The real solution would be to not activate ToT at all. They already removed the decorated windows and the eternal night, I'm guessing the event is big hassle that the HC team might not even enjoy.

So players have to quit if they have to use the bathroom? I'd pay good money to see the fallout from that.

I think Dark Astoria is considered a hazard zone, which is why ToT isn't enabled there.

I think the motel in Kallsti should be left alone because that area has its own challenges for characters below level 50. 🙂

Lycan Subscribe would make a great character name.

It's the one building that is the root of the issue. Changing door timers would affect the entire event, whereas replacing the motel with a building that has four doors would have a more powerful impact. The essence of Trick or Treating is to go from door to door, not camp in one spot. So my solution is to remove the one camping spot and make players use their movement keys for a change.

I thought of a solution. Either deactivate the doors on the motel, or replace it with another building. ToT was never intended to be a camping activity.

Don't worry about the Anti-AI crowd, not even a little bit. All they do is make comments but otherwise they do nothing. They have no organization, no lobbyists, no funding, no plan, and no clue. They'll make comments about AI wasting water, while eating rice and beef. The Anti-AI crowd are disruptors. They ONLY exist to disrupt while contributing nothing to society. On Reddit they are a dime a dozen. Ignore the disruptors. No one is going to hold their hands and shut down AI for them.

I was probably the AFK one. I'm glad your approach works for you. I only speak to other characters if they speak to my character first. I learned the hard way that "Walk-up friendly" isn't.

I don't think the HC team needs to provide a babysitting service to a farm. It's already established that the optimal TEAM, not LEAGUE, size is around 6-8. HOWEVER instead of leveraging the HUNDREDS of other AVAILABLE doors to knock on, these same players would rather camp at the motel and complain about the Masterminds that they could EASILY avoid by taking a little initiative. Back on Live, no one had problems running ToT on teams.

Call them out in public. They don't want players farming AND they don't want players running level 50 content so they can make INF to slot their toon. That is gatekeeping. Call it out.

I stopped going to the clubs because, in July, many songs on YouTube had their permissions changed and became restricted in Canada. So the DJ have sets which, for me, have a lot of dead air. I tried talking to one of them and got a negative response, so message received, clubs are no longer friendly to Canadians. However, if music isn't an issue, then clubs can be a decent way to meet people. Just don't be surprised when they RP a dating sim.

Maybe the server crashes ARE the solution? No one can leech XP when the shards are down.

A lot of RP evaporates in October because so many players are farming Trick or Treat.

When the clubs open, of course.

If we're talking about laziness... Being in a League does not improve spawns for your specific team. You can form a team of 6-8 and knock on ANY valid door. If you can't vet a team of 6-8 stop farming and go run missions.

@Cipher I've been logged in for hours, and I did some casual monster hunting. I didn't encounter any lag spikes or anything like that. It's been rather smooth.

People are complaining about sitters in a FARM. 😄 The solution... Stop farming and run some missions.

If they move again, I'll notice. Still cool to see them not close to the portal.
