I agree with this. I was soloing Tarikoss SF on my MM. Infernal could hardly hurt me, but kept running away, making the fight take sooo long. It wasn't in any way moer challenging, just tiresome. a Hero class enemy shouldnt run from a single enemy. -

The trouble with a free market is how stupidly GOOD farming is at making money..compared to anything else. Even a good lvl 50 incarnate team wont make as much as the hardcore farmer, fighting mobs of bosses, with the extra (so it seems) chances for great recipes vs the same bosses, bringing in even more money. That leads to big variations in what people are gonna be able and willing to pay. A friend of mine farms, and is totally cool with paying 5-10 per recipe for builds. That is for basically any 'good' IO set. Secondly, with enhancement converters, the 2nd tier IO sets, which are usually very good and desirable, end up getting snapped up by those same farmers, who can afford to pay way more than other people. Look at how cheap things like DocWounds and RedFortunes were on Live, before converters. You could get a full set of both for maybe 50k, if that. Now..quite often none will even be listed. -
But what WOULD they be? All the current accolades work just fine in pvp (mostly). Having pvp only accolades would just serve to widen the gap between the hardcore 'Io'd to the gills with purps and pvp set' crowd, and the rest. Although Id hazard a guess there is a lot less casual pvping now, compared to Live. ANd if the only worked in pvp..that is even less incentive for casual players to actually go out and get them (assuming they were earned via pvp?).

Just curious..how does it get exploited on MO runs? All it does is let you finish a tf faster. I mean, if that is an issue, disable travels/Ios on MO runs. Or do you mean able to zap to base instant if you are in danger of dying? -

Does anyone know the cooldown on Self Destruction? Cause that power is cheaaap. And Using it in mission, rez in base and then tping around is almost the same. Well kinda. Although I do recall it have a longish animation. -

Why do you always come off as a Richard? 5 mins was CLEARLY an exaggeration. Just saying. How is a base tp power an 'i win'? Exactly what is being won? Go on..I will wait as you come up with a super smart reply. Oh that's right..its just saving time. Not winning at all. No doubt you, having found out about the base tp macro, never used it. Not once. Cause you are clearly to awesome to save some time. -

Also..the Praetorian..what are they called..COmmanders? With teh TWO miniguns on their back. SOmething like that would be awesome, combining ranged and close blasts. -

But..why? Instant base travel is simply awesome. It means MORE time playing, less traveling. The game is City of Heroes..not city of running across ****ing IP for 5 mins. -

Just saw the new patch notes, with the snipe changes AND not Int in devices..again..why do we have it in any powers?

I love those DOm changes. ALso, totally claiming (even if it aint true) to have coined that Energy Focus buff in Energy Assault! Total Focus going from 3.6 to 2.5 secs is totally amazing..any chance on doing the same for Energy Melee/EnMap for melee and blasters? ESPECIALLY energy melee. With Devices losing teh Int from trip mine, any change Traps can get the same? And that Interupts as a whole can just..vanish? Also..Tremor, on Brutes/tanks. As well as Hurl. Tremor is just an AWFUL aoe. So slow, stupidly tiny damage, LESS than FootStomp (also a tier9 atatck, and FS gets Rage). -
Totally forgot that TP is interruptible! But considering that is nearly always used to travel or tp people to safe places.. Steampunkette..I agree the 'theme' of interrupting is pretty cool. But given how FEW powers use it..Snipes, AS (CAN you slot int into AS? Pretty sure you cant, which just makes it a normal attack you can 'stop,' the pool heals (which as I said in another thread, are pretty crap as it is) and teleport...see above. A theme that covers a whole 6 powers, being generous, is not much of a theme! That is less than an entire Powerset.

I agree with you about AssStrike..but that is kinda a separate issue. And with AS useable as a good, solid normal attack..it is still nice. I'd sorta say that is a separate issue. Also, your point about not being able to use Interruptible powers in combat..well..that WAS the idea behind them. But with fast snipes, and almost every team having Tactics going (to give fast snipes)..you CAN use them in combat. Without any penalty at all. Like I pointed out, the huge animation time and end cost of snipe powers is, in my opinion, totally enough of a penalty. I mean, if a looooooong attack like Total Focus (that has you hanging in the for 3 seconds) cant be interrupted..why should aiming your beam rilfe be? As for Aid Seld..why not make the recharge 60 or 80 secs? Recon is 30 secs at full rech, ever less with hasten/IOs. Another part of the 'trouble' with AidSelf is that you need to put at least 1 (usually) int enhancement in it..and there are no IO sets that cover that. AT least snipe sets get some Int built in. No idea about Aid Other..I think there could be, but so few people actually use it!

Maybe there is no such thing as playing Wrong..but there sure is such a thing as 'playing a toon stupidly.' Going to use an example I have seen on Torchbearer, whose name shall be kept under wraps. A fire/emp troller. Nothing wrong there, even though I dislike emp trollers, as they tend to do too much trolling, and basically no emping. His powers were fine but..NO fort, cm, or adrenline boost. Two of teh best buffs in game. Doesnt take em. SO I asked him..politely. ANd he said he didn't 'like' them.' Ok maybe he is new, or whatever. Then a month later I see him again, Vet level 56. 56! And still no fort or ab. Granted, maybe he truly doesnt like those buffs. But then WHY play an emp? Make a rad if aall you are donig is aoe healing (he didnt use the RA's auras on the entire tf, so I assume he doesnt 'like' those either). -
I love Traps. The support set that is, for fenders, corrs, and MMs. It is a cool and different set, but some powers could really use a tweak. For starters..Acid Mortar. On a corr this is -20% resist, and -26 of a fender. Why? Every other -res buff is -30 (sometimes but not all for fenders). The only different ones are nature (and that is such a quick recharging power anyway). It should be 30 for corrs and MMs, especially considering how less flexible it is than powers like Sleet/Tar. It needs to be placed, requiring you to be very close to a mob, can miss, can be destroyed (though hardly ever happens) and will not reliably debuff an entire mob. On top of that, there is NO red triangle effect, showing a mob IS actauly resist debuffed. Triage Beacon. The recharge on this, a tier THREE powers, is so long, as too make it basically useless. Combined with it being +regen (way less useful than the Nature patch heal, which is a tier5 power, and has a FOUR second rech)..it just does not help much. Cut the rech, maybe make it a pulse heal/absorb. Even with a +end pulse too, like the nature one. FFG. A great power. But it is sooooooooooooooo slow. I can outrun it jump with combat jumping and normal movement. ANd the fixed 4 min duration? Traps as a set..EVERY power it has is a click. Every one. I think only TA shares that (and I am not a TA fan either). Of all the traps powers, FFG should be a toggle. Keep it destroyable, to differentiate it from FF and Sonic, and make it MUCH faster to better keep up with you. Seeker Drones. A..nice..kinda..alpha power. But again, the rech is so long, and the stun is not even a sure thing. Even 'bad' aoe stuns like Thunder Clap are at least a guaranteed mag 2! This is another power that could be a toggle too..like orbiting drones that debuff acc and perception, which would also fit a trapper theme. Trip Mine and Time Bomb. They both suit the set, but are so similar as too be pointless. Either one should go, combining the two and making the animation NON interruptible (traps has way too many 'placing' powers as it is. Give the set a Gun Drone. It makes total sense for the set.

The enhancements, and the effect itself. Right now, there is only TWO powers that actually are slottable for Int (unless I missed one)...Snipes and AId self. Snipes don't need them at all. Most snipes have a 4ish seconds animation, which along with teh end cost, is 'penalty' enough. And now fast snipes are here, making the slotting of Int even more pointless. If you dont/cant get fast snipes, being able to get knocked out of such a lnog animation, costing end, is just silly. As for Aid Self...it is the ONLY self healing pool power we get. Almost no powersets with self heals would take AS, and none of those self heals (not even acc check heals like twilight grasp, for which an interrupt would actually make sense..but be awful) can be interrupted. Taking away the int effect on aid self would make it SO much better. Just increase the recharge to allow for this, or give it an unenhanceable rech.

Once you have your Incarnate goodies built, the salvage is pretty useless. T3 Everything is really all you need, with all the others being gravy. And those wont take long with 50+ leveling. But after that..it all just sits there doing nothing. Of course, some people will want to make EVERY lore pet etc..but most wont. How about a conversion for threads/emps/astrals to Reward Merits, in some ratio. And for incarnate salvage to Invention Salavage. Say 1 rare IncS into 5 InvS or whatever. Also I think its a bit of a shame that a Super Incarnate toon, getting all those cool powers, can;t actually benefit from them when lower than level 45. Not everyone Ios a toon to the gills, or boosts/catalyses every enhancement then have. So sub45, they really aren't getting anything. I was thinking a Mini ALpha..after the Well has granted you favor, favor that helps even when in the Time Stream (oro) or Ex'd down, just with a weaker influence than at 50. Maybe doing what your alpha is, but 15% max.

Let's not. For support sets, Storm is one of the BEST for damage. You get the -30% resist, and the damage from Lightning Storm and Tornado. You may be confusing BAD Stormies with the set 'being bad' in itself. The only change I'd make is letting trollers pick between Gale/02. ANd that wont happen.

Just like it sounds..let us have more than one. Either all over, or different body parts (like flame eyes, sparkley hands etc). I really want to have fireflies AND a blazing path aura (maybe the path auras could be tied to ss/sj?).

That is what Clarion is for. Sure, it is at lvl 50, but the a patron power version would be at level 44ish anyway. Not too mention full mez prot for ALL your pets, especially kb immunity, is just awesome. -
Only had a WS on Live and a baby PB, but getting rid of that awful KB would be awesome. Everytime I am on a team with a PB, i want to murder them within 5 seconds. I cant recall the rech an GranEm..45? But having SOlar Flare down to 20, base, seems stupidly good. Thanks like sub 10, with IOs, which is crazy. Perhaps some of the blasts or melees could have a stun tacked on too. Also..from building my own WS way back when, teh amount of slots is just..painful. Sure, IOs and hamis are a godsend, but considering the Form powers themself NEED slotting, then the attacks do..it seems a bit unfair. What if the Form attack powers start with teh amount of slots you put in said form. SO..Dwarf Form..give it 3 slots (that is default slot +2extra from teh 'slot pool'), then those dwarf attacks START with 3, and adding more 'costs' slots as normal. No idea if that would explode the game though.
