holy light power set..took parts from the space squids power sets.

Dont Know the wind/water and holy light just dropped a little while ago on one of the other server. I found out about it from a youtube video a few days ago. the holy light reuses the space squid attacks and sounds. there also a new power set of swords and whips. when leving that toon yesterday in a big mob it look like there was a fleet of jedi lightsabers attacking. If the code is stable for the new power sets i dont see why any new power set cant be added to any of the game servers.

try removing the nvidia drivers wit ha drive cleaner and then reinstalling and in the game if your monitor has a refresh higher then 60hz the game setting has the higher refresh setting. same for the default video setting in nvidia driver control panel. if your monitor has windows drivers see if there any updated drivers. if your mb has onboard video make sure your video cable on the gaming gpu. in the bios if your not using onboard video make sure it off. with windows 10 and the newer 64 game client some window 10 may have missing or old drivers i had to install. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

look at one of the other coh servers has new wind and whip power sets.

make sure the laptop drivers are up to date. if the laptop has two gpu one for battery savings and one for games make sure the gaming gpu is running. also check in the laptop bios see if there any video settings. when the 64 bit coh came out on my window 10 pc i had a missing file warning and had to install the newest update from microsoft to play. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2977003/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads

if your video drivers are up to date. try running the older 32 bit coh see if it more stable. the 32 and 64 bit has different min/max ram size when running. the 32 bit is smaller when running then the 64 bit. if your laptop has not had a memory upgrade you may be running out of ram when the game runs. your laptop if there no amd or other gpu in the laptop the intel gpu will share system ram and use it for video ram. so with coh and the os and any other program running you may be running out of ram. use crucal memory advisior see if you have an open ram slot and can add 8g of more ram. it be a cheap upgrade. the only other issue i can see is the laptop is getting to hot and locking up. try turning the eye candy down on the game. if it locks up try blowing air on the laptop see if more airflow helps. use a few tools like ccleaner and see what running at start up. you just want your anti virus and the game running...try killing or turning off things like skype and one drive at start up to free up ram.

try using a video drive remover and then reinstall the newest video driver see if the issue still there. if it still crashing it may be a run time file is damaged or out of date. with the new patch i had on my windows 10 pc install the 64 bit run time library.

start with the easy stuff. make sure your anti virus is up to date and your laptop is clean. make sure your anti virus is up to date. also some of the free anti virus sometime think coh is a virus and you may have to put in an exception for it. make sure your laptop drivers are up to date. intel has a free driver checker. if your laptop network drivers and mb drivers are up to date and the issue is stil lthere make sure the router firmware is up to date. check with the mods see what ports coh may use make sure there open or there an exception for coh in the router you use. on your router check it spec if it a few years old an and older n unit it may not have any cache ram for games and may be running out of ram when all the pc start using it. (or heat lock up). with the new launcher try the old 32 bit one see if there any change. if your laptop has a network port see if the error also when it hard wired.

ccleaner make a free tool spacey that read your hardware info. you can then post it here. also intel has a free driver check program that also will show your hardware info. also post your laptop model and we can google the info too.

if you start running the 64 bit of game you may on the fist time get a error of a missing file. may need to install Microsoft virtual studio 64 bit files. To save yourself some time now and ;atter use the microsoft free windows 10 restore tool. it let you make a bootable usb stick for free. all you have to do once a year is update the usb stick when windows changes the version of windows 10. also download and put the coh installer files onto a usb stick. also before you install windows 10 run intel free driver tool. print out the main drivers for your mb. download the mb chipset the sound card and network and video card drivers onto a usb stick. make sure there the newest drivers for your pc. windows 10 if it has your network drivers will install the drivers during the install and then on first boot register your digitial info with microsoft and then download any missing drivers that it can. after you install the drivers and reboot let windows update itself and install or make sure your windows anti virus is on and working.

Was at fenway park last night at the sox game. one of the other teams fan walks by where i am sitting and the name on the back of the shirt was "kraken". I start lol and my friends ask my why i tell them i paly a super hero game and one of the av is called kraken and spawns in a park. Open gl is api and newer windows and most new gpu card will run older games like coh fine. I'm running windows 10 fast ring right now and other then updating one file to run windows 64 my test rig works fine with coh. As a pc tech for a long time with a gaming machine you want a balance between cpu power and gpu power. you dont want to spend money for a top dollar cpu only to leave you buying a gimped gpu card. On pre built there can be two fatal flaws. One they dont use a standard size case. if they dont or it a very small itx/micro case then your stuck with the small video cards that dont have good cooling. The other issue is the size of the power supply in the pre builts. Most are cheap and low wattage. The new amd ryzen for gaming pc is not bad now for there price and performance. any of the newer inte l5 are also fine. with intel try and not use one of there cut down b/h chipset mb. Your gaming pc ram now should be 16g or larger. the days of using 8g for a gaming pc is over as these newer games get bigger and use more system ram. most new pc mb have 4 slots for ram. try and use one set of sticks to fill two slots to leave the other two slots as spares in case one slot goes bad. as ssd prices fall your better off using one tb as the main drive and then have a slower 4g or larger as back up in the rig. on the older hard drives for retail vendors like wb and seagate are slowly trying to go end of life with them. if you can wait then wait for when intel stop dropping older refresh of there cpu and drop a new cpu with there newer cores. intel has a bad thing where they change the pin counts on there mb so people with 2-3 month old pc cant use the newer cpu on there newer pc. The last thing I post about is how loud a pc can be if you dont build for sound on a pc. A lot of newer power supply are digital and have fans that wont come on intl needed the same for some of the asus gpu. the gpu are made to not sound like a jet airliner taking off. the last point is make sure that any pc you buy you make sure the cpu has a good cooler on it. the better the cooler then under load the cpu will stay cold and stay away from it max temp. the higher you run parts near there max temp you shorten there life. also your rig can lock up or become unstable. if you do fine a good deal on a pre built that only has intel or base amd gpu you can till you have the funds use your older gpu in the newer pc. if not there are good deals on ebay for older gpu as long as the card was not used for mining.

also look into the bios if it a newer laptop that has intel/amd gpu and a gaming gpu installed sometimes you have to change the power settings in the bios to swap ovre to the gaming gpu

if it an error of one missing windows file. i had the same error till i downloaded visual studio x64 files.

I made a toon to see if the issue is there. on the second poster it may be the floating lanterns that causing the power to trigger on or off or redraw. Saw the same flicking on a demond mm pet whe ni had ice powers and the demond was fire. with the cam pointed just right the mm pet was blinking.

if your laptop has intel or amd gpu and nvidia make sure the intel or amd gpu is turned off and only the nvidia gaming gpu is on.

make sure you run intel driver updater that free from intel make sure your chipset and other drivers are up to date. also check to see if the laptop bios is up to date. on newer laptop in the bios should be some power setting for the gpu or laptop. if set to power savings the intel gpu will come on and be used. on some laptops you have to have power saving set to off. with windows 10 now you should not have to go into the bios to turn video cards on or off just go under device manager to video chipset and click disable on the intel gpu then reboot. you should then see only the nvidia gpu.
