  1. Obviously from our pockets.
  2. It would be really nice if we could get the randomized projectile that Propel does.
  3. Hmm. It actually might be a good idea for buffing some of the weaker mitigation sets, especially the +defense sets.
  4. There is actually a really cool eyebeam animation that Praetorian Olympians can use, but it's a cone. It uses the Beam Weapons beam. I would love this to be an option for certain cone attacks.
  5. I'm not opposed to adding something new, but if you happen to be not particular about customizing your sidekick, one option in the meantime is to take a PPP and the accompanying pet power.
  6. I expect it would be a titanic undertaking, but it is not without precedent. The VEATs have a split primary pool, and you pick the second one after picking the first and both remain available. Nevertheless, the existence of a precedent really does not imply that such implementation would be practical for the HC team.
  7. One of the other thoughts that came to mind when I read this suggestion was that you could make them a Praetorian AT (because Praes lack an EAT), so combining the two ideas works pretty well. One thing about this: If the HC devs have issues with writing an EAT's story arcs, they could try recruiting the playerbase. Make a writing contest, have us create the respective missions in AE, and then winner gets them implemented in game, provided it meets quality standards. Normally I'm severely opposed to spec work, but in the case of a completely volunteer unpaid dev team I think this sort of thing is justified.
  8. So basically a PPP pet, but the entire PPP is just upgrades for a pet that is perma by default? ... is this a sneaky plot to get an NPC sidekick? It's a sneaky plot to get an NPC sidekick, isn't it.
  9. Everything in the title. I want Lore pets that are just clones of myself. This option would be useful for several types of characters: 1) Illusion Controllers and Dominators 2) Time-themed character calling alternate versions of themselves 3) Robot clones like Dr Doom/Thanos etc 4) Body doubles for any narcissistic villain 5) Multiple-man powers I am not fussed on powers and would be fine with anything that was competitive with the others. Alternatively, I would be perfectly satisfied if this was a customization option for the Phantoms Lore pet, as long as we can turn off the auras or transparency.
  10. It's just occurred to me actually... if the HC devs did decide to split the AT's primary into pets and attacks, this would actually make it easier to create new MM sets. You could proliferate existing ranged pools into MM attacks (take 2 single targets and one AOE). You would also alleviate having to come up with attack options on new MM pets, and perhaps even enable us to create lots of new MM pet pools out of existing enemy groups. Not that it wouldn't be an incredible headache to split MM primaries into two pools, but it would enable some interesting options!
  11. What's the goal here? Do you seek to specifically play a renegade member of the snakes or are you seeking an option for a scalie character? Because it feels like Maybe tying the AT to the Snakes lore might not be needed if you cannot figure out why they would go independent as PCs. But just in case you want to play a Snake-snake, we could try to revive the specific Greek myth that birthed Stheno. In myth, the three Gorgons are Stheno, Euryale and Medusa. In the COH-verse Stheno was a mortal woman who gained incarnate powers from the Well of the Furies... but what if she had two sisters who drank at the same time? Medusa was killed by Perseus, and in the game we kill (or possibly defeat) Stheno, but there's still Euryale. Why not a story arc introducing another Mother of snakes, with a storyline on their quest for vengeance against Perseus (or whoever holds his incarnate powers in the modern world), and a falling out between the two sisters on how they handle interacting with Heroes and Villains?
  12. Sounds good. You can then play as having the Wasp's or Ant Man's powers.
  13. How can we expect the mods to make constantly judgement calls on what constitutes negativity? That's a really manpower-intensive way to trim spam, and the mods have to sleep sometime. If you want to trim spam you could set a max number of posts daily to this forum. If you're concerned about people posting in every single topic every day then maybe a max number of posts per month. If you're worried about widespread spam, limit replies to one topic (but unlimited within that topic) a day.
  14. I'd like this especially if you can put it on a wall. I am extremely fond of the ouroboros (EDIT: I mean the symbol design). Whether or not you can use it to get to Ouro itself is secondary to me, but frankly it doesn't seem like it'd be problematic. I suppose it'd be nice on barren servers where there's no one around to open one for you. EDIT: Actually it would be nice to be able to use an Ouro portal as a cosmetic base teleporter option (to get to city zones). I'm not sure if it's been added yet, but a Cimm port would be nice too, though that is not very important since we can use the portal in Ouro itself to get there.
  15. Not only is it an option, both of the actual costumed supers using Demon Summoning (Desdemona and Infernal) are heroes, and the Demon Summoning set is inherently part of the original theme of Going Rogue where your abilities do not define your alignment. EDIT: Additionally, probably the most famous comic character with Radiation powers is Captain Atom. The thing is, especially in early comics, most villains didn't have superpowers at all, only of superheroes did, and many have "evil" superpowers. From the earliest days of the genre there was no attachment between powers and alignment.
  16. I like the idea to refund only in incarnate salvage. Let us be honest here, for newbies they could have messed up and gathering up a Very Rare isn't just a simple matter. If you accidentally create the wrong power or realize that the power you wanted isn't what you thought it was, you're sunk for a lot of time. I recall once wasting a Rare salvage myself because I crafted it in the wrong tree. A salvage refund has an inherent cost in terms of conversion that isn't that crippling. A VR conversion costs 150 threads. The point is that you can't just change your incarnates willy-nilly, enough at least that you have to commit to a semi-permanent build, but not punish overmuch if a mistake is made or a change is desired.
  17. Ugh the last thing I want is to be associated with Rudra. I've changed the color of my R.
  18. I'm posting just to say I really like this idea and want to add my vote for it. I am also very aware that it would be a technical nightmare to implement and unlikely to be feasible so I am tempering my hopes accordingly. But that doesn't mean I don't both hope for and want it. EDIT: Actually while I am in this thread, since this is about the MM attacks: Perhaps it would enable the creation of new MM weapon pools, such as, for instance, an Arachnos Mace blasting pool so we can have some kind of continuity with our PPP. It's really awkward looking to be swapping weapons even if now we have seamless weapon draw.
  19. I have no objection to a TT car customization, but I have to admit the real, actual reason I am making this suggestion is because I want to be able to turn into a car. I would accept a Halloween costume power buyable for prismatic aether that I can use Super Speed with.
  20. Here's my suggestion, including the mechanics: It's a toggled, unenhanceable Super Speed. It disables/suppresses all powers while in use, like the hoverboard/skiff. It also sets your jump height to zero, because a car cannot jump (but perhaps retain momentum jumping? Not sure how that works on mechanical end). You don a "disguise power" that is just a standard, normal (perhaps random) car you find in most city zones with opaque windows that you cannot see the inside of, because I understand that creating a driving pose/animation is going to be a titanic headache with the ancient engine so please don't bother. It's balanced because the lack of jump would make it conditionally more and less useful than Ninja Run. It might speed up the arrival time on long, flat journeys like getting to Thorn Island, but is that really so bad when we have team mission teleports? I want this for two reasons: 1) My Natural-Origin hero should be able to take an Uber. It's 2025 and my real-life self has a superpower that my character does not have. Alternatively, my Natural-Origin Villain should be able to steal one. 2) It would allow us to RP being like Turbo Teen who has the power to turn into a car. Devs, please consider. EDIT: Upon consideration I have realized I would be perfectly happy with a Halloween costume that is a car, as long as I can use Super Speed with it. Please let me be Turbo Teen, devs.
  21. Personally I like this idea better than the enhancement. Just a little inconsequential boost. Plus a badge title. IMHO any enhancement slots increase should be considered in the context of overall game philosophy/balance. I am an advocate of more slots just in general, but I also understand that not everyone wants to nudge the game difficulty balance.
  22. I would also love it if we could get Villain Stance 2 (StanceVillain2) as a flight pose, since it calls to mind the scene in X-Men 2 where Magneto escapes prison.
  23. I've long ago gotten tired of your constant sealioning, Rudra. Kindly stop responding to my comments.
  24. I have no particular opinion on a taunt aura for SR specifically, but personally I think SR really needs some kind of additional utility. Overdosing on +def is not particularly useful considering the options other defense sets have to achieve *practically* the same defense softcaps while keeping their additional mitigation options and utility tools. Even if not a taunt aura, perhaps a much higher +recharge buff (I mean really, EA gets the same buff with 4 enemies in range of Entropic Aura - 20%, and with 10 enemies it is twice as much at 40%), or endurance recovery, or something at least to make it stand out above the other sets. As it is, SR's only gimmick is that it can reach the defense cap easier, gets very high DDR, and has scaling resists which kick in only when you are seriously at risk of dying... but on a scrapper getting punched twice by a boss will still likely kill you when your resists cap at 75%. In exchange for these paltry advantages it has no self-heal, no end management, no base resist, no taunt aura, no stealth, no damage buff, and an extremely weak t9. I'm not even really counting the mez resist you have to click because some people actually like it that way (even if most do not). And the issue is that SR is an iconic set, a set that people who read comics would really love to have for concept reasons. Seriously, the problem is that just about every other set offers almost the same defense, which can be softcapped with some effort, plus other mitigation, utility or damage. In the very least, every other defense set besides shield has a self heal as a "Oh S**t!" button, and Shield at least is compensated for it by getting some of the best damage in the game, especially for a secondary.
  25. Scaling, not cap. A Brute has 75% the mitigation scaling of a tanker, which is the same as a scrapper. A power that gives 10% resist to a tanker will give only 7.5% resist to a brute.
