  1. I am a big Adam Warlock fan so I hope he appears.  Given that they had Stark create Ultron, I don't think they are concerned with matching the comics.  They would just make Adam Warlock.

I am hoping that Kang is the big bad of this next era and they use Kang to merge universes and blend timelines so they can add in the X-Men and make other movies also part of the MCU but not in the same universe or timeline.

  2. There are roughly 3 types of players and here's how to revitalize anything.

Those who go through solo content for content.  To get them to use a place put in missions to that place.  Preferably new story arcs with contacts that show up automatically in their contact list.

Those who do content for rewards, and those who do group content (because people who do group content go where the people are).  To get them to use a place put it in a daily or weekly rotation for rewards.   You cannot just make it more rewarding - there are too many zones and things.  People do the most rewarding one.  You have to make it rotate so they do each of them.

Those who do badges.  To get them to use it, put in badges.

I try to remember that I'm going to spend a significant amount of time looking at their back side, so I want to make that view interesting.

I often forget this and find I have clipping issues in the back.  I made a large character with a tech knight butt cape and the clipping was terrible.  I noticed as soon as I created it and started running around in the world, after 30 minutes of fiddling in the costume editor.

    🤪

Yes on super reflexes.  And Martial Arts sets that are melee and do not have shuriken.

But it is "Technology" not "Devices".  A broadsword, battle axe, and katana are definitely technology.  Unless you think humans naturally have broadswords somehow.

  5. I believe you get up to level 18 powers in the two Positron TFs.  So basically level 19 characters.  SO's only.

You fight Vahz, Clockwork, and CoT.  So you deal with toxic, END drain, and to hit debuffs.  You have to fight off the ambush on the city hall steps, your shadows, an EB or two, and an AV.

My go to is a dominator.  With domination up you can control your shadow dopplegangers and make that fight easy.  I also want one with a persistent area control - earthquake, static field, ice slick, etc.  You can drop that in front of the city hall doors and it makes the ambush easy to fight off.

I tried earth domination but earthquake and ice slick are terrible with clockwork.  They are vulnerable to knockback so instead of getting knocked down they get knocked away from it.  You can fix that, but not with SOs.

So I have settled on electric control for a primary.  Static field for general control and paralyzing blast (you get at 18) for the shadow dopplegangers.

For secondary I am thinking psionic.  Good against all of the foes, especially the clockwork.  But I am not settled on this.

Is there a better ATT or powersets to use for the Positron TF?

it would be a shame to have the single solitary Natural origin group who actually have a philosophical commitment to achieving perfection as unaugmented humans turn out to be just another bunch of magic users after all.

What powersets in the game would you accept as natural origin?  The only 2 I can think of are willpower and street justice for primaries and secondaries, with the fighting pool and leadership for pools.  Everything else is not something a human can do or uses technology.

    B...atman?

Batman has body armor and gadgets.  He is considered a natural but many posters in this thread would consider him technology because of his gadgets.

Give some warriors armor and interesting weapons.  Give them trick arrows and other powers and I would be happy with them being interesting.

I consider the Warriors to be an element in the game that makes the suspension of disbelief less necessary.

I find the reverse.  The skulls use death magic and are lower level than the Warriors.  How are the warriors as normals with swords and camouflage pants tougher than Skulls?  Make the Warriors levels 1-5 and that makes sense.

The Warriors for me were always wanna be Hellions.   Street level gang that is afraid to dabble in the true dark arts.  What's the point?  No real threat and kind of an uninspired backstory.

It always seemed weird to me that the Warriors and Family who use regular weapons are more powerful than the skulls, hellions, and trolls that have super powers.

  10. I'm not saying they are underpowered or overpowered.  They are just boring.  Their look is so normal it is boring  Their attacks are boring.  I can't think of any special types of warriors like sorcerers or shamans that you pay special attention to.  They just seem like a generic mob of guys with swords.

Is that a problem?  Is it less fun to do missions with them?  Is it good because they are the palate cleanser between other groups?

That's a strong combo? I've played a tank with it and it never exactly felt strong. Fun as hell but not strong.

It has a large number of AoEs.  The assumption is you are using IO set bonuses to make your character nearly invulnerable so all that really matters is how much damage you do.

  12. Blood & Treasure was a summer show on CBS.  12 episodes available on Prime Video.

The show has a strong James Bond feel with some Indiana Jones.  A straight arrow retired FBI agent teams up with a thief to hunt down the terrorist who killed her father.  They travel around Europe and a bit in the U.S. and North Africa.  A lot of fancy dress in casinos, banks, etc.  But the terrorist has stolen the sarcophagus of Anthony and Cleopatra from Egypt, so they are hunting that down and there is archaeology and tombs and museums as well.

The show involves a secret society, the mob, nazi's, lots of intelligence agencies and police.  The heroes team with the police, go rogue, work with criminals, and do whatever it takes to track down the terrorists.  Lots of changing loyalties.

It's a fun show.  It is very consistent in quality and tone - how you feel about the first episode will be how you feel about the whole thing.  And it is totally serial but wraps up the story at the end of the season - no cliffhanger.
