What time do you guys do your Euro Runs?

I'm in GMT +9 so it's pretty impossible to make your usual Tuesdays unless I have a Wednesday off.

9:30AM Pacific, so whatever that means for GMT 😝

Here's a link to the Reunion TTT thread:

I don't even recall seeing Rock Shield, probably due to whiskey.

I thought it was heretical to not take granite.

The T1 armor is actually named "Rock Armor"...and no, don't ever skip it 😁.

Not anymore.  I take it as more of a mule (for the Unbreakable Guard +7.5% hit points) and the ability to take that form, for thematic purposes.  Back on Live, it was a must.  With the QoL changes to Stone, it's really superfluous, now.  As Sovera mentioned, there are outstanding benefits/bonuses from the other armors, that you immediately lose when you activate Granite.  I run PLVRIZR 99.9% outside of Granite, and breeze through +4/8 content, even exemplared down from 50+3.

PLV took a team through Yin's TF, thanks for leading PLV.

My pleasure!  We were only six, but mighty.  I piloted my titular toon and there was only one other 50 (not fully kitted) and four were mid-20s to mid-30s...so we channeled our best @Spaghetti Betty and ran +4/8 with no insp or temps.  JUST KIDDING.  +2/8 and finished in 44 min. with only a handful of defeats (I think @PapaSlade forgot that he was running a 30-something and not the usual 50+3/Tier 4 Incarnate 😆).  Took a bit longer than usual, as I had to be careful about how many mobs we herded.  All-in-all a grand time with a bazillion levels gained and my favorite part of the TF was three of the six tanks dinged simultaneously at the reactor entrance door before Clamor, so we ran right to her, half the team fully juiced, and she went down like a /forum edit/, the first round.

It was nice to meet y'all on Tuesday. I wish I had the time to run something with y'all, but at least wanted to say hello. I've been lurking here since I came back in January, and have really enjoyed learning about the things that have changed since I was away from your builds. I appreciate the posted builds and advice that y'all have posted over the past few years. It made coming back a lot easier having points of reference from people who have been playing. I am still getting my feet under me, but I am sharing a build in the near future. It is a very different build, but it should at least make for some good conversation.

    Ditto, DR!

I assume because of the DC hero "Atom Smasher".

Appeal and tell them you're actually a supervillain that smashes Automated Teller Machines and that this must all be just a big misunderstanding.  🤪

Oh well, guess I'll have to change it to ATMSTOMPR...

  6. Synapse team had a blast.  Thanks again to @Ronin_Around for leading...and that completed Task Force Commander for this toon!

I brought my Rad/SS and it was a cakewalk.  Really missed Foot Stomp, but procc'd Hand Clap did the job.

Logging in this morning, however, I was "genericized".  Just the name, not the costume.  Dunno why "ATMSMSHR" would infringe on any copyrights, though.  🤔🤷‍♂️

  7. "Plague" refers to biological contamination (bacterial or insectoid), so I'd recommend Bio.  Evolving Armor "infects nearby enemies, lowering their resistance".  DNA Siphon "siphons genetic material from nearby enemies".  Genetic Contamination "breaks down the genetic material of your foes with a powerful toxin".  And the coup de grace is Parasitic Aura..."release a cloud of parasites".  Damn plaguey to me...

PLV ran Yin... Much leveling and silliness was had by all. Welcome to all the players new to Tanker Tuesdays (and the game).

My lens cap was on, so no pics.  We also had a blast with some intermediate level tanks on Yin (a couple of us were built) and finished a +2/8 in 33 min.  I think I counted four of our eight as new TTers, so I echo the welcome.  We had some great herding as well.  Drove my titular toon and was pleasantly reminded that non-Granite stone armor is great against Freaks and their sucky Super Stunners...

+6 Freaks with multiple rezzes zapping our endurance on a team of 5 (two Rad Tanks, one Elec Tank, one Bio Tank, and my week old Fire Tank). All good fun.

I had planned/hoped for a FreakSpec (and thanks again to WB for leading, so I could just cruise), so dusted off the Elec/Elec...which was very fortuitous.  Must be a bug because clearly, WB had the final mission set on +2/8 and I was conning lvl 43 (actual is 50+3/VL 30-ish)...but the Freak bosses (and those damned Super Stunners) were conning 49!, so it took quite a bit of whittling to get them down.  WB swears he had several also rez more than once.  Goes a long way to explain our 1:09 time, as well 😆

Reconsider Pyre - mine started out energy too, but fireball is the cherry on top of the burn, combustion, fire sword circle aoe goodness.

All that's left after that carnage GFS, incinerate and fire sword will take care of the hapless stragglers and round 2 is only a few seconds away also.

    And I'll add.....

Pyre offers Melt Armor as a fantastic AOE debuff.  Always nice for a tank to bring that to an AV party.  If you've got a third Pyre slot, I also highly recommend Char, as a great ST hold (for Sappers and the like) and it takes the Entomb +absorb shield proc (and fires alot), since Fire can use all the mitigation it can have.

Good run on Torch tonight. Four teams. MsA lead the Cavern team, Ronin went red with a Patron unlock, PLV lead Yin and I ran missions (I think the covers it).

3/16 This coming Sat, we're on Reunion at 9:30AM PDT. Meet in KR by IP gate as always.

3/19 We're on Everlasting. Meet in KR at 6PM PDT/9PM EDT and we'll get rolling from there.

The Yin team had a blast.  We had seven tanks, with several newcomers to the TTT.  Ran Yin at +2/8 and finished in 39 min.  Not too shabby and the group herding learning curve was evident, but by Clamor (x2), we had everyone on the same page.

See you, Saturday (I hope!). 😆

My funds aren't spectacular so I tried my best to keep the sets manageable with a single purple set to make me commit to a bit of a grind.

My advice is that funds should never be a problem.  With a little effort, you can make $1B (see Yomo Kimyata's thread about his journey there).  Also check out @Sovera's signature, for super quick money-making strategies.  With enough Infamy, you will be able to maximize your toon, with as many purple sets as you need.  If you want to grind, then go with what you've got 😆

  14. Fiery Melee + Fire Armor + Pyre Mastery.  Blazing Aura, Burn, Combustion, Fire Sword Circle.  Four PBAOE/Aura.

I have a tank version and with Pyre mastery you get Fireball (AOE), Melt Armor (AOE Debuff) and Char, which is a great ST hold and slots Entomb +absorb.  Very thematic, as well.  Surprisingly durable and a complete murderball of fire.

Fire Armor/Super Strength: Similar Saiyan type theme I guess. I could see this combo doing almost Scrapper levels of damage. Burn + Footstomp seems like it’ll clear a TON of baddies. Fire Armor seems to have a bit more holes than the other two, but this combo seems like it can bring the pain.

    First off, welcome Home!

This combo was just discussed and a murder machine was born and absolutely maximized:

Here's another excellent thread, even though Stone Armor wasn't on your list.  Whether you take Granite or not (my titular toon mules it but rarely, if ever, jumps into Granite form).  If you take it, just morphing into a giant rock monster is good for occasional giggles (especially for teammates).

Whatever you pick, have fun and tank on!  If you want to bring your tanker to a teaming event...of all and ONLY tanks, check this thread out (start on last page):
