While what Cipher is working on is super cool and I look forward to using it, I fail to see the connection between that and a new Wiki.
Maybe I'm just having a slow brain day.
Well I normally bid 2.5 million on a piece of Brass and I did find myself bidding 25 mil the other day.
Perhaps it was me
I applaud your effort to return the influence but I wonder if the right person will come this way.
If they don't find their way here I'm sure they will learn to look twice before clicking. We have all been there I am sure.
Ooh I'll play.
Alpha Centauri is one I also find myself returning to over the years.
Company of heroes is on the list.
Sid Maiers Pirates is the other mainstay. Been playing that game since I was 12ish on the Commodore 64. Loved it. Went to Havana a few years back and when we walked the cobblestone streets I thought of all the times I had tried to sack the city and never quite did.
Dear Lord we had a Vic 20 with the tape deck. Typing out code from some book so I could play Crazy Climber. Kind of looked like it lol.
I do think it is about time I visit Abandonware (are they safe?) and return to 4D Boxing so Speedy D Liver can make another run at the Champ. Never did beat him.
So I have decided to remake my main as a Praetorian so I can get the badge.
I know that my incarnate components are useless. In regards to threads/shards/merits I know I can transfer some and/or convert into reward merits or perhaps super inspirations.
What can I do with what?
I have a staff/SR scrapper at 50. He is a great deal of fun for a period of time but then he gets boring. Not getting hit by anything is awesome but at some point I want a damage aura of some sort plus a heal/end button to click
I think of Hero Named Ted as my easy mode for when I am a little too tired/high/drunk to be able to focus and click on a complicated chain of events.
Super tough and defeats lots of baddies though.
You would probably get lots of thoughts in the scrapper/brute/tank subforums.
So I have finally set upon a badger which turns out to be the Claws/Fire Brute I made when first coming home. Was my last main so it seemed appropriate that it was my first 50 coming back.
Then I abandoned him.
Now I have rediscovered him after some time away and love it anew.
Problem is that I didn't start him in Praetoria.
I understand you can get the Avid Reader badge by talking to Prometheus at 50 but honestly so far that hasn't worked for me. Is it true and if so what exactly do I need to do?
What about Praetoria's Son/Daughter? Only if I start there right?
If I can avoid losing all of my character start date and incarnate stuff I would be happy but would also be fine if I need to start over.
Let me know.
When I saw the big red robot in Market Crash, I believe, it lessened the pain a little for me .
I'm going to echo Citadel, Synapse, and Manti as a little too grindy. That being said I am a sucker for Crey and am ok with fighting lots of robots.
Haven't actually ran a Numina but I imagine the hunts will annoy me a little.
It is my understanding trying to bid on your own items on the same character who listed it does not work out so it needs to be done on separate characters.
Could be wrong......
Everyone plays to their own style and their notion of fun.
Some are fine running a fire mission in AE earning scads of influence from the sounds of it. Not my thing but that's ok.
I'm definately a marketeer. A flipper in fact. Buy low, list slightly higher and profit. I do craft a select number of items for sale but 100k in materials to give me 2 million is too good to pass up.
I agree that I do not provide any actual product into the system but I am fine with that. After much time actually crafting recipes it became quite obvious this was the simplest way to earn.
Purples are rolling at 35 million right now. You really don't need to spend that much. I certainly don't.
What do I use my illgotten gains for? Well stupidly cool builds naturally but I give most of it away because why not.
Are people making 500 million for an hour of work? Probably. I know I'm not. Haven't done the math but maybe 200ish for a hour spread over a few days.
I don't convert. Discovered here, as well as Live, it was just to much clicking for me. I would rather be using my clicks for beating up the bad guys.
There is no real inequality in the influence earned. Just need to find your style and go with it. If you choose a method with less earning potential that is your choice.
