I am keeping Spines/DA open, because it sounds cool.)

Here's the DM/DA with combat jumping, a bit more optimized than before.

    Other players.

Help other players out. It often costs much less than say a purple enhancement and returns more value.

Perhaps this is the good path to walk.

I do it occasionally, but maybe a regular thing or funding contests could return tons more value to others

These days I give away more influence than I spend, but only when it amuses me. Other than that, my influence sits in email until I get around to powerleveling another character.

Indeed that's what's happening these days for me.  Perhaps I lack fulfillment

  5. I don't think there is one in game.

But if you want to see real-life time in game, you can set the Chat to display time stamps.  Therefore, when anyone types in any chat (general, help, LFG, SG, Coalition, League, Team, etc) it will show a time stamp at the left.

  6. Electric Armor easily caps energy damage resistance (iTrials) but lacking any +def (even 3% from /Dark Armour) makes it that much harder to softcap S/L defense.  With your experience tanking, you may already realize it's not necessary to softcap 45% S/L, therefore, 40% is likely acceptable.

    If it is....

TW/Electric Armor will work nicely because of EA's increased recharge and click-Endurance gain.

Spines/Electric Armor will allow for passive-aggressive damage auras + general AOE damage.

Radiation Melee/Electric Armor will work nicely for AOE damage (set and forget) aggro tanking/farming methods

Lastly, if you want bigger numbers and enjoy living at the edge of your seat, do the same builds, but Scrapper.

  8. How do you spend your wealth?

    - Sit in email

    - Maximized into your assets in the market via 200 slots/toon x 30 toons per server

    - Donate to your SG

    - Fund all your alts

On what/how do you spend your influence?

And if the Devs could/would add, what items/costumes/powers would you suggest as influence sinks/displays of wealth?

As a Mainoholic/min-maxer, I ask because boredom is settling in after 10 months of wealth accumulation without new shinies.

Looking at it now. I don't see my name. 😞 I joined yesterday and the list was posted today.

    I'm in the same boat.

My best guess is that either the large server load + snap shot makes the snapshot about a day old, or the top 20 are running several computers and outputting more than the rest of us plebian 1computer peons.

Willpower won't tempt you to interrupt your momentum-enhanced attack chain, and has two good candidates for skippable powers: Resurgence and Strength of Will, which will make it easier to take more Titan Weapon attacks.

Either way, have fun! The sound that Arc of Destruction makes when it hits a whole crowd is like a truckload of washing machines dumped on a concrete slab.

    This.

/WP passive play = concentrate on momentum and positioning to stay alive and max damage

Also the delayed sound and knock of whirlwind is anime-like awesome.  Hit so hard/fast that there's a delayed reaction from enemies

I know that it s garbage again pretty much any thing with high psi resist, which is like all the AVs and 50% of end game content.  But has anyone tried to build a high end verison loaded with procs?  If so how did it perform?

    Terribly.

The animations aren't crisp or fast as Claws/ or Dark Melee/.

Separately, my personal understanding going procs is, while nice, doesn't make sense by rolling brute.  Similar to the difference in ease to reach softcap between corrupters and defenders, since defenders can reach soft cap easily, the easier soft cap but lower damage of defenders requires procs for defenders to deal reasonable damage.  The corrupter, while higher base damage, has a harder time reaching soft cap so you can't really slot for procs.

Thus, if aiming for proc build, go all out procs and go tank instead of brute so that you can reach soft cap easier than a brute.  Perhaps the exception to this is if you rolled a defense-based armor set like /SR or /Energy Aura...  But due to bad animations and big resistance to psychic damage by AVs I suggest not psychic melee at all.

Summary: if you want melee proc builds, optimized is Tanker (to reach soft cap easier, therefore reach insane global recharge easier not using Agility alpha, and because proc don't scale to AT damage), and Claws or Dark Melee or animations times less than 1.3 seconds with long recharge times to increase proc chance.

I have a Dark/Dark Brute that is stupid Insane powerful.  It is practically a farmer.  Although instead of one damage type/farm it can jump into +4/x8 of anything.  This has to do with the insane recharge and using all the PBAoE buffs/heals/end recovery as a freaking attack chain.  With the side ...mmm benefit, yes, of having ENDLESS buffs, health, stamina  The thing is a buzzsaw, basically doing its own melee version of a constant rotating fulcrum shift.  Enemies get -tohit debuff, tons of damage, feared, confused, Character gets +Dam, +toHit, +Health, +Endurance and it rolls constant, including having a damage aura.

For once, we agree on something haha 😀

  13. As a potential inf sink, we the UFC humbly request the Gods of COH for vanity auras/costume parts/glowy names costing upwards of 500 million inf+.  Below are some humble suggestions.  What say of the community?

-glowy rainbow 🌈 name for 2 billion

-giant dollar bill cape for 500 million

-big chicken wings for 1 billion

-throwing money into the air emote for 2 billion

    -pimp cane for 1 billion

Too few wings, I think it's missing.
I can give you a few names to give you an idea:
The vulture, the wasp, the fly and even the banshee the x-man.
These are just examples but we lack diversity I think.

    Give me chicken wings 🐔🍗
