Oh, I started with a 14 day trial. remember those😄 . Every evening when I'd ask a friend of mine online what he was playing, it was always 'City of Heroes' Now, I had always played first person shooters and strategy games, never looked at an mmo, eventually I got curious, friend sent me a free trial. This was around issue 5, issue 6 I've never been one for the super hero genre, but he found it interesting. I sucked at naming and costuming, and I still do, but when playing I was just tickled at the interactions between all the other powers people had and watching crazy stuff go down in front of me. one of the first characters I created, Radical Raptor, inv/axe melee tanker, finding it hilarious that i was surrounded by enemies to the point I could only see the top of my head, then hitting whirling axe and watching every mob around me flip over like fish in a pan. I laughed, and I was hooked. Humor will go a long way with me 🙂

fun fact, if you hold alt before you select to say switch toons, you can then tab out of the game and not disturb the timer, good for getting a quick look at discord or something before you head back in.

Yeah, in Aus, it has not felt right since the last update either. Several times while in missions with others, I'll see stuff going on around me, but my character is unresponsive, then after say 10-15 seconds, things will suddenly catch up. this does not show up in the green netgraph bar either. lots of 'micro rubber banding' sometimes when switching characters, it will appear stuck and I will hit esc to bring it back to log in screen. Normally i'd just put this down to my isp, but I have seen similar comments from others in general. This is all intermittent too, so repeating it will be annoying. Sometimes i'm fast enough to catch odd stuff with shadowplay, I will attempt to do so. don't know if anything under the hood was changed at all, or if its just some router out there playing up between us and the server

I like the gameplay as it exists now, and I would rather not have everyone start over and loose everything, so if the gameplay must change it has to be careful. I was talking visual upgrades because it could be done on a per client basis, so those with older hardware don't have to worry.

I'd be fine how it is, I just want a visual upgrade.

Eh, its fine where it is. power of hindsight after all, besides, getting a build up to that level of strength takes time, planning and a s***ton of farming to complete.

I don't mind individual sets having low accuracy, because normally during the course of a build I will end up with many global accuracy bonuses, so it works out pretty neatly in the end.

a regular human head without ears. you are restricted on what hair options you can chose if you are using different ears. skirts and shorts for monsterous legs. A larger colour pattern would be nice I could give more but those 3 I feel would be quite well used universally.

The -damage and -defense stopped me from using the set completely as well. rerolled both characters i had and changed one to em and one to sj. ss just hold zero appeal in its current state

Have also been on several failed 'triple threats' before it finally clicked. kudos. one of the harder ones I suspect.

On characters without natural defense toggles, I will often just build to about 30% odd, that way they can be a small purple away from softcap, or perhaps some other click power like support core hybrid.

Not really a room, but a very small outside map, lots of rubble, during the Black Scorpion patron Arc. There is one spot, where you look in one direction, I can get an RTX4090 down to sub 20fps. There is something in that area that is just not working right. lol.

Yep, modem and router have both had their arse kicked, this is happening on multiple pc's here. speed tests and browsing are fine.

The missus and I have had weird issues lately, one moment all is clear and fine, the next, bam reds galore, sometimes switching zones brings it on, other times it gets rid of it, like its zone or mission specific. Screenshot is inside 'Investigate Warrior Earth' *edit* Just now ... with that netgraph, I oro'ed out, and its perfectly clear in oro, its also clear in atlas.

Yeah gotta admit, an axe scrapper sounded intriguing. regardless, i do not feel these changes will do much to what was always a kinda fun set to play.

if you know what you are doing, you can get updated files through github. I did grab their latest one to look at a couple of things, but ultimately i'd wait for the official build.

I put it lower because kinetic offered smashing/nrg, where as axe was all lethal. something i have avoided ever since.
