Today's Silver Mantis was really fun. I'm so glad I respecced my dark/dark sentinel. She is one of my oldest characters on Homecoming and I've never given her a really good build yet. I think she is comfortable as a bat/dragon so I'll keep this persona. She started out as Midnyte Wytch, which was my beloved warlock in WoW, which I was fresh from playing when this game came back. What do you think of the name Flying Battress? I thought it was a clever play on words, but maybe just for today. When I changed her to a bat, I named her Battress. Chatting with Rich recently, he told me he heard "mattress" in his head 😆, so I decided on Battrix instead. But I still like Battress, but maybe with an E? Battresse. Opinions, please! So glad we're doing an ITF together next week! I don't believe the theme team has ever done one together, or am I forgetting? Also, I wanted to point out that you put blue side but Cimerora is a co-op zone. I love the royalty theme! This will be fun. I don't yet know who I'm bringing, but sign me up for now as TBD. Silver Mantis SF - All Ranged Powersets - in dragon costumes! Saturday, April 15, 2023 Somehow it's always more fun when the theme has both requirements... powers/AT and costumes. 🥰 Cryomania, a sparkling diamond of a blaster by @FrauleinMental Marsh Madness, a green dragon blaster of loveliness by @TygerDarkstorm @TrixieKixx's powerful corruptor, Rhaegel Flying Battress, sentinel by @Midnyte. Is she a bat? Or a dragon? Chauliodus Abyssus, a sea dragon corruptor by @BurntUmber @Bananiac's controller dragon, Zapphire Ray I just love Cloak of Fear! It's like you scare the hell out of them without casting any power, they're just scared to be so close to you! Awesome sapphire-colored crystal containment Lots of Mad-Marshy water-splashing goodness We systematically took down enough of Duray's defenses that he finally revealed himself to us Flying Battress "took one for the team" by going inside to look for Duray (didn't find him in there anyway) He was lured into the ship where we could fight him on solid ground Success! ~The End~

Thanks for these tidbits. You are right that for #1 we should have been more patient and planned better to regroup all at once instead of like you said trickling in. Note to self for next time! For #2, that would be quite the maneuvering feat if we could combine jumping away from the blue patches while simultaneously trying to stay with our teammates! I basically just go back and forth between casting on attack and then skittering to the left or right and watching for blue, never mind what my teammates are doing lol. I'm going to try to be more aware of that for next time though. And yeah, those pet-produced multiplied blue patches were rough!

Apex/Tin Mage II TF - Mad Scientist theme - Any AT Saturday, 4/8/2023 We gathered today in Rikti War Zone to attempt a double whammy, endearingly known as TinPex. Apex initially assembled a team of control/pet types with relatively low damage. We should have informed him it would not go well. 😆 oof! Darkest Winter was on the scene, in a spiffy costume by @TrixieKixx. Complete with pulsating, glowing eyes and frosty breath. Love those boots! @TygerDarkstorm's creation, Dr. Elaina Wrath, a controller with a captivating story. Oui! A French mad scientist controller, Le Filou by @Bananiac @FrauleinMental's escaped robot, Project Isabelle, very cleverly created her own bots! @Burnt Umber's Animus Raptus demonstrates just how wrong things can go when science projects are rushed, especially when involving corpses! A Polish science geek with Dr. Aeon as a mentor, Dr. Buchinsky is a sentinel by @Midnyte (just don't ask the doctor about those Muntz alloy plates implanted in her face) The whole group, ready to take a shot at Apex's Task Force Two by two, patches of blue ... And so it goes... We knew when to re-group and start over, sans Ban, who had to leave for a little while Success! Tin Mage Mark II was not too happy that Umber had to leave, but allowed us to continue because Le Filou re-joined us, with @Jaxman100 as an added bonus as Tendo ~The End~

Wow, that's a lotta levels! Fun fun fun. 🙂 I was on a league fighting a GM but I guess the invasion ended before we defeated him. btw, I just realized I haven't signed up with a mad scientist yet. I will definitely be there, but still pending a character. I have 2 mad scientists but neither are 50 yet. So, I'm still figuring it out. 😄

I didn't have time to check for backstories last week, so if anyone wrote a theme-specific story about their fruit pie, please send it to me and I will edit your photo to include it. That actually holds true for every week. I am sure I've been missing some good stories lately.

Wow! Awesome! I went looking for it around 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time and I guess it was turned off by then. I had planned to log on several more characters for that toy bat. 😪

Positron 1 & 2 - Fruit Pie costumes - All Blasters! Saturday, 4/1/2023 Here we have Empanada Cereza, a newly rolled rad/plant blaster costumed as the cherry tart that she is! by @FrauleinMental @Burnt Umber's energy/martial arts blaster sparked a chat about what exactly a Brambleberry Pie might be, and it appears that ironically he also happens to be a π enthusiast! (I adore these back thorns) This glistening lime creation by @Bananiac is a beam rifle/atomic blaster, Sci-Fi Lime Pie. (Did we ever find out why his buff pet is named Disco Ball? 🙂) @Midnyte rolled a new blaster, water/ice, for this theme, and turned her into a luscious swirly Blueberry Cheesecake @TrixieKixx's new fire/plant blaster perfectly represented a spicy Cinnamon Apple pie @Tsoo Much's blaster is dark/atomic and the very personification of a Tsooberry Muffin. Love that berry head! As we each arrived at the statue in Steel Canyon, we were greeted with an unanticipated invasion! Valkyrie & Posi were hard at work fending off the mapserver anomalies, so of course we had to join in before beginning the task force. And then it was time for posing and receiving our orders from Posi A pie-fectly fun day was had by all! ~The End~

Tree of Thorns Respec #2 - Trepsarciel Costume theme - A favorite childhood toy Saturday, 3/25/2023 @FrauleinMental brought her toy blaster, Aluminium Patriot @TrixieKixx made a Barbie controller, Urban Fantasy @Burnt Umber made a Lego piece, Alichino, a wizard mastermind @Midnyte brought a brute, Kandy Kilowatt adorned in a Lite-Brite costume. Two actually! @drdread brought the dreaded Cabbage Patch Killer, warshade The old commercial jingle was stuck in my head all day... Barbie to the rescue when Lite-Brite went down! Next, we re-grouped to do Tree of Thorns Respec #3 - Ractespriel @TrixieKixx, love your action pose here! (I don't really know what I'm doing, nor do I want to know 😮 ) ~The End~

Aww, cute. I saw you're making Barbie. I loved my Barbies too. My sister and I had whole families using both the Barbies and the small Dawn dolls. They were the kids. LOL. There were also the Kelly dolls which I think were the teenagers! For this, I decided to do Lite Brite or Shrinky Dinks. So I am working on it. But the character du jour will be Kandy Kilowatt - Electric/Shield Brute. She hasn't done any of the respec trials yet, so whatever we do she'll stay for the duration.

Yes, exactly, which only makes it look more elegant. Okay, thanks for clarifying that. I'm in the costume creator now.... I want to take a look at those and see if I could be using them in some way.

Sparcetriel Respec Trial - Clown Costumes - Any AT Saturday, 3/18/2023 This was a fun and long-awaited theme. We'll have to do it again, or a variation of it, so that @TygerDarkstorm can have a makeup session, once she is gainfully employed in her new career! ☺️ I noticed that some of us went all-out jester, while others made more unique costumes. They all looked terrific! The sun was coming up in Nerva so the lighting was great for showing off all the colors. Clockwork Clown, a mastermind by @Bananiac. Really nice concept and color scheme. Dark Ambrosia, a controller by @TrixieKixx. I totally forgot about the clown face! Looks good. The always-classy & stylish Princess Grace, a controller by @FrauleinMental. Frau, this costume blew me away. I don't know if Grace Kelly would have worn that sexy corset in her day 😄 but I love your portrayal of her here. Oh, and I must mention how the collar and shoulders look together... fantastic! One question: what are those long white gloves? From this angle I can't identify them. They look great! Morning Frost, normally a beautiful and radiant kick-ass ice brute, donned a scary clown costume for this event. By @Midnyte. After seeing most of you in the jester collar, I can't believe I forgot about it! Those of you who used it really did a nice job. Alichino, a demonic mastermind by @Burnt Umber. Very nice look. Those boots are incredible! Very evil indeed. Tsoossudio, a blaster by @Tsoo Much (we're still trying to get his forum name) It's an exact replica of Ronald McDonald! ~The End~

Moonfire TF - Wolf Costumes - Any AT w/Claws Saturday, 3/4/2023 Not a huge turnout today, but Tsoo joined as our fifth. @TygerDarkstorm as Frostie Claws, a beautiful ice wolf tanker @TrixieKixx as herself, an elegant scrapper wolf with fuschia highlights @Midnyte as Forever Midnight, team photographer and red wolf night widow Our mystery friend "Tsoo" as Tsooriken @Jaxman100 as Timber Wolfe, the obvious pack leader "Say cheeeeeese....."
