  2. Hrm, then that shouldn't be a problem. You should be able to contact Marchand there. I recall on Live - the last time I ever played Praetorian - that your first alignment choice matters, and all alignment choices in Praetoria afterward are secondary, If you didn't start as a resistance member, you can't do undercover work with Calvin Scott, and if you didn't start as a Loyalist, you can't do undercover work for Provost Marchand. But that's not the case here - you're initially a Loyalist, trying to do undercover work with Marchand, so it should be working.

But hey, in case anyone has never seen a spambot and doesn't know one looks like or what to do... If you see any posts from a brand-new registered user with obviously copypasted text, irrelevant content, and a bunch of random links, do not reply or click any links under any circumstances; the health and security of your computer is at stake. Instead just click the "..." in the upper right corner of the post, and click "Report" from the dropdown menu. Spambot posts tend to look like this: Note that those aren't links, just facsimiles of them. If you did click a link in the post, kill any tabs that pop up as a result (close the browser entirely if you need to), and do not click any popups or dialogue boxes the link gives you, even if they look like your virus scanner, malware scanner, OS, or other programs. If it asks for your login information, do not enter anything - just close the tab or browser immediately. Even if it looks exactly like the forum's own login page. You may want to purge your browser cache and do a malware & virus scan, just to be safe. I know someone's going to say that it's obvious, but you'd be amazed how many times I've seen people fall for these scammers.
  4. Actually it's a bit deeper than that. See, nearly all of the powers available at P2W were initially Veteran Reward Powers back on live, given out to those who maintain a subscribing account for long enough. Originally, you had to have an account of a certain age, but that was changed when the subscription system was overhauled and the game went freemium. Here, we don't have a subscription system (we can't, NC would assuredly sue), so instead we have a different way of "paying to win" to get these powers - good ol' in-game inf, and lots of it. However you do get a few freebies. Specifically with powers that can't be revoked, like the Prestige Sprints, it's because of how they're implemented. The Nemstick, Blackwand, Sands of Miss, Naruto running, Bootleg Targeting Drone, Avengers Assemble and all of those are implemented as prestige temporary powers; temp powers that are actually permanent. The Prestige Sprints are implemented as inherent powers, like the actual Sprint is, which has two big differences - one, it makes them slottable, and two, it makes them kinda hard to remove from a build without royally screwing it up. And that's why the Prestige Sprints aren't revocable! Yet.
  5. The reason is NCsoft rarely ever sells properties. In their dysfunctional asinine corporate culture, anything they get their hands on is theirs and they'd rather bury it than sell. They did the same thing with Auto Assault and Tabula Rasa. It's why they forged Richard Garriott's name on papers releasing him from his control over Tabula Rasa. In NCsoft's twisted worldview, he was trying to exert too much control over something that was "theirs" and they wanted him gone, but couldn't get it done legally because - love him or hate him for it - Garriott won't abandon his creations until forced to. This is why getting owned by NCsoft is an inevitable death sentence for any IP; it might extend its life in the short term, but once they get their talons on it, it's only a matter of time before it gets shuttered and squatted on, like a dead carcass being picked over by a flatulent vulture that's too fat to fly. As their short-lived MOBA proved, NCsoft will even make flop media just to extend their ability to hold IP rights and prevent anyone from challenging those rights. That's all Master x Master was ever intended to do.
  6. Certain prestige powers can be revoked to take a different one. You know that basic temporary power based on your origin that you get when you start the game? You can turn that in and pick one from a different origin if you like. So you could, say, swap out Taser Dart for Apprentice Charm or Throwing Knives. The Nemesis Staff, Blackwand, Sands of Mu or the Ghost Slaying Axe can also be turned in to change up your combination of 3 prestige permanents attacks. This is useful if you decide, say, that you don't want Sands of Mu anymore and would be better served by taking a Blackwand in addition to your Nemstick (or vice versa). You can also turn in one of those prestige movement powers (Beast Run, Ninja Run, and Athletic Run) and select a different one. Same thing with the Power/Shield buff pets, so you can replace a Light Fairy with a Power Oscillator, if you wish. There are limitations to it - as the game tells you, you cannot revoke the Prestige Sprints once taken. In addition, as @Major_Decoy pointed out, you also don't get any inf back for a revoked power if you actually paid for it. It's most useful early, for switching up your freebies.
  7. That's odd. This character is a Rad/Atomic Blaster, and I color my powers similar to what you do. Everything else appears blue, including the defense debuff effect from my primary set, but specifically the Gamma Rays effect shows up green. Should I get some screenshots?
  8. ... is none an answer? Because I don't watch streaming stuff at all. I don't even have a television. I mean, technically I do but it serves as a monitor for my desktop PC and my Switch when it's in docked mode. That's pretty much it. If I want to watch something, it's either on Youtube, the Internet archive, or somewhere. I just have to dig around a bit to find it. Like, I'm currently enjoying Showa Ultraseven thanks to AvaNaf's channel on Youtube. I block ads (seriously, UBlock Origin and Decentraleyes on Opera is pretty great for squashing youtube ads, even the mid-video ones. I see a Youtube ad maybe once every other week.) so I don't have to worry about struggling with Youtube Premium. I may not be able to watch something the moment it comes out, but hey, there's perks to not being an early-adopter. At least that's been my experience.
  9. Part of the reason I pointed out the level limitation was a case of, well, ignorance on my part. I was operating under the assumption that once a Praetorian character converted to a Primal alignment, they would effectively stop being Praetorians, aside from some mission flags and existing badges. I wasn't aware that the flag was persistent throughout the character's life. It was @AboveTheChemist's post that made me realize my mistake. So, I'm sorry about that. I was a fairly avid badger on Live. I only ever had one Praetorian, however. So when it comes to badge changes, I'm pretty invested in seeing them done right. I don't like lazy changes to badges, such as proliferating badges across alignments carelessly. I want to be clear; I'm not against the addition of more Day Jobs to Praetoria. With that said, porting them over in places where they might not fit well, or leaving in unfitting names or badge descriptions, is something I vehemently oppose. That's what I was afraid was being proposed here. I'm aware - for the most part - of what the devs can do. But I don't know them beyond reputation, so I can't predict what they will do. For all I know, if enough people support a sloppy cut-and-paste job, they might go "hey, easy request" and do just that. That's what I want to prevent. I've seen that on other servers and I despise it. So now there's no questions of my motivation here. I think it'd be a good idea to establish just what a good Day Job badge port would look like. My basic criteria would be: Earned in a logical, lore-consistent location. Has a name and description that fits its location, lore, and alignment. Fills a gap in that alignment's Day Job availability, and either is an equivalent for badges on other alignments, or has equivalents on other alignments. If the badge is aligned, and obtainable by more than one alignment, its name and description must change to reflect its owner. Must be obtainable, in some form, by every alignment, otherwise you create an imbalance for badgers. So just as an example, @Frozen Burn's original idea for a "Reactor Worker" badge isn't something I'd support, unless it or a variation of it was also made available to both Heroes and Villains, since there's no equivalent of it for the other alignments. Porting "Commuter" to the CTA terminals across Praetoria would be fine, so long as the Praetorian version mentions Praetoria and the CTA, instead of Paragon City's monorails. Villains can't earn it directly, but they have an equivalent in Pilot and can earn it as a Hero or Vig and then switch to get the villain version, so it's fine. I'm waffling a bit on Clubber being added to Studio 55. If Studio 55 didn't have a portal to Pocket D inside of it, and Pocket D didn't already have an entrance in Nova Praetoria, I'd support it a lot more. As it stands, it's at most 1 extra zone transition. I don't feel that's too much to ask. Plus, no other alignment can get Clubber outside of Pocket D, so it'd be inconsistent to allow Praetorians to do so. As far as adding Law Enforcer to the PPD precincts, that's still not something I'd recommend. Sure, not all the PPD hate your guts, but enough do just because of class friction that stepping on their toes and trying to do their job for them is going to cause some confrontations. Yeah it might be in-character for a Powers Division member to bully the PPD, but that's not something to make a habit of. Eventually, someone's going to ask the hard question of whether this is just Powers Division being Powers Division, or deliberate interference, which is treason. Even if you're Resistance, mucking with PPD like that is going to draw the wrong kind of attention. Y'know the Seer kind. If you're Resistance, Vanessa can protect you from most of it, but you don't want to invite enough suspicion to earn constant attention. Either she'll slip up, or you will, and then you end up in the BAF getting visits from all the wrong women. It's better to not make waves topside unless you can be gone by the time someone gets suspicious. Powers Division isn't immune to the law; they just get a lot of leeway with it. Heck, even being ex-PPD or being on good terms with the higher-ups isn't a guarantee of being welcomed. Warrant catches crap from the rest of the PPD, and he used to be one of them until he joined Powers Division.
  10. Okay, I knew that Praetorians started with certain badges, but I wasn't aware that their Praetorian status persisted once they took on a Primal alignment. That, at least, solves some of the problems, since a Praetorian retains that flag throughout their character's life. We know that a Praetorian character, even one converted to the Primal alignments, will continue to earn the Praetorian version of any badge that has a Praetorian-specific version. It also opens up the possibility of cloning badges with different descriptions or even names for the 'same' thing. So there could be a Praetorian copy of the Commuter badge with the description changed, or it could be given a whole new name. With this knowledge, so long as we stick to direct equivalents, directly porting Day Job badges to Praetoria would be easy. There's still the question of where to put the locations for them, of course. Indirect equivalents though (like the Commuter <-> Pilot pair) would still need some hammering out; since Praetorians can't stop being Praetorians, and non-Praetorians can't become Praetorians.
  11. Again, it's a matter of determining whether an appropriate location already exists. Looking at the badge description closer, I could see getting Commuter at the CTA, since you just have to travel the rail system rather than help operate it. But I couldn't see Law Enforcer, because the Praetoria Police Department absolutely does not want you in their day-to-day business. Sure, Provost Marchand wants Powers Division and PPD to work together more, and there's cops that appreciate it when you step in to rescue them, but Praetor White absolutely does not care if you bust their heads so long as you don't embarass the Division (he says as much in his story arc), and just walking by most officers on the street is liable to get them either calling you a freak, threatening you, or feeling threatened enough by you to demand that you back off. In even the most accepting members of the PPD, they see you as having your job, and them as having theirs. You aren't welcome to play cop at their precinct. I see lore as a valid reason for a badge to not be granted at a certain location, because lore reasons determine whether those locations are plausible or not. And honestly, I think you and Frozen Burn feel the same way, even if you don't realize it. Let me give some context and an example or half-dozen... Step back and ask yourself, "why is it okay that villains have day jobs that are unique and not available to heroes?" Well that's because heroes have mechanical equivalents with different names and descriptions, earned in different locations, all for lore reasons. All of the 'unique' villain day job badges have a mechanically equivalent version heroside and vice versa. Smuggler <-> Shop Keeper; Demagogue <-> City Official; Arachnos Agent <-> Law Enforcer; Arachnos Official <-> Dimensional Explorer; Crey Employee <-> Intern; Pilot <-> Commuter. The only differences between these pairs is where they're earned, and that's largely because of lore reasons - such as their names and badge descriptions. They could've totally had the day job for the Arachnos Fliers be Commuter instead of Pilot. Mechanically, the fliers are the closest thing to the trams in Paragon, and both Commuter and Pilot have the same rewards to begin with. But they went the extra step and separated them into two badges with different descriptions that don't even mutually cross-award one another when you switch alignments. Why? Because it wouldn't make sense to award a badge for riding around the trams in paragon for flying an Arachnos VTOL for Lord Recluse. There's no mechanical reason; only lore and storytelling. Then there's Day Job badges that are earned in the same places on both sides, are earnable by both sides, have the same rewards, but have different names and descriptions. Those are Banker <-> Thief; Caregiver <-> Pain Specialist; Day Trader <-> Marketeer; Patroller <-> Criminal. Architect; Fashion Designer; and Professor. And finally there's the badges that are awarded to both sides irrespective of alignment, most of which are associated with cross-alignment locations: Architect, Chronologist, Cimeroran, Clubber, Cold Hand of Death, Duelist, D.U.S.T. Ranger, Fashion Designer, Midnighter, Monitor Duty, Mortician, Predator, Professor, Psychologist, Scavenger, Survivalist, and Vanguard Recruit, I know this has been a lot to read so here's the TL:DR up to this point: There's a lot of deliberate work that went in to making sure that the badges that award to everyone regardless of alignment have names and descriptions that make sense regardless of alignment. Even more work went into the badges that switch names and description based on alignment. Entire new mechanics were written for badges that switch names when you switch alignments, but have a completely different badge as their equivalent on the opposite side. The "it's just a game, lore doesn't matter" excuse doesn't fly, because there's no mechanical reason to do this extra work in the first place. So for Day Job badges that don't make sense within lore for Praetorians, come up with Praetorian equivalents. Fashion Designer is supposed to exist in Praetoria, judging from the fact that the Day Job Recruiter NPC mentions it, but there's no areas properly flagged for it. Probably because the only dedicated tailor in Praetoria, Rita Mayfair, stands outside instead of being indoors. I'll agree that they should have an equivalent of Commuter at the CTA stations, but possibly renamed and with a description that doesn't reference Paragon City. Similarly, an equivalent of Clubber could be given at Studio 55 and the Loyalist Lounge, with the mention of Pocket D removed from the description. Though this would make goldside the only side that gets Clubber outside of Pocket D. Also it's worth mentioning that there's a portal to Pocket D within Studio 55 (it's under the stairs leading to the upstairs bar). Setting aside the friction between PPD and Powers Division, Law Enforcer has a description that specifically mentions the Paragon Police Department. You could change the description for Praetorians, or have an equivalent; perhaps "IDF Reservist" located at the IDF base in Neutropolis. City Official might make sense placed at the Cole Tower in Nova Praetoria, but its description specifically mentions Paragon City, so you could make the badge "Bureaucrat" and change its description for Praetorians. Dimensional Explorer and Arachnos Official both don't fit for Praetorians who haven't left Praetoria, but there are Construction Sites in Neutropolis - the Praetorian equivalent badge could be "Foreman" with the description noting that flight packs are given to Foremen responsible for managing the Clockwork at these construction sites to prevent accidents. Alternatively, @Frozen Burn's "Reactor Worker" could be made an equivalent of this. @Frozen Burn, your "Reporter" idea, located at TPN, would make a good equivalent for the Hero Intern and Villain Crey Employee badges. There's a reason I bring up the level range. Every Praetorian character will have to be converted to a Primal Earth alignment sooner or later. Which begs the question as to what happens with all of the equivalent badges up above, if they're implemented. Do they convert over to their Primal alignment equivalents? Are they renamed to reflect Primal alignments, like Hero and villain Day Job badges do when you switch? Since you can't convert to a Praetorian alignment once you leave them behind, how would those badges be handled? Can you just no longer get them once you leave Praetoria? Can you still earn them on Primal Alignments? There's a lot of questions that would need to be answered here; some hefty considerations especially for the badge hunters among us. Possibly some mechanics that will need to be coded. Praetoria's not a full game experience, like the Primal Alignments are; that's why the changeover to a Primal alignment has to eventually happen for every Praetorian character. You could in theory keep a Praetorian alignment to 50, but you're not intended to; its dedicated content ends at 20, and its available content ends at 35 at the latest. It may be less work for the devs and less painful for the Cottage Rule to just leave things as they are. At least, until Praetorian alignments can stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the Hero or Villain alignments fully.
  12. The Gamma Rays effect from combining Negative and Positive powers on a single target doesn't recolor to match the powers used. Is this a bug or working as intended?
  13. I'd see the argument for this if Praetoria was a complete 1-50 experience, like Paragon City and the Rogue Isles are. At it stands, it only goes to 20, 35 if you count First Ward and Night Ward. As a result, I see it as okay okay that Praetoria doesn't have all of the same amenities as Primal Earth, for lore reasons. After all, when you hit 20, unless you deliberately take pains to stay in Praetoria, you're going to leave for Primal Earth anyway, and you can leave Praetoria early and visit Primal Earth through Pocket D and Ouro. If you really don't care about lore, these badges are still available to you at whatever level you want to get them at. You just have to go a bit further afield to do so. It's basically a question of determining what locations are 'appropriate' or 'inappropriate' locations for a day job, and for this, lore's as valid a reason as any. For example, you take your logic to the other extreme, then Heroes should be able to get the Pilot badge: there's landing platforms for Longbow and PPD aircraft, like the helipad in Kings Row attached to the Police station. The only reason why you can't is because those spots aren't day job locations (game mechanic) the badge is flagged as villain (game mechanic) and makes specific reference to Arachnos fliers in its description (lore, and the reason it's flagged as a villain-specific badge). Even if you were to insist that it only include nonhostile arachnos fliers, there's still the landing pads in Warburg and Siren's Call that Heroes could potentially camp, or they could switch alignment to vigilante and visit any of the Arachnos Flier landing pads in the Isles.
  14. Y'know, forget what I said previously. Because not only is Praetoria supposed to have Day Jobs, there's even a Day Job Recuiter NPC in the Magisterium. So yeah, apparently Praetoria has an official in-universe Day Job system. Honestly I feel it could stand to be Praetoria-flavored a little better, perhaps framed as volunteer work for the good of Praetoria, but that's just a matter of rewriting dialogue. There is this bit though, which is a tad concerning. I don't have any objection to him telling me about Day Trader, but a loyalist in the center of the Magisterium probably should be a little more discreet about discussing things going on underground. After all, the average citizen isn't even supposed to know anyone lives under there long-term. That said, there's a few reasons why I could see a couple Day Jobs not being present. Law Enforcer PPD and Powers Division really don't get along. You're kinda one or the other; not both. Most PPD would resent some Powers Division punk coming around and doing everyday police work; they'd see it as stepping on their toes. Commuter If I remember right, the CTA transportation system is totally automated. There's really nowhere for a Powers Division volunteer to work. Shop Keeper All vendors in Praetoria are manned by Clockwork. There's really no stores. I could also see good reasons for a couple Day Jobs being added, in addition to the ones shown in the image above and the ones @Frozen Burn put forward in the OP. City Official Location: Vicinity of Cole Tower, Magisterium, Nova Praetoria. Smuggler Location: Docks on the West Side of Imperial City -OR- Ship below the bridge in Neutropolis. So, Praetoria does have Day Jobs, just not all the ones you might expect. Some for good reason, others not so much.

  16. I can get behind this, especially if the timeframe is user-selectable. Even if it's not, I vaguely remember that it's possible to enable timestamps on chat messages. Perhaps auto-timestamp any messages that occurred prior to your login?
  17. Tiltowait's favorite first... would easily be his first hug. It was a pretty everyday situation. A woman walking the sidewalk, headed home from work at store in New Thebes. A Freakshow scumbag taking notice of her and deciding to make an impression. An unwanted pickup line, a firm refusal, an attempted grope, a swung handbag, and soon she was fleeing from her life from an enraged garage cyborg who was steadily gaining on her. Fortunately for her Tiltowait spotted the situation from the air, and descended on the Freak with all the grace and subtlety of a cruise missile strike. As Tiltowait picked himself up and left the Freak whimpering and twitching in a shallow crater, he dusted himself off and asked the woman if she was okay. The response he got was a heartfelt hug. Tiltowait froze up; he'd never been hugged before. And now he was of two minds on it. Now Tiltowait had heard of hugs. A weird gesture among humans consisting of a gentle squeeze with the arms around the other person. Ward had explained the concept, and a couple of Midnighters had explained the particulars but... honestly it seemed a little dumb. It was squeezing, something you do when you want to keep things together, not blow them apart. He was thoroughly uninterested in the idea until he'd experienced one. It was warm, affectionate, tender. Comforting. Soothing. For a brief moment even Tilt's boundless hyperactivity experienced a touch of serenity. And would wonders never cease, he liked it. The woman was taken aback a bit by his how Tiltowait tensed up at first, but he quickly reassured her that nothing was wrong. Just that hugs were a new experience. Then she apologized for taking something precious from him and he had to stop her because she'd given him something precious instead. She'd changed his mind entirely on the experience. Tiltowait mulled over the experience for a while. The Midnighters had explained that hugs were just a bit more personal than most interactions and shouldn't be given out lightly, but wow did they ever feel good. As a result he looks for any opportunity to give hugs of his own, because they're just too good not to share. They're a little bit tight and boisterous, but heartfelt. He is circumspect enough to ask if they'd be welcome first, but he is very enthusiastic about giving them. Since becoming a Personification, hugs have become #2 on his top three things, right behind explosions and just ahead of pizza. Mmm. Pizza.
  18. It's true, but it's also a fact that Praetoria does have equivalents of many of the systems in Paragon City and the Rogue Isles, such as badges. Heck, it's so comparable that the Medicom system in Praetoria is 100% compatible with that of Paragon City with no modification necessary. A Praetorian can leave Praetoria, come to Paragon City, get their head kicked in and wake up in a Paragon hospital just as easily as any native Primal Hero, all without so much as a registration process. Similarly, a Praetorian can come to Primal Earth, and any badges they earned in Praetoria are entirely carried over, including badges specific to Praetorians such as "Praetoria's Son/Daughter". The question then is whether Day Jobs themselves are appropriate to Praetoria, which reveals possibly a second explanation as to why Praetoria doesn't have Day Jobs. Day Jobs reflect your character doffing the costume and going in disguise to work a job as an 'ordinary' citizen, or doing volunteer work while not on the job. In Praetoria, every person with powers is part of Powers Division. You're not a sanctioned vigilante, you're a part of Praetoria's military-police-state complex. Having an actual 'day job' would be difficult and inadvisable - you're always expected to be on duty. Volunteer work, however, would be far more acceptable, even laudable; after all, you're voluntarily putting your abilities to use to better the lives Praetoria's citizenry, in even the most mundane respects. That's good PR if I ever saw it. So... IMO day job badges could exist in Praetoria, but they'd have to be named and flavored to reflect how Praetoria would see that activity. Once a Praetorian moves over to Primal Earth, their badges could either be converted to the equivalent Primal badges, or left in their uniquely Praetorian form. That's my take on it, anyway.
  19. This is the reason for my first question. I don't really know what affect there is to it. I'm not entirely certain how the reputation system here works. I don't seem to have lost any reputation despite the thumbs-down reactions. I also really don't care too much about the reputation system as a whole, though I do use an individual post's reactions to get an idea of its quality and opinion over it. As for how it affects me personally, not much at all. If I suspect someone is thumbing me down simply because they're petty or hate me personally, that's a problem for them. However, it is mildly irritating to see. I can simply stop paying attention to it if need be, I just want to know if there's any possible further consequences to mass-downvoting, and what to do if it's something that's actionable. Thanks for the clarifications and reassurance. I appreciate it.
  20. So, I'm not going to name names here, just in case I'm legit wrong. However, I've spotted a user that seems to be systematically going through my posts and adding thumbs-down reactions to them, even in threads where this user and I have never interacted, and the suspect hasn't even participated. Further, I might not be the only person who they're doing this to, as I've seen a lot of thumbs-down reactions applied similarly indiscriminately by this user to other people. I'm not going to speculate publicly on the reason why. Now, if the person were harassing me via posts or messages, I'd just slap them on my ignore list and be done with it. In fact, I've already done that. However, reactions are something you can't place on the forum's ignore system. With this in mind, I've got a couple questions: Is this actionable harassment? Or should I just stop paying attention to it? If it is, what's the proper procedure for reporting it discreetly so it can be dealt with without drama? What steps should I take to safeguard myself against this in the future that I'm not already doing?

  22. Looks like this power isn't applying its rez invulnerability correctly. City of Data shows that its invulnerability (the Untouchable effect) lasts 15 seconds, but is only applied a quarter of a second after the power starts. Assuming, of course, that I'm reading it right. And I think I am, because looking at another self-rez power, Resurgence from Willpower, that Untouchable effect gets applied immediately. That quarter-of-a-second delay might be what's allowing you to get hit, if you get hit with an alpha the instant you click the power to get up. I've noticed that it only seems to occur on Renewal of Light and Return to Battle, too. Seems oddly deliberate that it's only occurring on those two prestige selfrezzes, but not on other native selfrezzes. Not sure if bug or janky attempt at balance that's WAI.
  23. Tiltowait almost didn't survive his Coalescence. Tiltowaits are powerful spells. Even the least of them can collapse mine tunnels or blow out an entire floor of a building. Most Tiltowaits have to be combined with protective magic to prevent them from being a suicide spell, and to limit their destruction to a useful area. As a newly Sentient Spell, Tilt was a bad, bad combination - excitable and highly explosive. Imagine a stick of dynamite that explodes of its own volition, can explode repeatedly, and has the personality of a hyperactive puppy and about the same level of self-control. That was Tilt. Tilt was unapproachable at first. He'd rush up to anything that he spotted and explode. Thankfully newly-Sentient Arcana are weak, so he wasn't quite the "Nuke it until it glows" level of devastation typically associated with Tiltowaits. Still, he was dangerous and indiscriminate in his 'attacks' and this got him into trouble with literally everyone - Resistance, Loyalists, Carnival of Light, Carnival of War, Black Knights, Drudges... anyone in line of sight of him was liable to get explosively tackled. A lot of these groups had plans to simply kill him from afar before he could blow up on them, and the Arcane Council of the Animus Arcana seriously debated just letting it happen, seeing him as too dangerous to train or educate. It was a passing Primal hero that solved the problem. Endowed with nigh invulnerability, she offered to go play with the overly-affectionate little bomb. And thankfully, she succeeded in tiring him out. Much like human children who play hard and then stay still a moment, Tilt fell asleep, allowing him to be taken back to the Midnight Mansion, where he'd be safe, and the rest of Night Ward would be safe from him. Of course, the prospect of him waking up and blowing holes in the Manor would definitely be a problem. To that end, Dispel Magic stepped in, using his abilities to suppress Tiltowait's ability to explode until he could be taught that exploding hurts the people he's trying to befriend. This was the first step in Tilt learning right from wrong, and it's what helped him develop a conscience. It's also the reason why Tiltowait and Dispel Magic are quite close. He never really got the chance to thank the hero that helped him survive his 'childhood' or even learn her name. One of the reasons why he wanted to go to Primal Earth was for the chance to find and meet her.
  24. My apologies, I missed the "to aid teammates" in there when I read it. I read it and I thought, "reverse cosmic balance already exists, it's Dark Sustenance." My mistake. Kinda wondering if it's bit too strong, given how powerful it'd be compared to HEAT inherents, but then again, basic ATs tend to have stronger inherents than Epic ATs to begin with.
  25. This would put their inherent uncomfortably close to the performance of the HEAT inherents without actually being HEATs themselves.
