  1. When you're giving all you've got, and the boss hasn't even aggroed to you yet. 😄
  2. Hm. In a wide-open area, Group Fly shouldn't have affected teammates too much, as long as OP was fighting mobs apart from everyone else. But during, for example, the computer fight (with or without Rommy and Requiem), GF would have been disruptive. I don't remember what the radius is for GF, but if you can't be far enough away for it to not affect the rest of the team, especially during a boss fight, and you're asked to turn it off, better to do so. GF is certainly useful versus the Hami Seed, and during the Mito portion of a Hami Raid, and during the pylons and bomb placements of an MSR, but would be unnecessary for the Hami end fight or in the bowl. Before this thread, I didn't realize that one could not interact with Null during a TF. Maybe that's to prevent people from switching alignments mid-TF? (If someone switched to Villain during a TF, or to Hero during an SF, would they be auto-booted or would that crash the whole TF/SF?) Just wondering if it would be easier to allow Null contact during TFs than adding "Disable Group Fly" to Options, which has already been established as being difficult/time-consuming. Not that the devs don't have enough on their plates already. I guess the bottom line is uphold Wheaton's Law, be prepared to compromise when you're on a team/league, and if you can't do that, soloing is always an option.
  3. I'm sorry to have missed the in-game memorial. 😞 I remember G E Man from live -- we didn't team often, but I always saw him in chat. Rest well, G E Man. /holdtorch
  4. Oh MAN -- I wonder if I have any of that saved . . . 😛 Probably not, lol. I do remember Molly mting "Nothing says I love you like a pantload of spongecake", but there's a bunch more that my sieve-like brain did not retain.
  5. On page 12, and I'm still wondering ^. Also, in which TF was this outdoor mission? Just trying to get a better picture of how it all happened.
  6. Beam! 😎 Great to see you on the boards! Haven't run into any BoW folk in-game yet. Molly plays sometimes, too. Plenty of memories of goofing in BoW chat during mishes and TFs -- good times!
  7. You probably already know this, but just in case: if you do DFB (Death From Below), it will net you a few SOs at your level and origin. Run that a couple of times, then slot what you need and vend the rest. Also, you can sometimes find affordable IO set enhancements on the market, but the real key at lower levels is to buy them already attuned -- they don't cost more than the non-attuned ones, and they work for the full range of their level availability. For example, Bonesnap and Far Strike are available at level 7 but cap at 25 in terms of strength, and Cleaving Blow is available at level 7 and caps at 50, but of course they don't stop enhancing unless you exemp below 7. Buying pre-attuned IOs saves you from having to buy catalysts, and having a few of them slotted as you level can help things go more smoothly. You can swap them out with a respec once you get to 50.
  8. I would be happy with just normal stock elevator doors (maybe one silver and one gold?), but those are lovely! I especially like the one on the top right.
  9. I'm pretty sure someone has already said sand and sand dunes for Surfaces, but has anyone said elevator doors? Those would be nice.
  10. OK, so I went ahead and ran the Stephanie Peebles arc in Ouro. When I started the arc, I noticed that it's listed under the level 25-29 section, and the text says that "your powers will be limited to level 25." If 25 is too high to receive the power, it's weird that it would be listed as 25+, but whatever. I ran through the entire arc, and when I completed it, I got the Echo version of the Wedding Band power. So it seems like the game thinks I was awarded the normal Wedding Band power even though I was not. No idea what caused the power to not award in the first place, but at least now I have my answer on how running the arc via the Ouroboros works. Wonky is good way of putting it.
  11. So here's a new wrinkle to all of this. I was on a different toon on Everlasting, Anne O'Nimity, when I noticed that she was toward the end of Stephanie Peebles' arc. She had the mish "Talk to Long Jack" which I know triggers the final mish to defeat Heracles. Thing is, my toon was already level 25, same level as Jess B. Caws. I figured since I'd already outleveled the reward, I would just auto-complete the mish to clear the contact, and then I'd run the arc via Ouroboros. But here's the thing: after I talked to Long Jack and then auto-completed the Heracles mish, I called it in to Stephanie Peebles . . . and I got the Wedding Band power! (Wedding Band, not Wedding Ring; I got the term wrong.) So now I'm wondering if it was the level disparity between the mish and my other toon that caused the power to not award? I feel like a 2-level difference shouldn't have mattered, but who knows how that spaghetti code is written. I haven't run the Ouroboros arc on Jess yet -- I will do that, if for no other reason than I want to see what happens.
  12. I may go ahead and run the arc through Ouroboros. Since I didn't get the Wedding Ring power, I should theoretically be able to get it that way. Curious to find out if the game will read my having completed the arc as the same as having gotten the power once before, even though it didn't award. Thanks everyone for your responses on this -- I really appreciate it!
  13. I did check my trays and powers list and it's definitely not there. This ^ however is not something I had considered. I think the mission level was 23, but I had just turned level 25. I guess I thought that if I had the final mish, it didn't matter what level I was when I ran it. I can't remember if it was this way back on live, though if it's like this now, it probably was. I agree that this should be considered a bug, but who knows what it would take to change it. Thank you for helping me understand what likely happened.
  14. Also, this was on Everlasting, if that makes a difference.
  15. So, I just completed Stephanie Peebles' arc a little while ago -- defeated Heracles, got the mission complete and reward merits, and the message saying I've recovered her ring. I exit the mish and talk to Stephanie, but the Wedding Ring power was not granted. I asked in-game if the power still granted at the end of the arc, and at least one person confirmed that they had gotten it recently. This wasn't via a flashback arc. I was on my Dominator, Jess B. Caws. Has this glitch happened to anyone else? How can I get the Wedding Ring power now?
  16. *gives thread a wakie* Hello! I . . . don't post very much, but I thought I'd say hi in here. I was Heliphyneau on live, aka Heli, and my primary server was Freedom. 😁 I had toons on almost all of the servers, but Freedom was home. I see some other Babes of War folks have posted in here, so big wave to Nster, Libby, Neko, and of course hi Beam! (Sorry if I missed anyone.) I only play occasionally, but I have a few toons on Excelsior, Everlasting, and Torchbearer. Hope to see all of you -- BoW and non-BoW alike -- in-game! *stumbles out and faceplants next to a glowie*
