Haa anyone tested Power Transfer:Chance for heal in Torrodial? Does it proc decently?
-
I have a Demon/EA, and it is STURDY. Get the MM uniques to bump up your pets' resists/defenses/regen. If needed, use Hell On Earth to slot some of them. It's a fun and very potent combo. Hang in there, and it will get better, trust me.

It's possible to have soft capped defenses, but you'll have to work for it. Here's one that I built in Mids. I have a StJ/Shield scrapper that is fun, and I've been thinking about making a StJ Tank. Stone Armor checks off a lot of the "wishes" for a Tank Primary.... ability to soft cap S/L/F/C/E/NE/Psi, decent resists, damage aura, respectable Regen, a nice heal, DDR, and a few other Debuff Resistances. Here's what I've thrown together. Please note, since Mids was updated a while back, the SMotT Proc (+6.7% to resistances) is NOT showing up in your values. So, your Resistances will look like this with 1 stack of SMotT: S/L 68.07 F/C 95.22 E/NE 53.58 Toxic 83.09 Psi 25.7 HOWEVER, let me point out that your Defenses look like: S/L 52.04 F/C 46.67 E/NE 47.14 Toxic 21.04 Psi 50.03 Melee 33.54 Ranged 21.04 AoE 35.1 Your Regen rate is 69.3 HP/Sec. Like I said, I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on a StJ Tank. I'm leaning towards Stone, but time will tell. I hope this gives you some help/inspiration. -x Tanker (Stone Armor - Street Justice).mbd

Ahhhh. See, I didn't know what the henchmen's HP cap was. Thanks for clarifying that. -
Focused Feedback: Marine Affinity

Back again....sorry. So I finally got around to putting some IOs in my Necro/Marine MM on Test. The values I'm seeing are pretty impressive. Then I started thinking.....what if I was on a team that had just 3 /Marine Affinity MMs on it, and their slotting was barely remotely similar to mine? What would that look like? em/DominateEverything em/GameBreaker Lemme explain. I realize that if a team of 3 MMs that all had the same Secondary Powerset, and had roughly similar slotting, it would be a sight to behold. I get that. HOWEVER, with /Marine Affinity, here's roughly what these powers would do for the pets (and the MM him/herself). Tidal Forces + 54% to damage Toroidal Bubble Roughly +84% Smashing/Fire Resistance Roughly 42% Resistance to everything else Power of the Depths Roughly +1200 Max HP (INSANE for pets!) Roughly +1,100% to Regeneration Brine -67.5% Resistance to enemy -1200 Max HP to enemy (and if you were running Degenerative as your Interface....holy cow) Wellspring Roughly 300 Absorption points So...if 3 /Marine Affinity MMs had their pets out, then they all cast their powers, you're talking that your Henchmen would have an additional 1200 Max HP, with a 300 HP "absorb shield". They would be at the Resist cap for henchmen (if they had all the MM IOs for +Resistance). With Supremacy and running Assault, the pets would have a +90% Bonus to Damage. ( Granted....I actually can't remember the last time I was on a team that had 3 MMs that all had the same secondary powerset.) I list all that to say/ask this..... Is there a cap for Pet HP/Max HP? Damage? If so, what are said caps? I can see the Max HP cap for the actual MM (and any of the ATs in our beloved game using Mids). I can only imagine a group getting together, say a team of 3 or 4 /Marine Affinity MMs with a couple MA Defenders/Corrs....and totally annihilating everything. The potential of stacking so much Max HP,Absorb, and Regen is ridiculous. Of Course, my Willpower tank is looking forward to teaming with some Marine Affinity toons 😎 Actually, ALL of my Tanks are looking forward to teaming with Marine Affinity toons. So, IS there a cap for Henchmen for HP/Max HP? -

Another find.... When looking at your Pets' Attributes, under Defense it is showing "Barrier Reef" as giving the pets a Defense Bonus. This is actually coming from Wellspring. Either the Power "Wellspring" needs to be changed to "Barrier Reef", or in the attributes window Barrier Reef needs to be changed to show Wellspring is actually giving the bonus. Personally, I think "Barrier Reef" sounds so much cooler....so change the name Wellspring to Barrier Reef. 😎 -

Tide Pool says it's a Toggle, but when you read the description, it's a "Click" "Location" that lasts for 4 minutes 5 seconds. The "Toggle" needs to be changed to "Click". Also, it states that Tide Pool does +Team Damage, Foe -Damage, -Speed, and -Jump. Can the values of the Foe -Damage, -Speed, and -Jump be listed? All it shows is +18% strength to all damage (Mastermind value). Thanks. -x -
I've got a Sonic/Storm Blast Defender and I took Ice Mastery. I have Frozen Armor, Hoarfrost ,Build Up, and Ice Elemental. I cast it, then apply my shields and Disruption Field on it. It will usually end up in melee range, so the Disruption Field works perfectly. It supplements my damage pretty well. Its attacks slow the enemy a bit (of course, Storm Blast also slows....so anyway). In Mids, with the slotting I have, it shows the following: Ice Swing 149 cold damage Freezing Touch 296 cold damage Ice Bolt 141 cold damage I have 4 pieces of Soulbound in mine, and it is not perma. I'm not sure if you could get it perma or close to perma. Mine's off by 57 seconds. Base recharge is 900 seconds, with a duration of 240 seconds. For me, being Sonic, it helps because I can cast Disruption Field on it. The added damage is nice as well. For now, I'm keeping it.

SURF N TURF!!!

Bio/Kinetic could stack a lot of -damage in a hurry. Just not sure if -damage debuff would be helpful. Especially as how teams practically steamroll everything so fast.
-
For example, Ice Armor slows. Spines also slows. Bio Armor lowers enemy damage output, and Kinetic Melee also lowered enemy damage output. Is it worth combining these power sets? In my mind, if you rolled an Ice Armor/Spines Melee tank, and jumped in the middle of a mob, they would practically stand still and their attacks would take quite a while to recharge...thus increasing your durability. Plus it would be funny. Thoughts on pairing powers that do similar secondary effects? Thanks -x

Unsure if this has been noted, but the +Resistance to All ( 6.7%) from the SMotT is not showing up in Mids. -x

I have a StJ/Shield Scrapper. Can have soft capped M/R/AoE Defenses. Gotta watch how/where you slot the Scrapper ATOs, to try and get the biggest bang for your buck with the Crits. I think one reason why I like to play it I really like the StJ animations. And of course, Crits aren't shabby either. It's been a really fun toon to play.

Played around in Mids, and I think I've settled on an Electric/DB Tank. Some of the reasons being: 1) I love tanks 2) Haven't really done an Electric tank. All Electric powers will be colored pure white. 3) Lightning Field damages and drains end... my thought would be the enemies are in awe of the Archangel and being in his presence slowly makes the enemy not want to fight (not being able to fight due to losing end) 4) Gonna slot a Power Transfer: Chance to Heal in Lightning Field...Archangels would be able to heal themselves, right? 😃 5) I know a lot of people complain/don't like the DB system, but I could continually keep Weaken on the foes. Again, being in the presence of an Archangel would weaken the enemy. 6) One blade will be the Greater Ice Sword and the other the Greater Fire Sword. Ice being solid white and fire being red. The GIS looks really cool. 7) Naturally, will take the Soul Mastery Epic Pool for Gloom (colored red so it will look like fire) and for Darkest Night. That huge To Hit Debuff and Damage debuff screams awesomeness, and again reiterates that being in the presence of an Archangel weakens you. All combined, I think this toon concept will be what I'm looking for. As a tank, I can take a ton of damage and not worry, Energize and healing procs will help keep Health up, and the debuffs will contribute to the team while fulfilling my concept. I believe once I get him maxed out, I may have to make another, but as a Sent. Don't think I want another Scrapper....I love my StJ/Shield scrap too much to roll a different one 😃 Thanks for all the ideas Guys and Gals! -x
-
Didn't even think about a Sent.... Fire Blast/Energy Aura...or like you said Sonic Blast/x. Hmm....

Hey all. So, I'm wanting to roll somewhat of an archangel. You know, a mighty warrior sent by God to cleanse the world/fight evil and all that. I think that such an archangel would not only be able to dish out Judgement and punishment, but would be beneficial to those around him ( whether by weakening enemies by lowering enemy def/resist/to hit/damage/etc or by healing with Rad Therapy, increasing team defense/etc). The "easiest", or one of the first things that came to mind is Shield and Broadsword. I think of a Crusader/Holy Knight. Other powersets could potentially be: --Rad Armor ("radiant" aura, plus sorta helps any teammates with healing, and weakens enemies with Beta Decay) - Electric Armor...kind of a stretch, but the electricity could just be auras/armor crackling with their sheer power. -Dark Armor...colored either red or as bright as possible. Would be more controlling due to their power and cause Fear in the enemies -Shield...more of a crusader/holy knight as mentioned - Energy Armor maybe? For melee, it's either : -Broadsword -Fire Melee...swords of fire -War mace could work I believe -Possibly Battle Ax What's the experts' opinions on the powersets? Anything to add? What would you roll? And finally...what AT? Either Scrapper or Tank? What's your suggestions? thanks in advance!

Hey all. I'm one of those that thinks the more Defense you/Pets have, the better off you'll be. Having said that, given how BG Mode works, it kinda seems that you might be a little better off by getting as much Resistance as possible. Obviously, Defense would still be important so you/pets don't get hit. However, for when those hits do land, being able to split up the damage among 6 pets + yourself, then Resisting that damage seems like a plan to focus on. If that's the case, to me at least, it seems like Pain,EA,and Nature would be the best routes to go. Pain AoE and ST Heal +Resistance PBAoE +Regen EA +Resist Chain Heal Chain Absorb Nature Cone Heal PBAoE Absorb + Resist (with a small +Regen) AoE Heal Over Time Has anyone ever built an MM that focused on BG Mode and Resists/Heals? Or Defense still King?

If Pets are this bad, what is the point of Masterminds?
Xandyr replied to Caios's topic in Mastermind
What he means is that what you summon, be it Necromancy, Bots,Mercs,Beasts, etc are your HENCHMEN. The team that you're on....THEY are your pets. -
Dangit. Why did you have to give me a reason to make another Defender?! Curses! Maybe my next will be Thermal/DP... I ended up going Sonic/Storm. Looks like Storm has some -recharge, -speed, -to hit, and -end. Thinking it should be pretty decent.
-
Hey all. I'm really wanting to roll a Sonic Defender (because everyone focuses on building for Defense and not Resistance, plus the -Resistance it gives). I'm torn between what secondary to go with. Really thought about DP, Archery, or maybe Dark. And I have this thing where I never pair the same "type" for primary/Secondary (i.e. rad/rad, ele/ele,sonic/sonic). I haven't played Seismic, so I kinda thought maybe rolling that. Anyway, TL;DR.... What secondary has some synergy with Sonic, works well, teams would appreciate? Thanks

I've ran a Dark/MA tank. There's something to be said to have soft capped defenses and capped resists to all but Energy and Toxic. Fun build, and TOUGH.

About combination of Demon Summoning/Pain Domination
Xandyr replied to SoulGuardian55's topic in Mastermind
I've ran Demons, and I've ran Pain, just not together. It should be an extremely sturdy MM. Demons have good resists, and the Ember Demon also gives Ember Shield, along with an AoE Heal. Combined with World of Pain, they should be capped ( using the unique MM IOs). Backed by your Suppress Pain, and your heals, they should be very tanky. Another great synergy they have is the Demons lower Resistance, and your Anguishing Cry ALSO lowers Resistance and Defense. If you take Tough and Murky Cloud, most of your resistances should be capped as well. I say go for it! It should be one helluva good combo. Oh, be sure to slot the Panacea proc in Suppress Pain as it has a chance to trigger on ALL Allies/Pets when they are within the radius of it. -
Read between the lines.... it's a Nemesis plot. FREEEEEM!!!! And the "things I know and can talk about, others I can't " comment? That means they're looking at more ways to nerf regen.
-
I'm no expert, but here's a build I threw together. Gets you soft capped Defense to Melee/Ranged/AoE. Brute (Street Justice - Shield Defense).mbd

You have Rest turned on. Click on it to turn it off. Then you'll see your real #s (59.05% Resist to S/L, 33.68% to F/C/E/NE/Toxic, 0 to Psi).
