  1. If you hadn't found the HC launcher yet, it's here https://forums.homecomingservers.com/installation-guide/
  2. Ello, would you like to come inside and have a nice cup of tea with me and the missus? I love ❤️ these gloves 🔥and would like them in game if possible and with the option of being tintable, if they could be tinted/color changed. Maybe as an unlockable reward for doing a task force or strike force. I thought that they may be similar to spectrum on part of the creation of the gloves.
  3. I have no idea why I keep calling her sister A - The Sister Valeria arc, it's nice. The maps are cool. The colors are my favorite, It's a nice introduction to the bad guys that are in the elite Imperious TF and the buffs they get, but it's a nice option to be able to do the arc. I like the caves they're super cool graphically. The AV's in it are fun. The dialogue is consistent. Good job - I like story content, that was nice to play. I did make suggestions elsewhere but that's just noticing things.
  4. Hi, just a bit of information on mythology, and I definitely could have missed how Sister A is a visiting Valkyrie to Cimerora somewhere From CoH Lore: "Players step foot upon the ancient land of the Roman Cimeroran Peninsula, where they battle deadly creatures, defend an ancient city and ultimately come face to face with the enemy of time itself. Throughout this journey players uncover the mysteries of power and the origins that guide them today. Cimerora itself is a peninsula in the ancient Mediterranean that was formerly controlled by the King/Emperor Imperious. However somewhat in its recent ancient history, one of Imperious' men named Romulus Augustus usurped power from Imperious and took the throne for himself. Using powers and aid from an unknown dark entity, Romulus has summoned ancient beasts, legions of men, and erected a single great fort over the majority of the land where he plans to constantly strike against the gallant Imperious." Finale is titled Ride of the Valkyrie; Valkyrie, also spelled Walkyrie, Old Norse Valkyrja (“Chooser of the Slain”), in Norse mythology, any of a group of maidens who served the god Odin and were sent by him to the battlefields to choose the slain who were worthy of a place in Valhalla. Hel (Old Norse Hel, “Hidden;” pronounced like the English word “Hell”) is the most general name for the underworld where many of the dead dwell. It's presided over by a fearsome goddess whose name is also Hel. Norse mythology is the body of mythology practised in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Denmark) DIfferent underworld/hades/versions of Christian "Hell" https://www.britannica.com/topic/hell/Greece-and-Rome starting with Greece/Rome covers a few different ones at this link though.
  5. It also dislikes ☮ and a few others like ¯\_( ❛︠ ͜ʖ ︡❛)_/¯ doesn't freeze up the whole computer just the game usually or does a you have been forcibly removed from etc. when entering the base after putting those symbols in a bio.
  6. Hi , I know it's make believe but, Long time avid mineral collector here over 40 years, obsidian doesn't really form crystalline shapes. It's hardened magma It sometimes forms a mineral called "Apache tears" those are round, Obsidian, It also fractures super easy on Moh's scale of hardness, not that hard of a mineral. Past civilizations used to make arrowheads out of it, probably spear heads as well but dunno about that because of the hardness scale if it would have been efficient and held up well for spear heads. The current nictus dark crystals, those are similar to calcite (that's a mineral) like hexagonal crystals - they're nice pretty. (not that hard) thought you may want to know. https://geologyscience.com/minerals/obsidian/ If you make up more lore around rocks you may want to check this online magazine out or this can actually tell you what areas certain rocks are popular at/in. https://www.mindat.org/ Better language if you want to use obsidian would be "These weapons look to be forged with obsidian like mineral fragments in the metal."
  7. [1518.1 311.1 5028.7] This is the location in Cimerora on Phoebas Point They're embedded in the wall, looks very uncomfortable, has asked me to come notify the developers as she would like to go take a nap and have a chai but can't at this point because her legs are embedded. Thanks 🙂
  8. I remember seeing something about you rolled a (whatever it said) in the combat log for battles.
  9. Thought of this playing tonight on the Yin Task Force. Right after the cut scene in the council mission (2nd mission in Yin) Where this dialogue goes: NPC] Robert Alderman: Don't do this! I never wanted to cross the Council! [NPC] Robert Alderman: Task Force Aftershock! Please! I'm sorry, for everything! Help! [NPC] Ascendant Archon: This isn't your business. The Council will handle bringing Clamor in. I thought of this. My character is Mathilde so I just copied it from the team menu. Mathilde: this is where I would like to choose my loyalty Mathilde: or at the end of this mission, do I choose to infiltrate the reactor and help Clamor or do I continue to defeat her Mathilde: i think the vigilante/rogue settings would make a lot more sense if that was possible. *As a note they make sense now, I think they would be added to if we could use them for something as an option. So like this is the idea, I'm going to use the Yin tf as an example:; (you can make a new trial/task force or even maybe a few missions like tips but call them something else - though I'd rather see them as a trial.) Up to a certain point you and your team or super heroes are fighting as is, saving the world a little bit at a time, but little do your team mates know (cue suspenseful music) that you're related to Clamor and voila' at the beginning of the next mission up pops an option and you choose whether to betray the team that invited you to defeat Clamor and fight for clamor (you get tp'd to where Clamor is or at least closer to her) or you decide to remaining fighting for your team and battle the baddies until you defeat Clamor at the end. Something like this happened as a bug on live, a team (team 1) went into a Frostfire mission and had other peeps show up in it that were from another team (team 2) but they were conned (Team 2 as showing orange) as an enemy and the original team (Team 1) ended up wiping them out. I remember this because I read something like (not verbatim) a responder to the thread from eons ago, said another team shows up and instead of reporting a bug or exiting you destroyed them? So Maybe---you could re instate that bug, if they ever found it on live, and have access to that (or maybe recreate it or something like it) and voila' you have a little bit of the programming anyways for the special trial that you'll make. (seriously have no clue if that's how programming works & I don't need to know that unless you're bored and want to explain it but you don't have to.) So maybe not this exactly, maybe something else and you use the Rogue/Vigilante as a way to fight in the city another way. However - no badges associated with it for awhile until peeps are familiar with it. Sometimes I'd like to run around as a Hero turned vigilante but have the option to visit the Rogue islands and kick some villain butt. Maybe I'm a Dirty Villain and feel like being a little cleaner and would rather run around as a Rogue but then I'm with the heroes and I'm like nah let me go back to being a dirty villain because that's my norm on my character. Or it's just another option for fun in the game.
  10. Vigilant - Chest, Legs, Boots, Gloves. I like these it took me a minute to get used to the shading on the boots used with two colors because it's different than the way the other colors work. I would like to see layer stripe glove options (a few of them) I like that pattern a lot. I am unsure if capes can be edited but that would be nice to see the new patterns on. Love that rocket book fx can be tintable - looks great Nice! that the Aeon gloves can be tinted Warp w/FX' option added. - It looks really cool and even more so when flying around, nice job 'Carnival' chest texture added, I like the way it looks on the neck on my characters. cool. You've done a really good job with the costume pieces - Thanks
  11. I really like the mini costumes! they are both funny and the idea of them - cute. I would like to see a Hamidon raid with a bunch of minis. The blob costume aura is nice with the bubbles and energy coming off in the aura, it looks a little bit brighter with my invul tankers powers running so I like that powers are able to affect the hologram costume settings.
  12. The light behind the hologram vendor in the vault buildings in regular zones is in my opinion too bright. Is it possible to remove that?
  13. Freaklok - neat option & fun to run around on. Going through some of the first tier options there was no more aggro weird stuff going on, I toggled on the Rikti costumes and ran through the first mission with powers both off and on and got recognized. I'm assuming that it would be cool to get Mind powers and become a defector Rikti Priest running around, like I can see the costumes fitting into the game for some people. They're a cool option, they may not be for everyone but so far I like them.
  14. The enemies were a little puzzled by what was happening. I was wearing the Crey Cryogenicist costume on a random hunt in Talos (on a level 50) and after defeating two in a group some of them ran around and away some fired on her and one of them the freak enforcer just stayed where they were. (picture) When I turned off the toggle costume they all ran away and looked back at her some fired shots some just ran - except the one that ran to the hospital police drone and disappeared.
  15. "but can also be obtained over time from first Weekly Strike Target completions on a max level character or purchased from other players." I like this part, will it be through auction house? I see on beta that someone has been able to purchase two at this time. Will the be stored in special salvage? Also this was fun to fly around with I'm still testing out the tier one costumes to see if they can travel okay with fly/test aggro etc with some of them.
  16. I don't believe that this is working as intended, so I am reporting it as a bug: The character creator Broadsword back sheathed swords not allowing for the + zoom option in character creator, when I click the + sign to zoom in to see details, instead I am getting the fighting stance pose, it defaults to that pose with every sword. This is on a HC live shard created character that I transferred over that is level 50 on Brainstorm. As soon as I click the - (minus) sign after having the powers activated/fighting ready stance + bug active it goes back to the neutral pose with the weapon again on the back. BS/Bio Scrapper Sonje - Dragon Warrior level 50 - I did not end up doing any chances to her costumes after this so she is still default without a sheathed weapon. (attached picture) On doing character creation on test of a new character, I was also unable to zoom that character - as it just exhibited the same results this character was a new BS/Bio Scrapper
  17. Thank you, I thought it was the star and up settings, I botched the settings the first few attempts and didn't understand until hopping on late last night after seeing this.
  18. Love this so posting it: 5. DON'T GIVE FEEDBACK ON OTHER PEOPLE'S FEEDBACK. You're here to discuss and debate the changes with the devs, not each other. The devs are big people (Huge, even) and can stand up for themselves. Fort Trident: Suggestions - In my opinion* LOOK ALIVE, PANTY-WAISTS! WE GOT A BONE-FIDE HERO ON DECK!!! YOU BUNCH OF SLACK-JAWED, DIME-A-DOZEN, DONUT-GOBBLING, MUFFIN-TOPS BETTER HAVE ALL REGISTERED AS FIRE TANKERS BECAUSE WE'RE ABOUT TO BURN THE EVER-LIVING CALORIES OUT OF YOU!!! Language and meaning - (slang meaning) I * do not feel that this is appropriate slang/wording for this game. Please look up the meaning of panty waist. It's Derogatory and it's a gender specific insult. BONE-FIDE is spelled Bonafide (unless you are trying to do something around annunciation in game from that specific character by typing/spelling it that way) donut gobbling muffin tops - when they are all fit looking characters that are exercising. In my opinion - that is just nonsense and affirms a mind set of body shaming, it's out of style and propriety, in a progressive era that we live in. I don't care if the game is centered in the past it's not that era anymore. * Suggestions on some of the dialogue from heroes within Fort Trident: Manticore: Currently says: I'm glad to see you've been able to keep yourself safe. Fighting the good fight, have you? Good. It makes things much easier knowing that there are others as determined as us to keep fighting crime. Suggestion: Mimic his in game cadence/dialogue and style. His dialogue here has a different way than the Fort Trident this is from his task force: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Manticore_Task_Force Current dialogue: Synapses: Howdy! (name), right? I've heard of ya! Been doing good work is what they've been saying! Glad to have you hanging out with us down here. Sometimes you just gotta blow off some steam, don't ya know? Comments & suggestion: In the Fort Trident version he sounds like how the man on the Repair Shop William Kirk. I don’t think it’s a bad thing, maybe change his past content to become more similar to what you are now making him become, so it’s consistent, or match them up in game and have it match the older style posted in the link for his current task force dialogue. This is how he is historically in game: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Synapse_Task_Force
  19. I love the ability to have weapons on the back, (first picture) if I can figure out get a few more things on there I can do a sister to the Agnes the Trash lady in Labyrinth that had all of that stuff on her back. This is my DB Tanker with a Mace and Backpack and butt cape. Thank you, I think it is a nice option for weapons costuming, all of the Dual blades are going onto the back on my tanker, as is the mace, seeing the Rularuu eyes on the swords and mace move it's eyes around is actually cool & amusing. (second pic) So far they're all groovy looking and any clipping isn't something that is unappealing visually.
  20. I saw the exclamation in red when I logged into Beta yesterday and I think it's very noticeable as a player on log in and it would be something good to implement. Suggestion - Closer to the time of implementing it as a non warning but impending action- send out an email to your player base accounts, letting them know, so at least they're informed and may save complaints later on. If that is possible.
  21. "Characters at Level 50 can no longer earn experience towards the Veteran Level rewards (Veteran Badges, Incarnate Threads, and Empyrean Merits) from Architect Entertainment content; this does not apply to Incarnate Slot Experience which can still be earned in AE." This is my feedback around this, before I start: Quoting Number 5 posted in the other thread: 5. DON'T GIVE FEEDBACK ON OTHER PEOPLE'S FEEDBACK. You're here to discuss and debate the changes with the devs, not each other. The devs are big people (Huge, even) and can stand up for themselves. From here: . (Posted the above because - I felt it was necessary) Going to channel my inner Vizzini. I dislike the idea of not being able to earn incarnate XP and rewards in AE, some people dislike doing regular content in the game and grinding those same story lines. Farming is no different same story line over and over. I think that it will just push people back to farming the Dreck map or other things in content vs. AE eventually. Then it's grinding again - so don't think that's your motive. I'm not a farmer but have a farmer if needed and have no issues around how people play the game if they like to farm, there are farmers who make farm maps, content and then do time challenges to themselves or in groups, it can help some people to have the familiarity of something like a farm in games. It's how certain players, play the game, they make it what they want it to be. So I don't think controlling your player base and hate of farming is your motive. A good amount of people in request/LFG when running incarnate groups require a certain +3 or +4 incarnate level shifts, also those are often requested in Tin Mage/Apex. Definitely have to have Alpha open and people can run through the Imperious TF or AE for those shard/threads merits. On live I didn't want to grind to get to play a certain part of the game, that didn't make sense to me. (not talking about other peeps here) For me - I did not want to spend hours running through PI radio missions/task forces (again & again when I already had been through them) I could see on live the take on running content over and over on a player base, the more time peeps spent in game the longer a subscription would last and the more profit a gaming company could make, but this isn't a for profit. So you wanting to torture your player base isn't your motive. Using the breakdown of merits in the market/buying things with merit/shards as a healthy market is a good thing. So online gaming market manipulation isn't your motive Question - Do you have some future changes coming that you are going to use the Incarnate Merits with, so you don't want people gathering (possibly hoarding) a bunch of those through farming? Will incarnate veteran level affect a future planned/goal or update? If you do not have some basis for the change - even if we don't know what it is, behind removing the rewards that makes the game fun for some people. Then I think the developers should leave it alone.
  22. "Enemies that are beyond the cap *will not* pursue players that move out of range." Thank you I like that I think it will also help in regular PVE groups when teaming. I think this is good as I understand it (could be off on that though) "It is also periodically re-evaluated instead of being locked in. This should prevent scenarios where an aggro-capped tank tries to taunt enemies off an ally and the taunt is completely ignored." I target team mates when on my tank and try to taunt aggro off them, if they're dying and hope that they are targeting their aggressor that's making their health go down. This will be good for when I get aggro on my tanker but maybe have one that fits the scenario above. Guessing that it would possibly catch that one as long as I am not at aggro cap and even if I may be that it grabs one during the re-evaluation.
  23. I would recommend that it be possible to get a 'flashback' version of this task force set up or ready to go in the Ourborous without the nictus elements to their attacks, to the villain groups in this task force.
  24. Since I play content and don't afk farm like on a spine farmer (yet) like I think the other people are mentioning that they possibly do, I think it's a good idea. I didn't even think of AFK farming reading your post, just when the others mentioned it. I rejoined the game on HC a bit ago and I remember when the game mechanics seemed (in my opinion) focused on making game play easier/enjoyable for peeps and also balanced. It's not meant to be like real life, so what if peeps are afk getting tickets? for realz. Then they can craft recipes and make their characters more fun for them with the salvage that they get. Also it increases the potential for market recipes, it increases the market economy but providing more stock. I don't see it as a problem. I think it's a good idea. It's a game.
  25. People play in a lot of different ways. There are players that are maxed out with ios that high defense and damage that go in and kill groups before a tank would even get to them. I've done Task Forces/Strike Forces where there is no tank for the AV's or EBs to hold aggro. I've done all corrupter ITFs where there has been no tanks. Tanks aren't necessary to beat missions and task forces. I've been on my tank and had scrappers draw aggro away from my tanks unless they have + accuracy slotted. There are tanks that just feel moot at this point and are just doing their thing, I noticed when I started playing usually groups of two players running way ahead and taking on mobs while the rest of the team kind of fended for themselves. It takes a little bit to get used to but as long as peeps aren't causing team wipes or my character to continually be defeated and using wakes I usually ignore them and team up with the ones that are close by. I also have dealt with players who kill most on the maps leaving everyone else to clean up things as they come along, I've also seen new player tanks that I think may be doing mostly AE that go in and run by three mobs and expect all three of those mobs to follow them (like in AE when a tank/brute solos mobs and people wait by the door) and then they are just unaware that the cap for aggro is 16/17 and that their team mates are going to be getting aggro as soon as they attack the group they come across without a tank to grab aggro. I don't think anyone is doing it to be offensive, I think that they just have their own play style. You could try leading a team and just set guidelines for how you want the team to be cohesive from the beginning and you'll ask people to leave if they don't want to do that. Then they can choose whether or not to continue with your team and playstyle.
