  1. I like the concept and a new buff/debuff set would certainly be welcome. That full Power Boost effect with 3 stacks could be a bit much but I'd like to see it in action before passing judgment. An Arsenal/Field Commander troller sounds like a lot of fun! I'm assuming this would be for Trolles/Fenders/MMs/Corrs? I can really see it being great for MMs.
  2. I built your Dark/Dark Brute a couple years back, it's a super tough brute that I really enjoy playing! I won't say I've never died on it but death is quite rare indeed. Great build! On topic, I don't think I've run across anything that is straight up not viable, do you have any examples OP? Admittedly Brutes are not in a great place. IMHO they are viable but they aren't the best at anything so it can be difficult to select a Brute over the other Melee Classes. I'm not sure how to fix that.
  3. It would be nice but I wouldn't hold your breath, this has been asked for since way back on live. My guess has always been that the live devs didn't want to have to genericise an army of Cyclops clones and now on HC it would need mostly new animations which seems to be an area that the HC Devs are unable or unwilling to expand upon.
  4. It's a good arc for sure! I start it often (to get Siege for Dimensional Warder) but only finish it occasionally because of the length. I really agree though, it's a nice nostalgia hit and change of pace! Also, if you need to farm some wolves for Atlas Medallion, the Shadowhunter mission has you covered! The "Check out the Asylum" mission is painfull though! Not that the enemies are bad, I just get stuck on every dang one of those curtains and lamps they filled the halls with!
  5. I also think Sents are best for this task because their Thunderous Blast can be up every 25-30 seconds (less if a couple FF procs go off) and that plays a huge role in the sapping of end!
  6. I recently finished up an Elec/Elec/Elec Sentinel that was the destroyer of all blue bars! Really fun to play sapper!
  7. Very good point, the immob is hugely beneficial! You'll hit a spawn with Charge up, Thunderous, Short Circuit and Ball Lit and anything that isn't dead will 100% start running. The epic/patron pools also some great powers in them beyond the immob. The single target melee attacks and the singles target holds proc out really well and can do some serious damage!
  8. I'm certainly not against an Insect MM set, that sounds like fun! However in my brain, bugs = bad! I make every effort to not kill them but I also don't want them anywhere near me. Even a butterfly, they look awesome but the thought of those gross little legs crawling over my arm skeeves me out. Now a wolf, even though it could rip out my throat out and feast on my organs, I wanna hug it!! So i'm on board with the suggestion but I don't necessarily agree with the premise that what we have is inherently "bad" or that insects are more "neutral".
  9. Oh, I'm currently leveling one of these and having a great time with it! Only lvl 32 so far but it's pretty nasty! Your build looks pretty solid! You have some extra AoE def so I might pull 2 slots out of Evasion and move 1 slot to Enduring for a second Performance Shifter and move the other one to Health for a Numina. (I hate having end issues on a toon, ymmv) I attached my build but its a leveling build so you wont find any purps, superiors, plused out IOs or Incarnates. edit: 1 more thing, try to get tough and weave into the build as early as you can.   10. Just a quick update: Since finishing the Elec/Elec, I've finished a Fire/SR and and then rolled right into an Elec/SR. Needless to say, I have new respect for Sentinels, they're freekin awesome!

    Electric control is pretty light on damage, maybe pair it with Storm or TA to get some damage out of your secondary. edit: oh or Traps!
  12. Sleep Grenade from Arsenal is also a pulsing sleep. I think that and Static Field are the only examples in the game that re-apply sleep once its been broken.
  13. I'm sure this isn't the answer you're looking for but I'd say whatever toon you're spending the most time playing or having the most fun playing. I don't think I'd start a new toon with the intention of dipping it in gold if I didn't already know that I really enjoy playing that toon. The toons I go all out on are my favorites, Ill/Rad troller, fire/dark troller, arse/ta troller, elec/shield scrap and stalker, ss/rad tank, fire/fire blaster, ect. I love all those toons and I'd recommend them to anyone but who knows if they mesh with your playstyle.
  14. The Lag was awful but it's a cool event in small doses. I don't like to powerlevel my toons so I avoided it with anything but 50s but I'll miss unlocking all my incarnate slots in like 30 min!

  16. I have 9 lvl 50 set out Scraps. My favorite to play by far is the Electric/Shield followed by the Axe/Ice. Both of these combos can struggle in early levels before your defense is filled out and Stamina can also be a beast to conquer but once they start getting set out and begin to bloom, oh boy do I feel like an invincible whirling dervish of destruction. Elec/Shield probably isn't topping the DPS charts but it sure does top the fun chart for me (unfortunately, the combo is even better on stalkers)! Axe/Ice does some stupid damage and the crit proc goes off fairly reliably. I also played an Axe/Ninja, that had a smoother ride to 50 but I feel like the Ice has more benefits at 50. Strangely, I love Battle Axe and War Mace but kinda hated Broadsword, felt super "meh" to me.

  20. Other folks have offered some great info! I'll just say that I got my first AR blaster to 50 not too long ago and I was shocked at how awesome it was! I went AR/Tac Arrow, you can stay at range 100% of the time. Build in a little ranged defense and hoverblast and you should be good to go. I also have a DP blaster and it's just kinda fine, not bad by any means but it doesn't really stand out either. I found the AR to be more effective, ymmv. Sentinels, I've recently discovered, are so badass! However, I think it may be an error to compare them to blasters. They are far more comparable to scrappers that just happen to have ranged attacks. I tried playing a sent like a blaster and I was super underwhelmed and abandoned the AT for a couple years but I got some great advice and started building and playing them like a scrapper and it all snapped into focus and they became insane fun and super effective! Currently leveling a Fire/SR that is very hard to kill and has a Nuke up every 24 seconds! Try both, they play very differently!
  21. You can get the nuke recharge down to a point that lets you use it every other spawn to eliminate everything except bosses and a couple near death Lts. Admittedly that means you have to keep a non-nuke strategy in your pocket for every other spawn but then you get to vaporize the spawn after that again. Alternatively, run with a Blaster buddy and alternate nukes to utterly demolish anything in your way!
  22. Eliminate all crashes on T9s Remove Group Fly from the game and give pets their owners travel power. Pets spawn even level to their owner. Increase base storage by 50% Increase coalition limit as high as possible (infinite?) Fix/expand league controls Purge Max (sorry Max, nothing personal but I hate seeing the pop ups) Allow converting of Hami-Os/D-Syncs Instanced Hami Raids Statues in my honor
  23. I don't have an Ice secondary blaster so not sure on Shiver but Frost Breath is skippable. Bitter Freeze Ray could go either way, its fine but has a long activation time.
  24. I prefer a Blapper style blaster, the melee attacks are very strong and really increase your damage. However you're still a Blaster with Blaster HP so if you jump in and you happen to get hit by a boss and a lt in quick succession, you die. The classic Fire/Fire makes a great Blapper. Fully range Blaster are way safer but give up some measure of damage potential for survivability (or in some cases, a power combo just has no need to enter melee). Both are entirely viable and just a matter of preference. Assault Rifle/Tac Arrow make a great fully ranged Blaster. Try em both, they're both fun!
  25. Hit 50 with this guy a couple nights ago. Finished with Automated Villainy and Miss Francine at +3/+4 x8 and mostly breezed through it. Then we unlocked Incarnates and jumped on a Mapserver event until everything was unlocked and I managed to get at least a T1 into each slot. I asked you guys for something fun and efficient to level up that would make me say "I get it" and mission accomplished!! I'm sure there's more nuance to learn but I had so much fun with this toon! Thank you for the build advise and perspective adjustment! The next run will be a Fire/SR with my buddy playing a DP/Energy Sent!
