How Are There Players Level 1000+?
Heliphyn34u replied to TailAbNormal96's topic in General Discussion
Or Nemidon? I'm picturing a mini-Hami in the head-bubble of a Warhulk . . . -
I really like Air Superiority, and it's definitely more about the mitigation than the damage. Knocking enemies out of the sky is handy -- Caleb, yes, but also if I'm trying to put a Sky Skiff in range of the team tank. Knocking mobs down to sort of catch my breath in between attacks is good too, especially at lower levels when End runs out faster. And the bigger the enemy is, the longer it takes for them to get up. I can punch that Bladegrass in the ankle multiple times before it can hit me back again -- bonus! I would also probably give a higher rating to Grant Invisibility (very helpful for getting squishy teammates to the end room of a mission map when speeding) and Assault (a damage boost I only need one EndRed in? yes please!). I almost never take the Medicine pool -- the thing I never liked about it is the powers being interruptible -- so I can't offer an informed opinion about that one. Still a great guide, though! Plenty of detailed explanation of why OP rated certain powers a certain way, and the Travel Speed Comparisons are very useful.

I mean, it'd start as a fight, but they'd just end up making out, so call it a draw.

Any plans to add City Info Tracker?
Heliphyn34u replied to Disruptor's topic in Tools, Utilities & Downloads
I would love to have CIT, just to keep track of my own toons. Details like which toons have sold or bought items on the market, which IOs are slotted or in trays, which badges have been obtained or are in process -- it would be great to be able to access that information without having to log in. But this: makes it seem like any version of CIT would be impossible. I understand why a CIT that let players view other players' character details would be disallowed -- privacy concerns, of course. But I wish there was an app that could let a player access their own character information. C'est la vie. -
Team Transporter - vehicle customization
Heliphyn34u replied to UltraAlt's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The blue callbox probably wouldn't be allowable just due to copyright issues. That said, it would be cool to have customizable skins or alternate versions of the Team Transporter available (whichever is possible). How it works now is alignment-based, right? If you're a villain/rogue, it calls an Arachnos flyer, and if you're a hero/vigilante, it calls a Longbow flyer. For in-game lore purposes, it seems like Goldside should have its own vehicle, though I'm not sure what that would be (a Praetorian Clockwork shows up, zaps you unconscious, then you wake up at the mission door?) It would be fun if the Golden Roller could skid to halt to transport you, or a small version of the ghost ship (ghost dinghy?) Or maybe just a large (tintable?) vortex that appears at your feet, and when you click it, it pulls you in. -

I like this idea! Could have it hew closer to Dr. Kane, with a gingerbread house like UltraAlt suggested. A Christmas double feature would be more complex, and having nods to Die Hard and/or Home Alone would work. I dunno, maybe in one, you have to fight a yeti and turn it to your side, then climb a tower fighting snowies to get to the top and defeat/throw off a version of the Winter Lord in a suit (like a giant frozen version of Kingpin), then in the other you have to fight a multitude of enemies through a house (gingerbread house or log cabin) and find pieces of a gingerbread man (glowies) which, once assembled, fights at your side throwing icing (water powers) and candy canes (spines powers) against the big boss: the house itself! It would be lots of work to put together, I'm sure, but it would be lots of fun to have a similarly locked-at-4-teammates trial for more mid-range content (level 25-30? or 30-35?). And maybe the trial could award a random Winter IO.

It's true, the IOs being bucketed together in the market does call into question whether an IO being purchased and then detuned would "remember" what level it was when attuned anyway, but this: seems exploitable? Buy and craft low-level recipes that scale up to 50, attune, detune, convert to a rarer 50, sell for profit? I dunno, maybe I'm overthinking. I'm not opposed to the idea of detuning, and I don't know if it would be game-breaking. I guess I'm just remembering how much more costly and time-consuming it was to craft, and attune, IOs back on live. Part of the point was that you had to choose whether you wanted an IO that scaled with you (for the level range of that particular set) or one that was fixed at one level but could be boosted. As to whether it's necessary to retain the requirement to choose, I don't know. The one thing I would object to in this suggestion is the creation of a new kind of salvage. In my previous post, I suggested using 2 converters, but what I meant was catalysts -- one enhancement catalyst to attune, two (or more?) to detune. It might still be expensive, but less dependent on the whims of the market.

I love the additions to the head tank (rubber ducky ftw!), and would like to request the following: goldfish piranha jellyfish tiny deepsea diver

The thing about attuned enhancements is they are often made from IOs that aren't level 50, so if it was made possible to detune them, they'd logically revert to whatever level the original non-attuned IO was when it was converted. If I understand OP correctly, it's really two asks: 1. convert this attuned IO back to non-attuned, and 2. make the non-attuned IO level 50. If implemented, such a change should probably have a higher cost than just attuning (use 2 converters to detune?). I do want to echo what OEM61 said about stashing things in a personal base. It costs nothing to build a base (well, nothing but time), and there's plenty of utility to being able to store enhancements etc. so you don't have to go through the rigamarole of selling/buying (and losing inf in the process) when you reach level 50 and want boostable IOs. Unless you only play one toon, I suppose.

If a mini version of Baby New Year was made, would he be small enough to be non-creepy?

You forgot the yodeling/mooing. And presents exploding with confetti (and sometimes mini living snowmen).

I like this idea, though I think it would be fun to have different sections of Galaxy CIty as co-op hazard zones for different levels, either using war walls to split things up or just the kind of bridge transition between zones like it is on Goldside. GC is pretty small, so I don't think it could be split too many ways (3, tops), but even after making Striga co-op, adding more co-op content at more levels seems like a good idea, and thematically, a partially/mostly destroyed GC would want all the help it could get. Maybe a worthwhile longterm goal for the devs, but not something I can see happening anytime soon.

So, on Thursday they will drop a Winter Load in all the zones. Wait...

My toon is level 23.

Fun fact: Nemesis pops popcorn in unoccupied Warhulk suits. That's why they're always exploding -- leftover popcorn oil.

Back on live, my SG on Freedom would run together, no powers allowed, through as many zones as possible without using the tram to get all the way back to Ms. Liberty when one of us dinged 50. It amused us, anyway. I recall dragging everyone through the Hollows on my 50 run. 😄 Not to be confused with a Lemming Run, of course. Wait, what were we talking about?
