Finally made a euro run. Good time as always. Rod needs some love though. He was a bit squishy for being in his 30's, gonna have to send him some cash to bulk up a bit.

Fun night as always. After all these years, beating up Council never gets. Kilo, luv the Reed Richards profile pic but it doesn't seem to match your methodology for building better tanks. Need someone a bit more...I don't know...sadistic??

Need to post some sad news to our tanker family. Philotic Knight has posted that we have lost Hera. I am away from a computer for the next week and a half and just have my phone. I have no idea how to link in another post. If anyone can pull in a link to PK's post it would be greatly appreciated. I only knew Hera from COH and almost exclusively from years of Tanker Tuesdays. Philotic Knight had a much closer relationship and their post is an honor to Hera's memory far beyond what i could share. What I can say is, in all those years and all those missions, I never had a bad memory when Hera was with us. In this day and age, that speaks volumes. I encourage all of our tanker family to join Philotic Knight in honoring the passing of a great Tanker, and an even better person.

Deepest condolences PK. I only knew Hera thru countless Tanker Tuesday runs and always new it would be a good run with them in the lead or on the team. The battle cries were always on point and I often found myself with a profound need to go read a book after a few hours teaming with Hera. I know many of us will look to honor our memories of Hera for as long as we strive to make both our worlds a better place.

Now that ASF went live, what do you think of it?

So I was on this team with Warpact last weekend and we had our usual core group of 4 all playing characters we feel pretty comfortable and competent on. I openly admit we went in a bit blind and cranked it up a notch or two and said lets see what happens. That 5 hours and 89 deaths was the result. I was definitely cranky by the end. I can deal with the slpody baddies and death patches. I still have the reflexes at almost 52 years old to react and get away. The spike damage from the mobs is what really started to annoy me. I have always been more comfortable with resistance based armor sets and this thing seemed designed to make me useless. Constantly getting killed while watching the animation on my initial strike. I do not mind getting defeated. I just like to go down fighting. This did not feel like I had a chance to do that. That entire first run made me feel like a minion level NPC. I have no doubt our next runs will be much better but I am not sure I am going to enjoy this much in the long run on the majority of my characters. -

I am not some Rando...Warpact knows exactly what he is getting when I show up...besides, it was shiny and clicking makes me feel important -
I read that as going to "faceplant over this"....I've been teaming with Warpact way too long.

Haven't had a chance to look thru the entire thread so apologies if this has been mentioned previously. Would it be possible to find a way to use an existing stock mission map as a static base map? My guess would be single level maps like: 1.) Cargo ships 2.) various warehouse or cave maps 3.) Casino/bars 4.) A single floor of an Arachnos base 5.) An abandoned Faultline base There could be a lot of possibilities. just from the map list in AE. I used to be able to stack rooms and had some neat layouts in the old days but I just cannot seem to get the hang of it again. Existing stock maps would provide us some short cuts for a simple themed base for some of our groups.

I'm in. Have had a tank stashed there for a while figuring we would land there eventually.

Nice run on the Penny Yin TF last night. Thanks to Kilo for leading. Question on the MSR. Is there a recommended minimum level we should shoot for? Excelsior is sort of a secondary spot for me and my highest level tank there is currently a level 27 Willpower. Just seeing how much time I might need to shift over there before this rolls around.

Looks at roster...does some quick math...realizes 22% of all characters have Dark Armor. Looks at Rangle...are you saying there's a problem here mister??

It warms my heart whenever I am milling around a on a thread and there is an Arcanaville response to read. From my point of view, one of the wonderful little perks the rebirth of the game has brought back for me.

1). Not to my knowledge. 2) My guess is a Saturday will be the most viable option for Reunion. On the selfish side I would suggest a mid/late July (20th?) attempt at a first run just because I have vacation planned for the week after the 4th of July. Or, if we want to be ambitious, we can look at June 29th as a possibility. If I remember correctly, which happens less and less these days, there was a TT thread on the individual server forums that was used to advertise when the tour was rolling back around. Perhaps we revive those and use the reunion thread to solicit times from the folks over there?

Definitely a nice run this week. appreciate everyone putting up with me being less than useful at times as I work through some technical issues. Still working on best way to play while traveling for work. I cannot download the game to the work laptop I travel with so I have everything on a flash drive plugged into the laptop and use a hotspot for internet connection. Get some real issues in large crowded zones/maps. I think I am going to have to dial down the graphics to the bare minimum and cross my fingers as the graphics issues will only get worse as we all level up and add additional powers. I will learn to live with the blah graphics as long as I can play while on the road. Thankfully home next week to play on the trusty old desktop machine.

hiya Warboss. I have a TankHQ sg set up on reunion and I started working on the indomitable base this evening, but certainly willing to hand them off to someone that makes those shards their home. Looking forward to running on Torch tomorrow, that’s my main playground as well. Will be a good stress test for my traveling play set up. Seems to work fine in the instance maps but can be laggy in a heavily populated zone.

It’s almost the perfect set up for the tour now. 4 US shards and a euro visit. Back in the old days it could be a couple months before the tour made it back to your home server. Especially when your home server was Triumph, which I loved, but really became a bit of a ghost town towards the end. I may have never gotten involved if not for the tour. That spawned the birth of Brutal Thursday’s to run red side teams and eventually got me to put together the occasional Arachnos Friday Night Jamboree and Hootenanny for all veat teaming. No worries about moving characters, SG issues and the like. Play your favorites when the touring gypsy tanks roll thru your town or make an alt and join us gypsies. Whatever works for each person but the tour will spread the love and keep that first week of the month on excelsior kinda special.
-
My vote goes to the traditional start times so we can try and include as many folks as possible. Also all in favor of getting the tour going again. Something like this?? 1st Tuesday-Excelsior 2nd Tuesday-Torchbearer 3rd Tuesday- Everlasting 4th Tuesday- Indomitable Special weekend run for Reunion/Europe. I made a starter TankHQ base on reunion when I made my baby tank there a week or so ago.

Warboss!!! I think we are still feeling out what is going to work. I missed the first couple of runs and still have to iron out how I am going to play while traveling for work so I might miss a few. We had been starting at 8pm central time (US) but I am up for moving it up an hour if it works better for everyone, honestly wasn’t sure on the exact time of the original. we have had a couple tanks from the Far East side of Canada that might welcome a slightly earlier start. Personally, I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely like to revive that aspect. The tour is what got me hooked on the event when you all showed up on Triumph back in the day. With the smaller number of shards I think it would be easy to do. We also have been running every week on excelsior. Spreading it out on the other shards might help avoid potential burnout on excelsior. I am open to whatever the consensus is for the time. All tank hami raid sounds like a nice challenge. Did we ever try an all tank rikti mother ship raid?

Yeah, bit of an awkward start with the server hiccup but still a good night. Two teams running dual Posi 1’s was a nice reminder of just how fun TF’s can be on Tanker Tuesday. I Wittied again on our team... TankHQ global is up an running. TankHQ sg has the foundation in (Thanks Bo’Tanika!). Looking forward to next week. Should have at least on group doing Posi #2.
-
Hope to see everyone tomorrow as Tanker Tuesday returns to Excelsior. 8pm central time at the Independence Port gate in Kings Row. If you don’t have a tank on excelsior, why not?? Get crackin and create one!

@PSLAnimal, running my main of the same name as Justice's Sexiest Tank. Now this guy I remember! Mostly just had a couple of Tanks on Justice for TT's. I wish I could remember which ones they were. @PapaSlade then...@PapaSlade now

Started on Triumph when COV came out and was my home server for the duration. Played mostly red side with the Revenants: Sebastian Slade Cassandra Slade Moria Slade Hannibal Slade Mr. Brownstone Murder Machine Johnny Wildfire Granny Longlegs and several others seeing more than a few names I remember. Hoping to see Bloodhorn, Electraline, Phantom Cobra and many more. Its great to be back

Was finally able to join back up for this on Tuesday and it was great. Finally found these forums too. Nice to see some names I remember (Impish Kat and Myrmidon) To answer some of the questions: There was the previously mentioned Tank HQ sg on Justice and we may have had the same on a couple of different servers but my memory is a bit foggy. I am all for creating one on each of the shards as we try to grow the event back to its former glory. If there are no objections, I can at least get them registered and we can go from there, but I will defer to the founders on that. TankHQ was the old global chat, I believe that has been re-established. I need a refresher on how to join/invite to a global channel... We meet in Kings Row, next to the Independence Port Gate. There is a wall along the sidewalk that everyone would hang out on while teams formed up. This may get tricky with the smaller zone pop caps, we had three of us in Kings when the zone hit full and had to move to Kings Row 2 to get everyone in the same spot. Start time is 8pm Central (US) We seem to be based on Excelsior at the moment, but I would hope we begin to tour again like the old days. I had a tank or two on every server back in the day and did the same when the city was reborn. Bonnie Balderdash got 5 levels last night (started at 12-finished at 17) just running the Midnighter Arc. Leveling can be done pretty well just by attending TT's. I immediately made another Tank (Dark/Katana) after we finished up just to have another option on excelsior. Did I mention it was great to be back?!?!
-
Did you folks also run a Girls of Hang'em High on the red side. We had a relatively lively coalition with them and the Furioso's (sp?) back in the day. I was part of the Revenants with Bloodhorn, Electraline, Phantom Cobra, Daughter of Diablo and others. I started with Mr. Brownstone and the Slade family (Sebastian/Cassandra/Hannibal/Moria) but moved on to a ton of alts on multiple servers. Ran a lot of Tanker Tuesdays, Brutal Thursdays and the occasional Arachnos Friday Night Jamboree and Hootennany for all VEAT teams. Playing on all the shards here but have the majority of my peeps on Torch.
