  1. So, given that my pets are always over 50% defense, there really is no reason to take Fortify Pack?

Or were they ready for release? The last 4 power pools were never added. Everyone gets Sorcery.
  3. I've been playing a lot of Sentinel. My take is that it was designed by experienced players. It's a very smooth experience. The loopholes, both bad and good, have been removed from their comparable powersets. They are almost boring due to being so easy to play. But the huge thing that defines Sentinels is status protection. Everyone is different, but I always chose Doms over Trollers because I don't feel very heroic getting chain-mezzed. Same reason for choosing Sentinels over Blasters. You may not do quite as much damage, but you can still more than hold your own in a team. And no one has to pay attention to keeping you alive. And you can jump in and PBAoE without having to chug inspirations. Definitely feels a lot more heroic. As for the class feature, it really helps with bosses and big baddies. Once the bar fills up (and it fills up fast), hitting a mob with your Tier 1 or 2 will enable a major damage buff for the whole team. I'm not sure how much, but it's definitely noticeable. AFAIK, purple patch has no doesn't affect it because it's a team buff, not a debuff. But I could be wrong on that, it's hard to get numbers.
  4. Something defensive: Heal, Armor, etc. A resistance debuff. I really don't need anything that causes damage at that point. I guess Immobilize mildly useful, but it really pales in synergy compared to pretty much any other AT.
  5. Duel Pistols wins at animations. Especially with Combat Jumping.
  6. Yeah, the respec would be easy for MMs. AV's will be interesting.
  7. Thanks for the info. My son and I have a duo MM team, and it'll be plenty to handle most TF's. Not to mention what it would do to some graphics cards if we joined a full size TF.

    Epic Pools

    Has anyone found a useful power in the Epic/Ancillarys pools? It's almost as though they were designed meek to counter the early power curve of Sentinels.
  11. Do you leave it on in combat? I always found Flight mega annoying to fight with.
  12. Is there a way to do these with just a couple people, other than getting someone to join just through the first door? Ouros, or the queue, or something? Thanks!

  21. For Brutes, Evolving Armor caps at about +10% resist and +5% Defense from Defensive Adaptation. With the HP buff and another 10/5 from other powers, I could see that making a difference when tanking.
  22. I agree that the set is very different for Tanks than it is for Scrappers or Brutes. Are you sure Evolving Armor buffs past 10 opponents for Tanks?
  23. Definitely. The minimal FX option is fine, though.
  24. You'd have to slot your build to maximize Defensive. Just switching it on doesn't provide enough of a boost to turn you into a tank. I'm sure it can be situationally useful. I'll probably just IO 45% defense to S/L and run Offensive. Giving up 50% damage just isn't worth a few hp and maybe 15% resist. Unless there are some other "hidden" powers. ;)
  25. 50% damage loss v Offensive. I agree that Defensive is nice when tanking, but not really for Brutes or Scrappers. I suppose if you have 2 builds you could mini-tank when needed, but for the most part I think it's a waste. Maybe what the Tier 9's were meant to be, minus the crash?
