  1. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  2. During character creation there should be some description of the Praetorian/"Going Rogue" option indicating the type of experience that it provides. Brand New players that head in that direction might mistakenly believe that the game is completely devoid of players. I don't remember if it says so, but the concept that the zones are a level 1-20 experience might be misleading: "Oh, these are low level zones, this must be a tutorial starting point!" which it very much is not. Even just a simple recommendation that the Praetorian starting zones are recommended for experienced players who are looking for a more story-driven experience, are comfortable with soloing through arcs, and are familiar with turning XP on and off to ensure arcs and contacts can be completed might be enough. We've already had at least one new player post about their experience starting there and how it wasn't great for them.
  3. Nope, for a few reasons including the obvious "opens the door to a constant game of whack-a-mole with GMs closing down RMT trader accounts." Most of the Accolades are Window Dressing anyway, and the Core Set "worth getting" are easily gotten during the leveling process of any given toon. Anyone who wants the others can just go get them. It isn't that hard. If we're talking the "But Stych, I'm a completion-ist and I won't be satisfied without all of them on every toon!" objection then my question is "Is it really all that satisfying to just buy them? Is that really completion-ist-ism? Doesn't seem like it to me." Also ... Seriously? Sheesh. Show some class in your OP and your ideas might be more well received. Not this one, because it isn't a good idea, but in the future you might have more luck without such antagonistic nonsense in your initial suggestion.
  4. Curious to hear what didn't work for you in s2. It certainly wasn't as strong as s1, particularly in the supporting performances, but I still enjoyed watching it. I don't remember the sister, maybe I didn't get that far. For me, it was just a general lack of quality in the writing and by s3 the performances felt very ... forced ... like even the actors weren't enjoying doing it anymore. On top of that the villain (at least the one I saw introduced) just wasn't remotely compelling and very poorly performed. I got what they were trying to do and kudos the them for trying, they just did a really poor job of pulling it off. 🤷‍♂️ YMMV, and all that. 🍻 FWIW: I am liking WandaVision so far, a little over-the-top in their performances with respect to homage to 1950s television, but humorous nonetheless. First couple of episodes ramped up the "something else is going on" a little fast, but the episodes are short and it is just a single season, so cutting them a little slack there.
  5. It did? Huh, I stand corrected. 🤣 Somehow I thought they were other way around. Of course I also harbored an extreme dislike for Iron Fist, and sort of held that character against Defenders, so I might have watched them out of order. Bernthal was great as Punisher, but the series itself was pretty basic. Of the Netflix shows Luke Cage was my favorite, which isn't really the popular choice. Alfre Woodard's performance as Mariah was nothing short of fantastic and among many of what I thought were high marks in that series. IMO, s3 was unwatchable and I gave up a few episodes in. I didn't care much for s2 either. JJ took a hard nose dive after an incredibly excellent first season, but that's strictly one person's opinion.
  6. Secret Cow Level: Confirmed! 🤣 Massive Thanks to everyone on the team; glad all of your hard work was rewarded with the license agreement, and looking forward to more good things to come!
  7. Yeah, they did put a lot of work into setting this expectation with the interlinked movies leading up to Endgame. Personally, I think they could/should have let that achievement stand and taken a more disconnected approach instead of trying to keep the chain moving. Just because stories are happening in the larger story-scape doesn't mean they need to lead up to another big finish, imo. Having worked within the production industry for the last 14+ years, what they accomplished with the initial run is incredibly impressive in its scope and execution. Thinking they could do it again without running into massive issues an - most of all - failing to meet audience expectations is the very definition of hubris. I've not seen all of the post-Endgame movies or series yet, but as @ThaOGDreamWeaver pointed out, Black Widow, for example was basically a "paint by numbers" mess devoid of much impact outside of the stand-out performance by the sister. Dr. S: MoM was enjoyable, but had as many weaknesses as strengths. I very much enjoyed Loki but that, arguably, is somewhat closer to the "One Shot" style of story I've been seeking that just happens to slot within the larger multi-project narrative while focusing mainly on the journey of the main character instead of the "big bad thing coming soon." It also had much higher quality writing than the movies in this current phase that I've seen so far. To give you an idea how far behind I am, I am rolling through them on D+ in the "In Timeline Order" feature (which, imo has some errors in it like placing The Punisher after Defenders, but that is a different thread), and I'm just now up to WandaVision having recently finished both Loki and What If ...? (both seasons of each, I'm not being that neurotic about the order, lol)
  8. Far be it from me to come between a person and themselves. 😉
  9. If we're talking the Muppet Show, there are 2 (well, 3, technically) obvious choices: Go deep on it - setup key binds to spam team chat with random noises and a lot of shouting of your own name. Go even deeper - build binds and macros to trash-talk your targets. Or go Full @Snarky and use the binds on your team. 😉 I suppose you could use your powers too, but I'm thinking outside the box entertainment value here. 🤣 Edit: Actually, if I was inclined to Dual-Box a trash-talking Statler and Waldorf homage would be hilarious. A lot of work, but completely hilarious. Double Edit: Actually don't take this one. I think Snarky and @Luminara should team-up this combo and go full ham on PUGs. Mostly Kidding ... Mostly. Double-Edit Post Script: This post is not meant to be taken seriously in any fashion what-so-ever. Tongue Firmly In Cheek Here.
  10. Welcome Home! Character building is actually an incredibly deep part of the game experience around these parts. It helps to long-play a few toons into higher levels where more power choices and enhancement slots are available. This will give you a better idea of what higher level play looks like, and will probably give you a better sense of what types of toons are the most interesting to you. If this is an aspect of the game that looks interesting, you might want to get a preview of what's in store for character building through a few additional resources. If you haven't already done so, take a tour through the archetypes section of the forum and browse the figuratively endless ways that players have setup their toons. It might also give you some new ideas for characters to try out: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/43-archetypes/ Once you've gotten down some of the fundamental concepts, you might also consider checking out Mids Reborn. It is an external tool for planning out character builds, completely optional, but if it is an aspect of the game that interests you it is an invaluable tool: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/74-forum/ Personally, I very much enjoy exploring the possibilities of what can be done when designing a toon from a mechanical perspective. Almost as much as I love playing with the costume creator. 😉 Investing a little bit in the "backstory/concept" of the character is also something I like to do. Even if you don't engage in active or deep RP (I don't, but I'll occasionally chat in team chat in a psedo-IC manner), writing up a short narrative or description for the Character Bio screen (the editor is wonky, but serviceable) helps flesh out the experience nicely. Most of all, don't sweat the low-level play so much. Even if you solo through the first 20 levels doing Zone content those levels will fly by and are a drop in the proverbial bucket of the game experience, especially if you deep dive into builds and costumes.
  11. Legion Stands Alone. It was 3 seasons because that is the story that Noah Hawley wanted to tell. Personally, I talk about Legion all the time, just not in these threads. Well, ok, occasionally in these threads -see my comments on appreciating the similarities that the aesthetics of the set and costume designs of the TVA shared with Clockworks and Summerland from Legion in the Loki thread - for example. For me, it is unquestionably the best of the adaptations, full stop. But it was never intended to be part of any larger universe/cineverse/pick-your-term. Aside from ... ... don't expect to see more of any of those characters anywhere else. What I'd like to see is more stand-alone, limited series run stories of that high level of writing quality and production craft with a clear narrative plan that aren't just looking to see how long they can self-perpetuate.
  12. Welcome Back! I have a Fire/Stone/Blaze slotted somewhat differently with broadly similar numbers. I'll have to look closer at your updated build at another time, but I don't see too much to suggest. /Stone is amazing on a Stalker, but Geode isn't terribly useful - it gets broken through too quickly to build the damage boost at anything above default difficulty. +3/+4 heavy hitters can crack it in one or two strokes sometimes. x8 groups also make short work of it. If you wanted to take something else instead you could easily drop it. The Celerity piece in Stealth (edit: I means Sprint, lol) seems redundant? Is it useful outside of Hidden in some way I'm not getting?
  13. Anything/Martial Combat makes a good solo blaster - Ki-Push is a great tool for dealing with troublesome targets (and endless fun), Reaction Time is fantastic, Dragon's Tail is one of the most reliable knock-downs around, Storm Kick is amazing DPA, and Inner Will on Auto is like having a Break Free without needing to think about it. ... and that's all without getting into the goodness that is Burst of Speed 😄
  14. This. @djm6833 ... ... in order to get the undercover options in Praetorian missions you have to set that up at the tail end of the tutorial. There are a few good guides out there for completing all of the Praetorian content in a single run by turning off XP at certain points and switching sides at key points. Definitely one of the highlights of the game if looking for a good solo run through early level missions. Undercover options are a part of this run. I've been meaning to do another one of these eventually; highly recommend trying it if a player wants to experience Gold Side.
  15. I can hop on for a bit tomorrow, just ping me when we know an approximate time and duration.
  16. Kids these days, always whingeing on the internet with their inflated sense of entitlement. Oh child, if you only knew what you clearly do not know.
  17. Interesting. The original was fun, I should see if it is on the Peacock since it came free with my internet service. Definitely enjoyed The Pretender back in the day, not my best use of examples that post was, lol. 😄
  18. Classic would have been my choice - or at least something closer to 90s cartoon Rogue. Without the blazing red hair and boundless confidence she just feels wrong, but I'm probably showing my age. 😄 Came back to comment further: I'd like to seem them branch out a bit with X-men characters though and let the more well known ones sit for a bit. The Cuckoos were the only thing that really made The Gifted worth watching, for example, and it would be interesting to see Quintin Quire in movie form as well. On topic: Loved the ending of s2 of Loki. I'm all for more narratives that know where they are going and get there definitively.
  19. We didn't get anything remotely close to a good Rogue. Hard for me to describe what we got without sounding bitter and hyperbolic, but I was greatly disappointed at what they did with her in the movies.
  20. Wow! Big Congrats and Thanks to the team! Outstanding work!
