  1. I literally just log in 2 accounts at lvl50 and go to arena, rest and have the other char attack on auto. For mez use a hold or stun. Slot accordingly for damage+accuracy, make sure diminishing returns is off as well as set bonuses, resist bonuses, etc. Pick a heavy hitting slow recharging attack (1000+ dmg every 8-9 seconds)
  2. I'd usually be all for 1 server but even besides Astralock's explanation I feel like it wouldn't make sense to literally have only 1. You can easily talk me into 2 though. And I'd def be a proponent of combining two current servers but nobody is asking for that. Of course you would have char name issues and such. That said Live never combined servers unless I'm mistaken? NGL I kinda wish they had though at a certain point.
  3. I kind of like this idea, paring MM primaries w/ armor so Necromancy + Dark Armor or Ninjas + Ninjitsu, Demon Summoning + Fiery Aura that would be pretty cool. Maybe replace the 3 MM attacks w/ melee. I know there is one private server that made Knights summoning and the MM's attacks are Axe attacks from Battle Axe essentially.
  4. This happens when refreshing to check server status too.
  5. nobody said that, this thread is a hypothetical of what YOU would add or want in a sequel. I would want different tiered respec system. plenty of other people got the thread, its a for fun general discussion topic. What would you want in a CoH sequal? I started off the thread with what I would want, its not hard. What would you want?
  6. exaggeration "What would you change or add in a City of Heroes sequel?" feels pretty straight forward to me, everyone else gets it
  7. One of my favorite things about Champions Online. I made a Kangaroo hero w/ giant feet, long legs, huge thighs but tiny t-rex arms and very small upper body. In terms of powerset I made him a kicking machine.
  8. Yea I think they could do a lot in regards to Origins. Not only story or mission related and how your character is referred to but I would expand on origin related power and animations. Example if you pick Alien Origin your granted a ray gun w/ special fx. If you are Natural Human you get a improved version of Brawl. If you are Undead maybe a unique revive or even better idea once you HP bar hits 0 you get an extra 5-10 seconds to act even though you've ran out of health before actually dying. Small things like that would be cool to make your Origin feel more important and thematic.
  9. Riot does a pretty good job of making their games for the intended audience. What I mean by this is they have made a digital trading card game and it caters towards people that play card games. They have also made a tactical Counter Strike/Overwatch hybrid FPS and it absolutely is for people interested in that genre of game. Another example is Riot is working on a fighting game codenamed Project L, that game is being developed by a bunch of fighting game people and their goal is to make a game for people who enjoy fighting games. They also realize not all of their games will be the huge insane hit that League of Legends will be which is why a game like Legends of Runeterra their card game is much smaller but they still support it heavily as a live service game with frequent updates and new content.
  10. In December 2020 Greg "Ghostcrawler" Street, VP, EP at Riot revealed that Riot was working on an MMORPG and he was leading the charge. For those unfamiliar with Ghostcrawler, he worked at Blizzard from 2008 through 2013 as Lead Systems Designer on WoW shipping 3 expansions and was a very transparent and visible dev during this period of time for World of Warcraft. Greg joined Riot in 2014, over his 9+years at Riot Games he worked on League of Legends as a Lead Game Designer and became Design Director, Head of Creative, VP of IP and Entertainment and eventually VP and EP. Now he is leading the MMO project at Riot w/ many other MMO vets. Riot has a website dedicated to recruiting for their MMO. While the game is very far away Greg Street routinely talks about the MMO and its direction on twitter, he asks questions such as what players are looking for, etc. I'm not going to list everything that hes talked about but I will share some youtube videos where people have gone over some of this stuff. HERE is an interview w/ Greg Street aka Ghostcrawler Force Gaming Talks about Riot MMO and his thoughts. Ryve Genesis did an indepth look into the information we have so far. A follow up video by Ryve Genesis. Necrit's video on Riot MMO Anyways there is supposed to be some news, probably small news dump regarding the Riot MMO and some of its other upcoming games before the end of the year. The game is far away I wouldn't expect anything playable before 2025 if I'm being honest but Riot has a ton of money and they do not rush games or push games that will fail. Greet Street has said numerous times they will cancel the MMO if they need to. Riot has cancelled many R&D projects/games in development when they deem it necessary. On top of that Arcane the animated show based on LoL/Runeterra Universe was a huge hit and introduced the world of runeterra to a lot of new faces. An MMO is a great way for new audience, where as current League of Legends is kind of a turn off. IMO if you havent played LoL by now you never will because of the type of genre, very multiplayer and competitive heavy. It lacks single player, story driven and rpg elements that an MMO would absolutely sell people on. Here is a link to an interactive portion of the Runeterra map In fact while I have played my fair share of LoL I stopped a while ago because I no longer cared for the gameplay of MOBAs. I do like the world setting and characters of Runeterra but League gameplay leaves a lot to be desired especially if you are no longer a teenager focused on micro/macro and a high APM. This is one of the few MMOs I am keeping an eye out on, the other being Ashes of Creation. I was slightly curious about the Jack Emmert Marvel MMO until it got cancelled.
  11. Oh I think everyone is in agreement that time bomb needs to be changed/reworked. It feels so bad leveling up a character and not selecting their tier 9 because of how useless it is. A huge part of the game is getting that lvl up and picking a new power, Time Bomb negates this so much because of how bad it is. EDIT: I have played on another server where they swapped out Time Bomb for Gun Drone, I dont think its a perfect solution but its a good bandaid temp fix. My preference would be a power that adds something unique to Traps whether its a AoE Taunt-bot (that PoptartsNinja suggested) or a strong single target Beartrap-like power w/ some secondary effect like end drain. Time Bomb literally worst power in the game imo and its not close.
  12. I would attempt to increase the customization for enhancements system by allowing more special enhancements that alter/change powers... For example a set bonus or proc that allows your Emp single target Heal Other to heal self or vice versa. Imagine slotting a proc/set that allows Experimental Injection to be used on yourself OR a proc/set bonus that turns Healing Flames into an AoE Team Heal. Basically give enhancements/set bonus/procs that can give your Tank powers support aspects or your Defender more selfish options. A way for an Illusion controller to give allies Superior Invis, an option for a Stalker to turn his Hide into an AoE Team Stealth, a Tanker can put his own shields on allies, etc. It would blend the lines between AT but allow for more customization within builds and more reason to have multiple builds for a single character your "Supporty Tank Build" vs "Solo Tank Build" there obviously would be tradeoffs numbers wise your Healing Flames doesnt do 1000 self heal anymore instead it would do 500 for up to 8 people or something along those lines.
  13. Yes and I think those are flaws in the system exacerbated by power proliferation. Certain sets may not have been balanced for certain ATs, the small value changes dont necessary compensate for the synergy of primary/secondaries, AT inherents or increased damage ect. Which is why I think many sets were AT specific originally, like MM not getting access to Kin for the longest time. I talk about Traps cause its my favorite powerset, I've played most any type of Traps character and on Live you could never play Traps Con even at the end. When I finally did play Traps Con it felt so much better than Traps Def. The aoe holds synergize amazingly well with Traps. But like you said its not really a Trap specific thing its that most sets are not balanced individually for each AT.
  14. Released just now: Take the Poison Nishikyu Deep Pression HDMI Trapsmaster' Traptilia Ms Newb Ooty Hhhhsss Unroolie
  15. Would be cool if there were a plains/fields farm-type country area. No buildings or trees, maybe a couple of giant moving futuristic portal corps farm tractors you can jump on, perhaps they could be part of an event where they take damage from some mob attacking it and will stop moving. Basically a kind of payload you must protect so portal corps or maybe even the city can get their crops/resources or some such. it would be sunny and bright, lots of grass, crops, cornfields, maybe a bunch of cows/horses/pigs and poachers you could run missions protecting crops and the land, maybe their is a group of evil scavenger gold miners or oil diggers that wanna destroy the land for profit.
  16. Bored in the early morning and this came across my mind as I was contemplating respecing for the 100th time. Different types of tiers for respecing. NEW: Complete Character Respec. Reselect both primary and secondary powerset choices within your AT along w/ all slots & power pools/epics, ect. Meaning you are AR/Dev Blaster and want to change to Elec/Elec. This respec option would require you to be lvl50 and be very costly, maybe a new type of end game crafting/reward system or Incarnate TF related. A Timeline Change TF that affects you type thing. NEW: Secondary Powerset Respec: Reselect your secondary powerset within your AT along w/ secondary slots. Requirement: lvl50. Very similar to the previous option but less costly (maybe half cost or a third) only for your secondary and the slots used within, epic/power pools not included nor their slots. Traditional Respec: The same as the current form, nothing really changes. NEW: Full Slot Respec: All slot choices are respecable, power choices are not. You like your powers but wanna redo your slots, this is the respec for you. Unsure of the cost I'm leaning more towards recipe. NEW: Respec Five Slots: Perhaps you made a mistake, misplanned or changed your mind on a certain power and/or set bonus, ect. Cheap cost, perhaps 25 merits. This is technically more costly and less efficient than a Trad Respec or even Full Slot Respec but the idea is you making a tradeoff and are paying for convenience. and finally NEW: The One Slot Respec: Do you literally only want to move one slot but are too lazy and tired to redo the whole thing well this is just for you! The cheapest of the cheap, 5 merits. Anyways its 5am, this is kinda for fun post but also slightly serious. I do think alternate respecs would be a nice addition/feature in a CoH2 if the current powerset/slotting system stayed in place.
  17. Thanks for posting these but my issue still stands, I feel like these 3 differences are not enough to warrant playing Traps Def over Traps Con, Traps MM or Traps Corr. As a primary I feel as though Def should get some shorter cooldowns across the board, as well as increased regen on Triage and potentially increased radius of specific powers such as TB, FFG, PT. That said I don't think Traps for any AT is particularly high on the list of sets to buff/rework/change since its unpopular, fairly unique combined w/ the amount of resources being limited. Just my 2 cents.
  18. Just released these: Nipsy Muscle Tactician Technician Groov Super Duper Guy Two Trapsmaster. Em Bi Son Uno11 barrage boy Evil Uno Evil Uno2 Nibel Test3245 Captain Conflag Nibelheim2 Nibelheim
  19. This is a solid idea. Honestly almost anything is better than current Time Bomb.
  20. Small suggestion for MM /Traps would be allow Detonator to work on FFG, Acid Mortar and/or Seeker Drones. That way you don't have to sacrifice a henchman (kind of a big downside to a power that has long cooldown and big end cost) and it also allows Detonator to be used within its own powerset instead requiring a specific power from the users primary set. Kind of a bandaid fix w/o reworking the entire power, gives the player options.
  21. I've edit out the "passive" part.
  22. On the topic of /Traps and Procs is there any Interface Incarnate that is beneficial to Trap powers? I'm guessing no but am curious as I have never unlocked anything other than Degen or Reactive.
  23. Ah I see. Thanks for the response.
  24. I think they could add a few more badge related accolades/powers especially since the badge total has increased. When I say a few I mean 2 or 3 at most, also I think they should be a combination of specific badges similarly to existing accolades and not a total number of badges like 100 or 500 like I saw suggested earlier. Making it a handful of badges is reasonable for most players and characters regardless of level ( yes there are a few exceptions) but making it 100, 200 and 500 or whatever is too much. Example Regenerator Defeat 100 Trolls bosses Hydra Stomper Complete the Death from Below Sewer Trial On the Shoulders of Giants Kallisti Wharf and the Digger History Badge gives you a small self heal power 10% or 15% on long cooldown like 10 minutes. Something to that extent, another possible passive/stat boosting accolade for a diff set of badges could be a small Endurance Reduction bonus like 2.5%. Honestly I like the idea of accolades you can earn through low level content to help you along your way that at a max lvl will likely be less useful.
  25. City Info Tracker aka CIT is/was a website SCORE used to track all account based data such as characters, influence, xp, salvage, enhancements on an account based level but also character based level. A transparent png or jpeg image of each character were available for each character profile. There was a search function for not only your characters but every character in the databased. You could search via char name or global names. You could customize your profiles to show which info, did you want your salvage private or public, etc. You could hide all your chars or just specific ones, it was up to you. It showed what badge name, title and sg each character had. There was data on your account such as how many of each AT you had and powersets. There was also global data that showed how many of each powerset combination existed on the server, etc. You could see your auctions, badges, different costume slots from this website it was pretty in depth overall and really useful. You didn't have to log into the game to track certain things and it totaled up things like Inf and Rares, across your whole account so lets say you have 1m on 7 different chars it would show you had 7m on your account. It also had a character list menu that you could sort like char w/ most influence on your account. I am surprised there is nothing remotely this in depth to this point available to HC. Unless I'm missing something.
