  1. That is some Grade A nightmare fuel
  2. You fail at heal farming 🙂
  3. Art of Noise and Max Headroom, a double throwback.
  4. Apparently Six 🙂 I have had one drop my entire time playing on Homecoming dont recall ever getting one on live. I honestly don't understand wjy anyone would buy one since you can get them ad nauseam when the WST is the respec trials.
  5. I don't look back at the ED implementation on live with any degree of anything, good bad or neutral as it simply didn't affect me or my game play. I played Blasters almost exclusively with the exception of 1 of each hero AT and two Villain ATs. 30 Blasters and I had just as much fun, played just as fast as before, felt just as super. Maybe I was lucky, maybe my expectations were different. I certainly was no min-maxer or pvper so it just didn't matter. And when the Invention system came in, only 1 character had any of the Sets and that was just a few. It just didn't impact MY play. That said, Homecoming has done a great job of opening up options for more power, now all of my toons are kitted out with Set IOs giving me the opportunity to play with variables, take or not take powers, Yet I sell all purples, because being teh ubar was never my game play goal, fun was and sweating the load over a percentage or 2 isn't fun. I had friends though, they were pissed. I also had one SG mate who I enjoyed listening to spin out of control in anger over it (we were not pals) . . . sometimes you wanna watch the world burn 🙂
  6. For me, knowing what the destruction of Galaxy City by the Shivans was really about, I would love to see it turned into a "Super-Hazardous" Level 50, Incarnates only hazard zone with a tough incarnate only task/strike (no league) to recover a mcguffin or stop whatever. Unless they are gonna drive forward with a partial execution within constraint of the Battalion story, which I have visions of. GC was where I started all my characters on live so there's nostalgia there. I mean I still have shit in my apartment there; my spoon collection and my plaque for going round the world four times at Chan's back in the day.
  7. Wow! JtHM. That's a fun throwback there, or is it a . . . Flashback!
  8. There is a passing reference to it in the 2013 AMA Lore Thus I consider it otherworldly.
  9. Doing every contact? Annoying holes?
  10. Welcome back. The great thing is, you get the chocolate shake.
  11. Epic Time Manipulation. People would take a Defender more seriously if there was the threat of them draining you to level 48.
  12. And us squids have hijacked yet another thread. So the the OP, I learned something from you beucase I just assumed it was some dumb new internet word used to describe something not that old but not internetty enough for the internets. The only Heinlein I ever read was Starship Troopers. So thanks for the edumacation.
  13. You are funny PF. I wasn't going to post my pictures of drinking from grog bowls over the years, but I found one that wont get you in trouble, not me you. The Navy invented that shit and the AF just realized how awesome it was. I am the one in the secksi choker whites on the left. the scared guy on the right was one of my people who I told I was going to send to the bowl all night for every little infraction.
  14. I will be having it at the upcoming CPO Birthday Dining In
  15. In real life I hold onto things that I have actual memories attached to vice things like DVDs and such. I have unloaded stuff or simply donated to the country donation bins; clothes, movies, books to the library. This comes from my childhood and to a lesser extent military adulthood of moving around and not having lots of room to keep stuff or having to leave stuff behind. In game, well I freaking hate busy inventories. It kills me actually. I will totally break play flow in order to clean up that shit. And not just CoH. I did it in tabletop D&D, and the games and any game with an inventory, often to my regret. I really notice it when playing ipad tappy tap games like Merge Mansion, I love merging that shit to free up space but go bonkers when the space is getting tight. I am so selling that damn wrench, screw Maddie. In CoH I am that person that the market workers love, I just throw it up for 5 inf and take whatever I get. unless I am tossing it into SG bins.
  16. So for those who do not know, the birthday of the establishment of the rank of the Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy is the 1st, a separate observed thing to the Navy Birthday. It is something that is not lost on a Chief as one once said it to me during the season "When asked, a Chief is expected to know, if not, they know where to look, otherwise they are a fool." Thanks Senior Chief Cardulo. I am sorry for kind of hijacking this thread with yaarrr, sea stories but around this time as we approach that date I get kind of sentimental. Sorry.
  17. I appreciate that and am proud of it like many of the vets here in the forums. I hold all who serve others before themselves in high esteem. Doctors, teachers, firefighters, cops, lawyers who fight for right, a press that stands uncovers lies, even politicians who represent their constituents rather than themselves. Plus we have the best stories and the funnest good natured brawling.
  18. Been a while since I came in close proximity to a Bubblehead. 👌
  19. April first means only one thing to me; 132 years this year
  20. I don't have exact numbers but the majority of the player base of Homecoming is not in their 20s or 30s. I personally am in my mid fifties and I can guarantee that the opinions and what that generation consider toxic (as a whole - not the clusters of assholes that ruin many things) differ from those writing for gaming blogs. This is fine mind you, its the age old process and discourse that our parents had with us and theirs to them, just via different means. You navigate around or if need be through it. Toxic this and toxic that are just more words attempting to describe complex things relating to humans being around other humans, its no different than the introduction and constant misuse of the term passive aggressive; it became the word used to describe arguments that don't go your way. But if you don't slap a new coat of paint on it or rebrand it, then it isn't yours and we all need agency? That's the word they use now right, agency? 🙂
  21. That was just what I was thinking. That sucks.
