A Day Job would be great but what could work? Arachnos Agent wouldn't work since RIP is totally independent from Arachnos itself and while Dirty Cop feels perfect, Law Enforcer (the blueside version) only awards to heroes/vigilantes. -

With the changes to 'The Hive', the police drone is behaving itself. Heroes can see the Arachnos helicopter on the mini map but obviously can't enter. Villains can't see Eden entrance on the mini map and also can't enter. The Reconnaissance Officer is tucked out of sight at the villain entrance like he's scared. I get it, "Don't want a tree to eat me", but on the sidewalk across from the field hospital would seem more immediately visible than where he's standing. Giant monsters are giant but you might want one more Arachnos drone on the back side of the helicopter as an anti trolling measure in case someone tries to lead one around the back to the field hospital. -
Fine at a cursory glance. Back coded objects seemed to be in the final room. Never done the content with this map so no clue on what specifics are best. No AE icons on the mini map. Granted, it has the Abandoned Sewer Trial's issue with verticality kinda messes with that but the lack of icons feels "broken". The mini map was missing or extremely zoomed-in in the editor. People might ask for a version without the various generators and lasers both due to Defeat Alls and for more generic alien map uses. I understand this is unlikely this close to release but calling it out. This is still a way better designed map for AE than the asteroid maps, though.

So, The Hive changes: Can zone in as a villain. Can get an exploration badge as a villain. "Pilot" seems active as a Day Job. Got zapped by the hero drone. Only one to do this was the one deepest into the War Wall door. The others ignored me. Properly rezzed in the villain field hospital. My hero was not zapped by the villain drones even after going up to the pilot. My hero could not zone into the Rogue Isles. Villains didn't seem to have any sort of Reconnaissance Officer to explain the zone in an in-character way.

@Cobalt Arachne So with the revised Kallisti Wharf offices, there are a few spawn points coded as Middle even though they are encountered first. I made a list so that they could possibly be converted to Front. I also noted the rare times that there was a Middle past the back that should probably be converted to Back. Tiny 2 - Zone/Mission: KW_Office_15_02 Position: [-150.5 21.3 15.2] [-70.8 21.3 -103.3] [-127.5 21.3 -116.2] Tiny 3 - Zone/Mission: KW_Office_15_03 Position: [-66.8 21.3 107.7] [-193.9 21.3 12.2] [-196.4 21.3 -34.3] [-193.5 21.3 69.8] BTW, the room they are in is slightly misaligned on the mini map and the edges where it connects has some flickering. The one Middle spawn past the Back is [14.9 21.3 -515.9]) Small 1 - Zone/Mission: KW_Office_30_01 Position: [-70.9 21.3 92.1] Small 3 - Zone/Mission: KW_Office_30_03 Position: [-406.6 21.3 3005.6] This is a Middle spawn past the Back. Medium 1 - Zone/Mission: KW_Office_45_01 Position: [-73.5 21.3 18.7] I also thank you since I see a few of these have exactly one Front location. Having only one Front (or Middle or Back) can be useful for an author to setup a scene, like having a first guard or a designated ally spot. "separately" is misspelled in the above Patch Notes.

I've seen it but I forget where. I will note that some mobs won't properly animate. Not sure if I'll have time but I'll try to look for it.

For today's Mission Architect Sunday Special, we ran: @Darmian's Spirals: Part Two. (#55358). More goldside espionage! And so the next cycle begins. Smaller turnout but makes sense with Open Beta going on. All's well because... NEXT TIME... MASS returns to Excelsior on June 15. -
untilUsing the style of a double feature, the Mission Architect Sunday Special is a monthly event for story based AE missions consisting of two arcs. Generally, the first will be selected ahead of time by the team leader while the second will be a random pick or chosen by one of the other team members. MASS will be across shards but the first Sunday in the month will always be on Indomitable. It starts approximately 2PM EST in the RWZ for co-op teaming.

Y'know...what make the "review" even more off in tone is that Massively gave a positive spotlight on the recent base building contest. I wonder if they're playing on shards or times that don't reflect their own tastes and it's skewing their views on the rest of the game.

In the end, I think this is the crux of the issue. As a review, this is simply a poor review. Disliking individual things is fine and there's space for opinion pieces but this does their readership a disservice in the space of being an actual review.

My thing is, Massively has been covering CoH since the retail days. Why is this review basing things off the very first build of Open Beta? There's a level of "you should know better". I also feel that the new story arcs (which, I haven't played all of them) lean towards smaller teams for how story heavy they are, as opposed to speed runs.

Sunday (2PM) will be the next Mission Architect Sunday Special. So far, Indomitable has had the best turnout. -
There is an event going on, the Mission Architect Sunday Special, that cycles the shards playing story based (non farm) AE missions. It has completed a cycle and you're invited to the next run. Yes, you. You're invited. The planned times for the next rotation look to be: Indomitable is the 1st Sunday of every month Excelsior is June 15, 2025 Everlasting is July 20, 2025 Torchbearer is August 17, 2025 Reunion is September 21, 2025 Victory is October 19, 2025 2PM EST in the Rikti War Zone (unless otherwise announced). But...I know not everyone plays stories in AE. There are plenty of valid reasons why. Even I get frustrated with things concerning Mission Architect. So my question for those who don't is, why don't you play AE? And I ask in a general curiosity--not as some weird gotcha.

Just realized something with the new RIP Precinct that I didn't think of previously: Considering it has drones and is partially indoors, should it have a different neighborhood color on the map (like green) in contrast to the rest of the Mercy neighborhood's yellow? -

Don't know how deep rooted it is in the code to update it but the lvl up only mentions the old Port Oakes SG registrar.
