I rolled ice/pain but now you have me wondering what AR/Pain does damage wise.
-
So build lions for defense and put them in bodyguard, while the wolves are in aggressive mode? Sounds fun. I know oppressive gloom is not that effective end game wise, but general gameplay it's pretty fun and useful. I find myself teetering back and forth from the edge of defeat, but my pets seem solid enough that I don't have to recast them often. If I do, I bit off way more than I can chew. Which is also fun. I think if I had another friend running Oppressive and Pain Dom it might be really great.

Fright-Seeing Tour! | Oct. 1st - 31st

@Snarky, you may want to have a look at this one -
We can agree to disagree, as a ten year Adept in the Temple of Set, and practicing Animist in Southeast Asia...I assure you I know my stuff too. 👹
-
You exited the message early. What's wrong with you?

The one I hated but tried so hard to love was Dark/Savage Dom. The concept is cool but it fails hard. At least for me.
-
I ran kin/energy on live all the way to 50. Pinball Wizard. I definitely disagree... But my Kin now is a Kin/Water Blast. Silver Tsoonami

That's like... Your opinion...heavily so

I would also love some opinions on Fighting Pool for MM's. Specifically the damage from having Kick+Boxing+Crosspunch. I use Crosspunch a lot. And I use the others too. The idea is I'm a melee toon with pets. But, I could save a power pick and slot those 4 kinetic combats into Brawl instead. If the damage scaling isn't that noticable on an MM then I could manage picking something else instead of both boxing and kick.

Thanks, moving Panacea proc to Suppress Pain is easy enough to do, and frees up a slot for that end/rech. You gave me back two slots to put elsewhere.
-
I mean this would be a fun team. A minmaxed sentinel and a petless MM? Just add a hideless stalker, and an all melee blaster and you're good to go

Literally read this thread to laugh at Diantiane... because I'll never, ever take them seriously or care otherwise.

So I built a fairly sturdy MM on the test server with Beasts/Pain/Dark. I also focused on the Fighting pool, taking the whole pool. The idea is that Oppressive Gloom lends me the space to do melee and buff/debuff. I don't have a decent way to export mids but... - I can get one purple insp away from overcapping defense. - pets seem sturdy and deal enough damage for me to be happy. I'm looking for specific Pain tricks because this is the first time I've been genuinely interested in the set. Thanks!

I had one of those same builds, and boy, was it the opposite of relaxing. I couldn't enjoy it. It got recycled.

How do you feel about 'lone wolfing'?
BazookaTwo replied to Story Archer's topic in General Discussion
What's your global so I can just ignore you now? -
Yeah, I haven't played this character much lately, but I recall I left concentrated strike out.
-
I really applaud this. I think building is a fun thing to discuss and help each other understand, and just throwing a successful build into the forums sort of leaves me with a "ok now what?" feeling. You never know if a build fits your play style or not.

Why I think Corruptors are taking a back seat to Defenders
BazookaTwo replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
Just throwing a theoretical, non maths based idea out there. What if defender's buff numbers were higher, and corruptor's debuff numbers were higher? Seems that would add balance? -
Why I think Corruptors are taking a back seat to Defenders
BazookaTwo replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
I want to ask specifically about pistols/time then because my proctastic (26 dmg% procs) time/pistols defender felt far superior to any of my pistols/ or /time Corruptors I've played. -
42 and I now have Spirit Shark, Bile Spray, and Arctic Spray. I'm likely going to take Maneuvers and slot it up for the best bonuses, but honestly, this build is not about capping resists and defense. This build is about Damage, Recharge, and Regen for me, with all the handy debuffs that come with Rad and Leviathan pools. The extra ranged attacks help me to keep all the AOE going, all the time, which really softens up mobs. Which I can then finish off the hard targets with ST fillers. It feels good. Definitely makes a noticable DPS difference in a team. Even if I'm not the heaviest hitter, I hit the most targets of any melee on the team.

Changes to the game/IOs SOs
BazookaTwo replied to Living Brain 3000's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You're assuming he has friends and/or a guild. I'd bet it's a closer guess he solos and hasn't ever turned up the difficulty settings to see how hard it can be made as is. -
Now level 36, and since it fits my character I ended up taking Leviathan Pool, because a character named Bum Fight absolutely needs [Bile Spray]. Honestly, This is turning out to be my favorite melee character.

Ground Zero secondary is currently showing no detailed info on the enhancement screen, nor in the icon info window.

I'm playing one of these. I don't have a build cobbled together, but here's a mini-guide to how I am approaching it. I'm leveling Bum Fight on Excelsior, the old fashioned way. No farming on this guy as it's just too much fun on the way to 50. So far I'm level 27, and the way StJ plays early on is you want your AOEs recharging as fast as possible. Street Justice: I use what I call 'kb rules' on this character. Meaning I slot Force Feedback Recharge as many places I can (currently three. Four if you have Kick from Fighting). Add Hasten and LotG procs to this build later on, and you can really push recharge. I also pepper in 2* the kb set with a smashing proc, for the 1.5% dmg bonus ( 6% damage ). I think stacking these easy set bonuses with Assault (10% dmg) and the Brute AT damage bonuses goes a long way. Once you have uppercut, I imagine you can also make a really good ST chain. The level 50 build I'd drop those 1.5 damage bonuses for Rare Melee sets and Brute ATO bonuses. Radiation: It's all about the Regen and the AOE heal early on as this helps you stay standing. I want that heal to recharge as much as possible, and will frankenslot Heal/Absorb/Recharge so it's popping often. Pre-Hasten, this is my autofire (ctrl+click) power. Beta Decay is super cool. I slap a Stun proc in it early for mitigation, but I see it can take all sorts of juicy procs. Because of that, I wouldn't slap a lot of recharge on this power, but it's great. The rest of early /Rad is really just basic Resist slotting. You can easily slot the 2 +Def Procs in here somewhere. I would probably slot a Kismet for Acc early on in Combat Jumping, and a Scaling Resistance in a second slot. This is a build that likes Regen, so 2 LotG procs *5 is also handy... As well as all the heal procs you can throw at the build. I might even be tempted to focus on Regen/Healing over Defense caps here. Overall it should be no problem stacking a healthy Resist/Regen/Defense combo package here, without resorting to stupid expensive purple set bonuses. Pools: So far it's looking like: Fighting: Kick, (maybe) Boxing, Tough, Weave, Cross Punch - Cross Punch also does the KB damage bonus/Force Feedback +Recharge thing. K/B/CP = Cross Punch hits Harder. You can also slot some S/L bonuses with Kinetic Combat. Speed: Hasten, (maybe) Super Speed Jumping: Combat Jumping, (maybe) Super Jump, (maybe) Spring Attack (kb bonuses again a fifth time)...probably not though. Leadership: Maneuvers, Assault, Vengeance. Epic: Not really sure here, player's choice. Accolades: Musculature Alpha Degenerative/Reactive Interface Mighty/Void/Vorpal Judgement Ageless Destiny Melee Hybrid

Be thankful you don't have options! Sheesh...imagine having CHOICES it would be AWFUL
